Welcome to the Stewart Copeland's Show.
YES
Welcome to “The Stewart Copeland Show” is correct grammar. Great sentiment regardless.
Or you could say, “Welcome to Stewart Copeland’s Show”.
😂😂😂😂👏👏👏👏
@@beefcurtains3095 What's the point of being a grammar police if you get the sentiment?
2:25. Look closely at Copeland. He's playing the snare with his left hand and the cymbal with his right. He breaks the snare stick so while he's grabbing a replacement, his right hand does double duty continuing to play the cymbal but hitting the snare as well. I've seen him do this on many occasions. The guy literally never misses a beat!
wow, i agree with U dude :D he didn't miss the beat
Most decent drummers can do that…not impressive
@@bradleymitchell3808 dude what a hater
And considering the fact he looks cranked out of his mind here it’s even more impressive
@@AleisterCrowleyMagus "cranked out of his mind" Are you implying that he was on drugs?
I have seen the beating heart of The Police and its name is Stewart Copeland.
Amen
That's beautiful! And accurate.
Sting is the brain and Andy's the spine
That's because he's a drummer and he keeps the beat
That's what their there for
I commend Sting for being able to sing- I wouldn’t be able to stop listening to Stewart. 👀🤯
Sting was high as a kite
Copeland my favorite drummer.
If you are here from Steve Terryberry, you are a legend, and you are looking for 2:02.
The misheard lyric is: A year has passed since I *broke my nose*
3 Geniuses!!
Copeland Best drummer of all time.
No doubt about it
He is not better than Neil Peart
He is the best
The magical sound of those days. Nowdays the sound is very clear, but cold and dull.
love to 1980 and message in the bottle.
Stuart Copeland is from another planet.
The best drummer all times
Listen to Stewart Copeland on drums! the best musician in this band by far. A trio band creates all this space, and he fills it with beautiful intricate drumming... makes for a great listen.
Sting is a genius and a hero. Without Copeland…..no Police.
Was, is and always will be Stewart's band.
its like sting is saying "its been a year since i broke my nose" at 2:01
Stewart Copeland’s drumming is nutty.
The Police was a great musicians! Stewart Copeland is a beast on drums! Late 70's and early 80's beautiful years.
Thanks from Italy for this gem!
Andy Summers is a phenomenal guitarist too. Some of his arrangements during the Police years, are mind blowing in their harmonic complexity.
Christ alive! Stewart Copeland. So much musical sensibility and innovation. Miraculous!
I got your message in a bottle,Sting! 😍🥰
one of the greatest tracks of all time 🔥🔥🔥
👍👍

Hamburg, Germany in 1980 was the place to be!!!!
Stewart Copeland's Band!!!!!!
amazing drumming copeland is #3 on a top 100 drummers list you can hear why
and that's 2 places too low
@@IanJessup1 damn hahahhaa true
Stewart rules!!!
You are right about that the Beating Heart of Stewart Copeland. I saw them 82 83 84 2007 reunions concert.
The drums are just amazing.
Listening 2020 🎸😎
Every live police song is a new one for the mighty Copeland. He just goes with the flow! The best drummer of all time for me. That snare is a pistol shot to the heart❤️
Stewart is an amazing drummer.
Andy and Sting seem knackered! Stewart is just a monster as always. The SAS of drummers ha ha!
Stewart Copeland...good Lord!!!
2:02 here from Stevie T misheard lyrics lol
@F1 Basti so am I
I love The Police. And I especially love this performance because it shows that they are human. The so called out of tune chord just adds to the performance. Notice Sting just smiles it off, and he's is a perfectionist. I have listened to this performance so much that the so called out of tune part is music to my ears. It is Ear Delicious! The stage is hot and they are coming back for an encore. Instruments don't have cooling, so out of tuning happens. Besides the audience is loving it. I love it.
Serge Lafargue It isn’t “so-called”, and it isn’t a part; the guitar is tuned flatter than the bass, and Sting’s vocals are off (forgivable because it’s the last song in a long set on a long tour). But the fact that you said “out of tune chord” just affirms to me that you don’t really know what you’re talking about
💚. ..........الحب لا يزال أقوى قوة على هذا الكوكب
Sting is so cool he doesn't need to tune his bass, or play in tune.
Andy que guitarrista. . . Coopeland. . . No existe comparación eres más que excelente sting no puedo ni se que decir lloro c/vez te escucho.
2:03 a year has passed since I broke my nose
How is this just about 40 years old???????!!!!
I don’t understand why people don’t like the tune of the guitar, i really enjoy it! Sound much rock than the studio version!
I think it has to do with how the harmonies are missing so a lot of the color of the song is gone live
For some reason, on the Rockpalast shows from the early 80s the guitars often sound out of tune
@@marty6779 it looks like something to do with the pedal, i'm not 100% sure but durning the 1983 synchronicity concert it sounds exactly like the album.
@@Nowu no, I mean, Rockpalast was a German TV show. And on many performances of different bands I have seen on this show, the guitars are out of tune. weird coincidence.
@@marty6779 Yeah it does seem to be a bit out of tune, but if you look at their 1980 preformance at hong kong it's basically the same tone
MUSIC FOREVER ***NO LIMIT !!!
best three piece band ever...ever
For me, Rush
robert roche Cream
The Jimi Hendrix Experience
and Mitch and Jimi even had to carry Noel
rush... police... nirvana for me
The Jam
They are a LEGEND
Forty years ago, already competents at the edge!!
Copeland ofc is an all time great. The band was firing on all cylinders at this point. Even with some wrong notes, stings sounds like starting to lise his voice at some poimt its still awesome, captivating.
Stewart Copeland sounds so bloody amazing! Without Stewart’s invitation to join the police in late 1976 sting might never have made it and its worth remembering the police was Stewart’s band...as will always be the case!
JÖHN GRAY- The Fact that Sting went solo and sold over 50 million records is a testament of his talent. Copeland got lucky to find a such a talented bass singer to lead the band. Without Sting, the Police would have been an average or a niche band. Sting was literate songwriter who knew how to compose some of the greatest pop rock songs. Even Copeland agreed that he hit the jackpot by finding and recruiting Sting.
0:52 sting tries to tune his bass as fast as he can...
Hendrix did that a lot lol, but it's not right
この時代に生まれたかったが仕方ない。動画アップ有り難う御座います。
man, tele's have such great tone, but I've never seen one that can stay in tune for more than 2 minutes
Copeland is a beast!!!
Holy Mother!
one of technically most accomplished pop bands i've listened to. even if out of tune a little. Copeland is awsome
BRAVOh what treasured band
Copeland maestro
This song is so PERFECT
This shows that the most essential part of a power trio is a beast drummer.
as in Ginger Baker
Copeland at his very best!
Stewart Copeland
Freaking good !
What a band .... !
Apart from Sting being a little hoarse from touring, or whatnot, this version is better than the 2008( overdubbed) live version.
I just saw mind melting version of this by a couple open mike guys. It was GREAT.
Sounds like a live drum and bass version, he sounds like his daughter here vocally aswell. Awesome performance
Saw police on concert live Madison square garden 1n
The greatest sound ever , hoooot
LOVE LOVE LOVE
The good old days.Who cares if it was a semi tone down here and there. That's live shit for ya. Brilliant technique. Good times
Stewart show
Start 😅❤
Я вырос на этом альбоме , магнитофон маяк 203 , 1980 год .
Excellent version
Sting's famous ee-yooooooo at 4:07. Not featured in the studio version of this song.
Shame mate....
They invented a whole new sound
2:30 you can see Stewart changing drumsticks and one of them goes flying
Borja Larrain and didn’t miss a beat :)
failed on the twirl but it didn't even faze him
The Police - Message In A Bottle (live in Hamburg '80)
A masterwork
Sting looks fucking torched haha
Jacob James haha
FKCKCKCKCKCKCKCK SO GOOD
Everyone on here praising stewart snd sting as they should but i dont think people give andy enough credit as a guitar player and a musician
I stop hearing Sting.. the drums are the real thing here!
Great
A year has passed scince I broke my nose
2:03 hahah even they couldn't get the changes correct. it's twice first chorus then 4 next with 2 pauses.... Andy does 2 pauses on FIRST chorus and blows it. That's live for ya.
That's the way Andy used to play it live: silent during the "A year has passed..." part.
@@Texturas75 maybe so but it sounds like a mistake because the chord doesn't fit the part. oh well.... it's their song, they can play it any way they choose!
@@Texturas75 Yep! But it changed later in other concerts. I heard him say in an interview; we never play the song note for note like in the album.
@@TruthSurge I just read your reply and now I know what you meant. That F#m chord indeed sounded like a mistake.
FANTÁSTICO
Just a castaway
An island lost at sea
Another lonely day
With no one here but me
More loneliness
Than any man could bear
Rescue me before I fall into despair
I'll send an SOS to the world
I'll send an SOS to the world
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle
A year has passed since I wrote my note
But I should have known this right from the start
Only hope can keep me together
Love can mend your life
But love can break your heart
I'll send an SOS to the world
I'll send an SOS to the world
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle
Walked out this morning
Don't believe what I saw
A hundred billion bottles
Washed up on the shore
Seems I'm not alone at being alone
A hundred billion casatways
Looking for a home
I'll send an SOS to the world
I'll send an SOS to the world
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle
Sending out an SOS
I hope you enjoy, man!
Cheers!

Nice performance, but the guitar is tuned a bit flat. It was ticking me off
It's the bass that's out. Sting was not a great fretless player live, as he has admitted.
I think it was the fault of the flanger that Andy Summers used, i was ticked off by it at first, but the bass is really off.
its the JC
@@thewomble1509 No, it's the guitar
当時まだ中学生。YMOファミリーを中心にテクノを追い求めていた時、FMラジオからこの曲が…グループ名も全く知らなかったけど一発ではまりましたね
Does anyone wonder if Copeland's drums would have been better with another band or were they just perfect with this band?
I sometimes think he would have clashed with other bands and it was Sting that allowed him the space to do this.
Either way, I'm glad The Police exist.
I want to know... How the HELL did a camera from 1980 record this in 60fps? xD
German technology
They probably recorded it to tape. And from that analog source you can get it in any digital quality.
Lmao film cameras from the 20s can record at 60fps. 60fps is only new in digital.
damn, Sting can jump like a kangaroo too! The guy is definitely multitalented.
que tema!!!!
You can tell they’re pissed. His voice is gone, and the guitarist hates his guitar right now.
Encore, ya would have thought someone wouldve tuned that tele before they hit the stage
Copeland is AMAZING
message in tilinnnnnn
Does Summers use an expression pedal for his swells?
THIS GIG JUST GOT UPLOADED FROM THE OFFICIAL ROCKAPALAST CHANNEL, is there any chance you can reupload that gig in 60fps? their quality is SUPERB
