You are right on track with the tree lines. Everyone just needs to take a camera and photograph a prototype railroad . What you will see is trees ,fences ,and brush running parallel to the tracks.l think modelers want to show off their trains ,therefore eliminating these details.
Fred, the layout looks great. That kit looks awesome. Mo is a great friend for getting that for you. I look forward to seeing Mo at the store. Hope you are staying healthy. I still have a persistent cough. This is going on two weeks.
I used to go to Hattons a lot when I visted Liverpool and they never should have moved from their wonderful store in Allerton to that awful, soulless and retail/browsing unfriendly industial unit in that aear off the motorway.
@@fredeisen7401 closing that store allows them to move to the US and do it all out of Nebraska - better tax structure than the UK and less EU BS to deal with
@@acsxfan1 I think the message they sent said they were closing the business but do not have a final closure date. This is from their FAQ sheet: You may have several questions about how this has come about and how this affects you directly in regards to pre-orders, the trunk, pre-owned and more. We've put together a small FAQ which we hope answers most of these questions.
The company is NOT insolvent. The company is being wound down in an orderly fashion, leaving no outstanding debts. Changing market conditions have had a large impact on the business, we have seen this in declining customer numbers, changing customer demographics and supply chain disruption. Increased cost of compliance has become a large factor. Brexit, GST and other operational costs of running an international business have all increased dramatically over the past few years. We do not have an exact date for closing down as of yet. We will be communicating this in the coming weeks.
@@acsxfan1 Also I know a person who still works there and all of the Hatton employees are looking for a job or moving back to the UK that does not seem to indicate they will continue operations here in the US

Seems it was a big mistake purchasing MTS but maybe they were trying to save the company by expanding to an international market.
