I was freaking out since i bought the unit used. While running the tests, I heard the hot water struggling to fill. I opened it up and heard better flow. Running a wash now and have fingers crossed. Thanks for this easy to follow fix!
I'm so glad this fix worked for you! It's always a relief when a simple solution can save you a lot of stress and money.
After watching my wife cleaning the hoses for a while and her complaining the washer is messed up , I stumbled across this video. Sure enough, it's the hot water valve not opening up. Thanks for the easy fix. My wife thinks I'm a genius 😂😂😂
I'm glad the video was able to help you fix the issue! It's always satisfying to solve a problem and impress your loved ones.
This video was awesome!
That was the part and it worked great! You made the whole issue real simple.
Glad it helped!
Awesome! Thank you so much. Saved me a huge headache!
Best video on whirlpool error code LF we've found, thanks!!!
Thanks!🙂
Best LF video I have found as well. I found that my cold water was not turning on
Thanks for the video. Of course ours didn’t come a part like yours. I did fine that it was the cold water valve. Thanks for your advice. Now have to order part and start washing again. Have a great weekend..
Glad it helped
Great video and very informative. As a HVAC Tech for 50 years just one tip. Get the right tools and use the right way. Other Techs see this and recognize issues workmanship. This is not a criticism but will be helpful in the future and improve your credibility.
GREAT JOB! how often does the panel go out?
Hey thank you for the help I purchased the balance and works perfect 👌
Great to hear!
Great video, thanks. Do you have a list of the different test modes. So far I know 000 is door latch, 001 is CW, 002 is HW, 008 is drain pump, and 012 is spin test. Was wondering what all the other test codes are. Thanks again.
Hi Jetur, I have a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer Diagnostic Mode video with all information in description. Just click on my Video list and look for video. Hope this helps. Have a great day!
Thanks for sharing.
My Cabrio is flashing F5 & E3. I've unplugged it for an hour or longer several times. When I plug it back in electrical outlet it immediately starts flashing F5 & E3 pressing the power button does not work.
Is there a way to reset or override to possibly get a couple of loads of laundry done. Repairman can't come for a couple of weeks.
Thanks you for your help.
Hello, if your door opens, you can take a flathead or butter knife to pull out the door latch from the door lock assembly and press back into the door lock, I would do this twice it may fix it? Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. Please let me know if it works out for you best regards, Matthew.
thank you i fix my washer
Come help me please! 😆 🤣
Hello I have a cabrio washer set I believe the main board has went bad. It gave a error for the lid lock but putting it in service mode a f6 e3 along with the lid lock code came up I ordered and new lid lock but once put in the clock makes a clicking noise and the lid lock code pops up
Great job explaining how to run through the diagnostic codes, huge help. 👍
Thank you !🙂
Thank for your video! went though the steps and when i run the cold water test 001, I get no power to the valve, which seems to indicate the problem is with the board not sending power. Do you have any info about fixing this, when it looks like problem in not the valve but lack of power being sent to it?
If the valve does not receive power while in test mode, it suggests that your MPC is not supplying power. This situation indicates a potential issue with your MPC, possibly indicating a faulty component.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
So what next after you replace the hoses and inlet valve and it still does the same error code and won't run?
For real this guy is useless might as well not even post this
Im getting the LF code after 10 min then the washer shuts down. When i turn it back on i dont have the LF code but it repeats. I checked the valve screen and cleaned it and the hose. It's not letting me run the test. Can you please help?
I have the LF code on my cabrio. Hot, cold, and soap solenoids work. I tested this with diagnostic mode. I bought a new solenoid pack and its still doing it. Help 😢
Awesome job
Thanks!
Thank you
You're welcome
Hi
I am trying gto get the diagnostic started not working is then Machi e to be off??
I don’t have hot water hooked up but it’s still throwing F8 and E1 and I have reset it multiple times and it’s still doing it and I went through in our chat everything and everything was working. Went through it and did the temperature in soil one went through each level and everything is working but somethings still not working, but that makes any sense.
Based on your explanation, it seems that the issue lies with your MPC. Even if you disconnect the hot water, the washer will still display an error code because it expects hot water during a cycle. The only solution is to ensure that your setting is set to cold. However, if you're still not receiving power during the test mode, it indicates a problem with your MPC. If you feel unsure about handling this, it's advisable to seek assistance from an appliance technician. I hope this information helps, and I wish you the best of luck!
What kind of meter did you use to check the part voltage?
A Multimeter. Hope this helps!
Do you put your Multimeter on (squiggly line / straight line) =V set to 20 for a voltage reading in a range of 120 V to 140 Volts, when running a check if the valve is receiving sufficient power?
Thanks so very much!!
Longshot you'll reply... washer shows LF code and is slow to fill.
When I go into diagnostic mode it shows F0E3 but no LF code. This is an overloaded washer code... But nothing inside.
It's clear that there is low to no flow on the cold side and LF code shows up during the cycle but no indication of about the F0E3 during the cycle. Only in diagnostics.
I'm going to replace the fill valve but wonder how to rid this other code that shouldn't be present
It's challenging to diagnose without being there in person. The issue might be related to your clutch not releasing properly, which puts significant resistance on the tub, leading to the error code. Also, if you're seeing the "LF" code, it suggests that your water inlet valve might be malfunctioning. Can you easily spin the tub by hand? If it's difficult, there might be an obstruction between the tub and the basket. I hope this provides some insight!
I have the same exact problem... LF error code is given after the machine stops mid wash, but after I run the diagnostic test, I get the error code F0E3 and not LF... Any ideas?
Thanks so much for the video
any ideas @onlineappliancetech ?
I replaced water valve same prob im not on a well loud screech when starting no water flushed supply lines and valves 1/4 turn i dont have cabrio have wtw6120hw0 dont know how to get codes
Sorry to hear. Check my video out... It's called "Whirlpool Cabrio Washer Diagnostic Mode [ Pull up Error Codes] [WTW80 ]" It's under my video section. If you have a multimeter you can activate cold and then hot valve to see if you have power? I hope this helps!
I’m so confused 😣
my washer is saying no water detected does the hot water have to be working as well for it to work?
Yes, unless you have your water setting on cold only it should not detect, however if you have setting on warm setting it will ask for hot and cold at same time & show an error code if your hot water is not connected. Hope this helps! 🙂
Did you do a video replacing the part?
This is a different washer but someway to replace water inlet valve .. ruclips.net/video/J0yUWHxdq5I/видео.html
Great video. I am getting LF error code, but when I test the hot and cold valves, both are supplying water at a pretty decent rate into machine, but I’m still seeing the error code. Does this indicate a bad control board? Thank you!
That's a good one.. It seems like you're dealing with an issue on a washing machine. An LF error code typically signifies a "Long Fill" problem, which indicates that the washing machine is taking too long to fill with water.
If both hot and cold water are supplying at a decent rate to the machine, but you're still getting the LF error code, then the issue might not be with the water supply.
Before considering a bad control board, there are a few other things you should check:
Inlet Hoses and Screens: Check the inlet hoses for any kinks, clogs, or damage. Also, check the screens on the water valve to see if they are clogged up with debris. A small filter or screen is usually placed on the water intake valves to prevent any particles from entering the machine. Over time, these can become clogged and affect the water flow.
Water Level Pressure Switch: This is what tells the washing machine how full it is. If it's faulty, it might be telling the machine that it's full when it's not, causing the machine to stop filling. This could potentially be the source of the error.
Water Inlet Valve: The water inlet valve controls the flow of hot and cold water into your washing machine. If this valve is defective, it may not be letting enough water into the machine. This could be due to a mechanical or electrical fault in the valve.
f you've checked all these and the error persists, then the control board might indeed be the issue. In such a case, you may want to consult a professional for further assistance since dealing with electronic components can be tricky and potentially dangerous if not done correctly.
Remember, before conducting any of these checks, ensure that the washing machine is turned off and unplugged to avoid any risk of electrical shock.
So I have both lines connected but the hot is turned off and I'm only running a cold wash. Still does it though
Sounds like a bad water inlet valve, you can check for power to the valve if you have a multimeter? If you have power and water supply from the wall it should be the water inlet valve.
@Online Appliance Tech I'll give it a go. I had the tech come out to change them and this started immediately after. We're trying to get to the bottom of water hammering. I installed arrestors and that didn't quite remedy it so I'm hoping to eliminate the appliance as a culprit. The LF code is new though. I'll circle back thanks!
How do I order valve for Camaro whirlpool washer? Thanks
Amazon. The part number is on the side of the solenoid pack
how do you get the screens out that are in the valves?
Hi. I am not sure if you can remove them from this valve? You can try to pry out with a flat head, or use a needle nose to see if you can pull them out? Hope this helps!
I can’t get the dang display off, using a butter knife and the thing won’t budge took all the screws out that I needed to along the back panel. HELP
I got it! Had to use a stronger stainless steel thick knife and twist the knife. Whew💪 took some elbow grease 😂
I did this, I have no cold water flow during test, but I do have 120 VAC.. Now what? I disconnect cold water from back of washer and verified good flow from hose.
If you checked all of that and all is good, I would recommend replacing the water inlet valve.
@@onlineappliancetech I ordered the valve on Amazon, came next day, $40... Had it installed in about 20 minutes and all good. Great video, saved me over $200, likely.
@@jett78 Happy to help!
What if there is no power to the cold side that's the one that is not working on my machine
If you press the cold water setting and test with a multimeter but do not get any power, it indicates a bad main control, which is unusual. Most of the time, the issue is with the water inlet valve. Did you select cold only and check the power to the valve? If so, and you did not get 120 volts, it would indicate a bad main control. Hope this helps!
Can you put in the discription what the different codes are on the machine starting at 000 all the way through 075 I believe it is
I’ve tried everything to get it in diagnostic mode but it won’t work
My washer is showing lid lock blinking and then end on the display 🤷♀️
I don’t feel or see a clip
Clip to remove top panel?
@@onlineappliancetech yes. No clip on mine.
Mine wont do shit it stay on 18 minutes. Water pressure sucks too
what error codes do you have?
@@onlineappliancetech F2 , E1
E3 error code
