Great combos! I do intermittent fasting daily (19:5) and use frozen berries to break my fast - after my fasted training (and half an hour after my pwo drink of spirulina). My regular is a big serving of blueberries, pumpkin seeds, almonds, walnuts, chia seeds, banana, cacao nibs, greek yogurt and a teaspoon of ceylon cinnamon and a sprinkle of cocoa powder. In addition, will add a tiny portion of either strawberries/blackberries/raspberries in a rotational manner. Apart from my greek yogurt (can't get organic), everything is organic and the nuts/seeds are soaked from the crack of dawn. Tastes divine.
For the nice cream I find adding 1/4 scoop of vanilla protein powder sweetens it and gives it the necessary vanilla flavor as well as a creamier texture. So good!
GREAT video! AND don't forget the CRANBERRIES...just blend them up with SWEETER berries like blues and straws..I do this 3-4 times each week for my breakfast!
I LOVE to use frozen berries in yogurt. It freezes the yogurt and makes another form of nice cream!!! I also put some nuts in to add protein. Yummy!!! Sometimes I add my liquid omegas too.
You cant beat how simple these are to put together. Those are the best recipes. You can put them together in seconds and be eating them in no time. Thumbs up for another awesome video.
I have the frozen berries and cottage cheese or greek yogurt for breakfast in the morning. I use the nice cream for desserts. Will try your first recipe that is new to me.
I have already made the ice cream many times. That recipe came with my ninja storm food processor. I think I will try the raspberries and cottage cheese next, it looks good. I love watching your videos Dani you have given me so many great recipe ideas. Thanks for sharing!!!!
Love frozen berries! I recently got the antioxidant berry mix from Costco! Its great! I make power smooties, or add them to my oats, countless possibilities! These recipes look awesome too! Also on a separate note, do you have a video on cooking oils? Canola vs vegetable vs olive vs coconut, etc? If not, I'd love to see you do one, or maybe a series for each! Stay awesome Dani!
Will for sure make the raspberry and cottage cheese. Thanks for clarifying that the berries would be delicious changed out. I have an allergy to blueberries but the cereal sounds and looks delicious!
The nice cream reminds me too much of my breakfast smoothies in terms of texture, but I would love to try the other two ideas (especially the cereal). It sounds delicious!
Love these tricks. Great call on the frozen raspberries actually being better than the fresh with the "cheesecake" idea. I will try that. I guess cherries aren't berries, but in the vein of what you did, I use frozen cherries to make a cherry "nice-cream." I blend some with the bananas and milk and throw in some sliced frozen cherries for texture and depth of flavor. I sometimes throw in some pecans too!
I got frozen berries at the Dollar Tree store. It's the cheapest kind of frozen berries that I can find, and it comes in a good quantity. About a 10-oz bag. I think I am going to use them to make my very first berry smoothie! I've never made a frozen berry smoothie before.
Oh wow!! I'm going to try these!! Thank you so much Dani!! I have some frozen berries from my meal prep that I have left over from smoothie bags and had no idea how to use them... but now? Haha..yummmmm!! :D Keep those videos coming!! Thank yoU!
Hi Dani, I absolutely love your channel... your energy and excitement for clean and delicious eating is such an inspiration. I've been eating cottage cheese mixed with a little peach yogurt and some frozen raspberries... though I thaw the raspberries first. I think I will try just the cottage cheese and put the frozen berries right in there. Yummy!
I am probably going to try the nice cream. looks more like something me and my kids will eat. something healthy as a filler snack instead of junk. slowly transitioning to a healthier lifestyle. very hard to do with a bunch of picky eaters
frozen blueberries with honey drizzled on them and then pour over almond milk. the berries freeze the milk and it turns it into ice cream with berries in it, it is crazy good on a hot summer evening!
Love this! Thank you for sharing. Do you ever make a roast chicken and/or chicken breasts as part of your meal prep? If so, I would love to learn some easy, weeknight meals with pre-cooked chicken as the head-start ingredient, but only if you have the time of course!
+Jared T Yes, I do, or I buy a cooked rotisserie chicken from the store and use it as a head start ingredient during the week. I will make a note of some meal prep ideas for the chicken ;)
Yummy! I'll try the nice scream.... Im sure my 4 yr old is going to love it🍦🍦🤗 I also love my frozen blueberries in my oatmeal.... Thnx for the recipes!!!
Your last recipe (berry, banana, milk) sounds scrumptious. New to this, but the 'dollar tree' had berries and couldn't resist. Thank you , FOR SIMPLE - FYING:))) more than 1 dollar, even at Walmart for the same brand
Danni, can you make a video about how to freeze fresh fruits ourselves? Sometimes I bought too much berries and I want to freeze them and use them later.
Hi I love the low fat cottage cheese with pineapple ,I think the berries would be great too .I will certainly try these recipes thank you for sharing ,
I have already tried the nice cream and love it. I am also adding Mango to it. I usually top my overnight oats with frozen berries in the summer right before I head of to university then they are a bit defrozen when I arrive. I love the other two ideas. I wished there was a dairy free option for the strawberry cottage cheese recipe that didn't contain soy. waiting for Germany to introduce coconut yoghurt or almond yoghurt 😉
I buy canned coconut cream, then open it and put it into ice trays and freeze it. I use the cream coconut cream cubes, frozen bananas, frozen berries and blend in my Vitamix blender. After I put It into serving dishes, I top with mixed nuts like walnuts, cashews etc. Then top that with hemp seeds. It is a meal by itself.
In Denmark it is recommended to boil the frozen berries for one minute in water on the stove. Fresh and frozen berries including raspberries, blackberries, strawberries and blueberries are a common source of food poisoning due to harmful viruses and bacteria, particularly the hepatitis A virus. The main causes of berry contamination include being grown in contaminated water, poor hygiene practices of berry pickers and cross-contamination with infected berries during processing.
My favorite way to enjoy frozen berries is frozen blueberries and raspberries with full fat coconut milk from the can and cinnamon so sweet and delicious
Oh buddy you got through that first recipe and I spoke out loud to my husband, "I like her!" I'm on keto diet so have to be careful! This is something I could get into!
Ok Dani omg lol so I made these amazing muffins!! So good I've been eating clean for 2 weeks I gotta tell ya I'm 46 full menopause Ive never slept better and inflammation is gone! Keep'm coming
I love the cottage cheese and berries. I use my food processor for this treat. 1/2C cottage cheese and 1/2C frozen berries and process till smooth. I top mine with grated nutmeg. Sooo good! My kids who hate cottage cheese.....they eat it and enjoy it. They dont' know its cottage cheese :)
mix the cottage cheese and frozen berries in a food processor taste just like ice cream. I'm not a fan of cottage cheese but love this cures my sweet tooth with lots of protein!
Is there a way to defrost your berries to get them to have a semi normal shape and how to get that watered down part out of them? I'm trying to defrost some to use on a cake decoration but not sure if it would work.
I LOVE frozen berries!! :D I just tried the blueberry cereal for breakfast ( in japan) and it was so good. You are great at creating recipes!! Just a quick question, can you bake with frozen berries??
+テリー thank you! so happy to have you as a viewer in Japan! :) And yes, you can bake with frozen blueberries, however, you will need to make adjustments for the water retained, unless the recipe calls for frozen blueberries.
Great video! I would love to see more recipes using frozen berries. They are taking over my freezer haha :P Maybe some recipes using frozen vegetables?
I'm so making the nice cream with my frozen blackberries. Question: do I need that frozen banana for ice cream consistency Dani or is it just for flavor? Thx.
Great idea for a mock cheesecake love it and thank you! I love nice cream lol never knew it had a proper name :) I know frozen peaches are not berries but love doing nice cream with banana frozen peaches and mint in the summer good lawd so good :)
can i ask because its frozen fruit isit easy to bite lol ? or did you thaw it or like put it in warm water before ... because i know most frozen fruits usually used for shakes .. please let me know
I love adding my frozen berries to a warm oatmeal it feels like having a scoop of ice cream on top of a warm soufflé 😋

+Amanda Davis So clever! I am definitely giving this a try.
Great combos! I do intermittent fasting daily (19:5) and use frozen berries to break my fast - after my fasted training (and half an hour after my pwo drink of spirulina).
