    Hi! it is much easier to fill the molds with cake first, chill, and then remove the cake pops and then dip them in chocolate. The method in this video was very time consuming! hope this helps you save some time! :)

      Do you need to dip the stick in chocolate? Or does it not pull out when you dip it? Sometimes it does if you don't dip the stick first

      This method doesn’t give a smooth finish to the outside of the cake. Also because you have to put the cakesickle down to allow the chocolate to set the chocolate tends to drip down to the bottom and for a “ring” around the cakesickle.

    A tip when filling with the chocolate. Fill with the melted chocolate, make sure there is a good amount of chocolate covering the whole thing. Flip it upside down over a rack and let it drip. When it stops then scrape the top with the scraper to get a smooth edge. The chocolate be even all over. Also add slightly less filling so there is a very small gap to the top. Add the chocolate an give it a little shake. The chocolates will be smooth and even on the back as well.

    Thank you for taking the time to share the recipe. You are so welcome spoken and calm! My husband loves cake, but with just the two of us, it’s hard to eat an entire cake before it gets stale. And, he doesn’t like the over sweetness of regular cake pops. This has the potential to work well to have only a couple servings each by using a small cake. Again, thank you!

  • @KP-nx8lo

    You could probably make cake pops in the mold without the chocolate, freeze them for a few mins to harden up then take them out of the molds and let them come to room temp before dipping them in melted chocolate.

    • @CookingFantasies
      @CookingFantasies  4 года назад +90

      You are right it's easier to dip them in the chocolate that's how I used to do it before, but I prefer this method because they come out much better looking and neater, the chocolate is shiny and makes a perfect shell. When you dip them, the chocolate must have the perfect temperature to make a layer that's not too thin neither too thick, and you have to hold it in your hand for some time until it drips so it's a bit more time consuming.. if you are going to be covering them with many decorations and garnish anyway, you can dip them and they will still come out perfect.
      If you choose to dip them in the chocolate, make sure to do it while they are still frozen or at least very cold so the chocolate sets immediately, don't wait till they are in room temperature 😘💕

    I feel like it would be easier to melt chocolate into a tall cup. Put just the cake batter in the molding. Then put the stick in and pull out the cakesickle. Then at the end, dip the cakesickle in the cup of chocolate and let sit.
    A lot easier, efficient, and less messy! Can’t wait to try this!!!

      Hello 💕 you can simply place them in an air tight container or wrap them well with plastic foil or in a zipper bag and freeze them just as they are. Make sure to first freeze them separate until they are solid, then you can pack them together, this way the shape and deco will stay intact. They also thaw quiet fast, so you can take them a couple hours or just one hour before you need them and they will be ready! You van also keep them in the fridge for few days if you don't want to freeze them and they stay perfect! You can freeze them for up to 3 months without a problem! I hope this helps 😘💕💕

    Thanks for this video. I’m making some next weekend for my daughters birthday party and this video was very helpful. Also I have a question. I wanted to use the confetti cake mix for the filling and I wanna use cream cheese icing. Is that ok or does it have to be butter cream?

    Which chocolate brand did you use..

    • @CookingFantasies
      @CookingFantasies  3 года назад

      I use backing chocolate or couverture, you can use whatever you prefer just make sure that it has at least 30% cocoa butter and to melt it slowly.. I hope this helps and sorry for the late reply! ❤

    Hi!! Love this. Does the lemon cake end up tasting like lemon? Can I do it with birthday cake ?

    • @CookingFantasies
      @CookingFantasies  3 года назад +1

      Hi yes lemon cake is my favorite with white chocolate it tastes really good, and yes you can make it with any cake you have, starting from brownie, sponge, chocolate, red velvet... just add the frosting according because not all cakes have the same texture.. I hope this helps 🤗💕

    if i dont want to use buttercream , what can i substitute it with

    • @CookingFantasies
      @CookingFantasies  4 года назад +1

      Hi! If you cannot use buttercream you can add any kind of frosting, you will just need to adjust the quantity depending on the frosting you're using. Other alternatives would be, cream cheese, Nutella, any kind of spreads, jams, ganaches.. You can basically use anything that goes with cake, just try balancing the sweetness! I hope this helps
