I have the newair version of this. While having a power tool battery option is great, the device specific batteries last far longer, and they will charge while you're driving or plugged into a wall outlet.
Ordered one but some how the battery cooling is not working for me. When AC adapters is used, it works. When makita battery is used with the makita adapter, it just display the voltage and charge level and does nothing else. Emailed bodega and ask them why as well.
Hi Brian, I was just looking at this cooler yesterday so this review is right on time. As far as the temp discrepancy, I’ve noticed with my 12v coolers that the display matches the actual inside temp more closely when the cooler has food and stuff inside. Thanks for the review, I’ll probably order one tonight.
Thanks bud👍🏻👍🏻
Very interesting cooler. Since they make dewalt adapters, I wonder if they’ll do other brands as well like Milwaukee. Have you actually put anything in it yet to see if it freezes when set at 34 degrees
I’ll be using it tomorrow to find out👍🏻
They got Milwaukee?
The biggest thing I've noticed with cheap fridges is the temperature accuracy. At the 10:10 mark you showed how low the temperature was below the actual set point. I'll pass on that. Cool that it takes tool batteries though!
👍🏻👍🏻
I just got this and the box was delivered up side down, is that going to be a problem it if turn it right side up for a day then use it?
Mine was too. Just let it sit straight up for about a day and then you’ll be fine.
It's cool but you can get like 2 days with a bag of ice.
pretty exspensive cooler if u have to buy all those batteries 😅 although the portability is a head turner😊
Yeah, it’s much better if you have these batteries already in hand for your tools (like I do) so it was not an extra purchase
Crap, that's a good deal, especially with the 5 yr compressor warranty. I wonder how long it would take to recharge the DeWalt 4ah or 5ah battery using a EF or Bluetti battery unit, say if one were camping and needed a recharge. 🤔
It takes less than an hour to recharge mine using the Dewalt rapid charger. I’ll need to check what the power draw is on, but I can’t imagine it being too high.
@@GearGadgetReviews Thanks. The size/capacity of the fridge would be ideal for weekend excursions, plus, I already use 20v DeWalt tools. :)
Thumbs-up ! Good Testing.
Interesting however; the entire control panel of your Bodega has exactly the control buttons position, matching icons and LCD read-out presentation as my new Alpicool.
Example: yours showing 'MAX', meaning after you open the doors, or first turn-on, you opted to leave it on MAX, the default maximum energy to recovering temperatures, rather than the toggled option to Eco.
But you have a internal light when you open the fridge door. I need to hold a flashlight and door open, while I use other hand to make the grab.
It will fit 2x Dewalt 20V Max 8Ah batteries.
👍🏻👍🏻
👍🏻👍🏻
👍🏻
They are 359 now the bigger one .
Will the AC adapter for the fridge charge those batteries?
No. Gotta use the Dewalt charger
