I hate when people say you can access a game for nothing if you have game pass. Having game pass means you are paying a monthly subscription to play those games.
The thing about backwards compatibility program is that there are literally 9 pages of Original Xbox games compatible on the 360, and only about a page and a half of those are compatible on the Series s/x. Overall the 360 selections compatible with the series s/x are meager compared too all the releases there were. Keep those 360’s, it’s your last hope!
Well today is my lucky day so it seems. Went to a fleamarket this morning and picked up 50 cent: Blood in de sand for 1 euro. I already had it on ps3 and I wasn't aware of it's BC on the series X. Happy puppy! Thx for the vid Gemma, you're awesome.

I also found mine for cheap. $1 at a pawn shop, although it is disc only. I got it a week before it became backwards compatible, and it is now worth over $60.

But these upscalers are going up in price and can't last forever. I'm very excited for the backwards compatibility. I have a stack of games I hope I can play. It's hard to say what console family I prefer.But up till now I haven't dipped into the next gen. Very excited for Dragons Dogma 2. That is my main reason for the new console.

Gears of War 2 is nearly 15 years old, and this game absolutely smashes it on the Series X/S (I have the S). The upscaling combined with the FPS Boost makes it so amazing to play and look at. I also bought the Xbox 360 version of Far Cry 3 since it's on sale right now for 6 bucks (first time playing it, along with Gears 2 might I add), and it looks pretty good also even though the visuals are certainly dated. This version has FPS boost, while the Classic Edition is capped at 30fps.
It still makes no sense that the Gears 1 enhanced edition was not optimised for series X and S by now though.. it is stuck at 1080p max where the other titles are 4k.
Hi. Has anyone had a problem playing backwards compatible games? When I try on my Series X it says I have to download a profile, then fails saying can't log on to Xbox Live. If anyone else had that happen I'd love to know what you did if you fixed it.
Cool I'm playing through Fear 3, mission 6: the bridge. It's only 8 missions long which is good for someone who wants to get through the rest of their xbox games, so for anyone who is in the mood for a quick light FPS to complete this is it. And Mass effect was the main reason why I fell in love with Xbox 360
Interesting fact: I've never been a big fan of Sonic, as an item collector in games, the idea of losings rings made me feel like a failure, maybe if I practiced it properly today i might feel differently but nothing motivates me to go back to it. However I had a friend back in college round a decade ago who is autistic like me and he was obsessed with Sonic, we studied animation and he made a claymotion of sonic rolling in a ball, he even had things signed by the band Crush 40
I remember mom getting me 50 cent blood on the sand when I was about 9 and I beat that game so many times I still got my original copy as well super fun game plays like gears of war
This might be a hot take but Max Payne 3 is my favourite in the franchise. Had it on the 360, completed it traded it in with some other games, got it again on PS3, completed it again. So much fun
The Orange box with 4k upgrade that was done for Xbox One X is a belter, if you don’t have it, I’m guessing you probably do though, as you have a hefty games collection!
@@TheGebs24 I'm not sure, I sold of my xbox and switched to pc for games pass and pc gaming. It was cracking upgrade though, puts Nintendo's 3D all stars to shame and was basically free!
I wish they would revisit backwards compatibility. They’ve purchased some huge companies and franchises since they cancelled it. Would love Activision games like Crash Bandicoot wrath of cortex and Pitfall in near 4k with instant load times!
Anyone wanting to purchase Oblivion; get the physical GOTY. The DLC are worth it. It's also worth noting you can also play Morrowind which also runs damn good through backwards compatibility.
I like the F.E.A.R. Trilogy. It's a pretty trippy game and looks great optimized on the XSX 50 Cent BOTS is pretty awesome too, I got it for free on Black Friday 2019 when Gamestop did the "Buy2Get1Free" special. Binary Domain was fun to play. It reminded me of Time Crisis, which is why I love it and need to get this! The Max Payne Trilogy is just fucking awesome and I bought Max Payne 1 from a Vendor at an Anime Con, Max Payne 2 at a Retro Game Store that was shutting down and Max Payne 3 on Facebook Marketplace. I just bought Perfect Dark 64 from the Xbox Marketplace, and I own a Physical Copy of Perfect Dark Zero, and I'm looking forward to Perfect Dark 3.
Mate, Oblivion is so underrated. I think it was one of my first purchases on the Xbox 360. I prefer it to Skyrim. My favourite memory of it is when i accidentally stole something from a witch and she kept calling me a "treacherous little thief" and firing projectiles at me haha! Sonic Generations was such an amazing game. Its proof that if the Dreamcast had done well enough to keep the company a float, the Dreamcast 2 would have done very well.

However I just wanted to point out that Max Payne 1 and 2 are not 360 games and were released on the Original Xbox and not 360. It is true about how great they are as far as backwards compatibility goes but i I just wanted to help out people who may be looking for hard copies of them as you won’t find them in a 360 2nd hand game section, Thankfully I still have my originals on disc . I totally agree about Oblivion and Binary a domain though. I am cruelly shocked that Binary Domain was never given a next Gen refresh or a sequel by Sega.
I never liked any of the 2D Sonic games because I don't have the patience to remember the levels in order to fly through them at the speed they're designed to be played at. I thought about buying Sonic Generations because of the high praise it has received but again I keep seeing the 2D levels and it makes not want to get it. I did play Sonic Adventure 1 and loved that though! So maybe I should buy Sonic Adventure 2 instead?
Non-Sonic fan here making my self known as requested. It's not that I think the games are bad necessarily, it's just that the speed of the gameplay hurts my eyes. And I also like to take a slower approach in platformers. I recognise that they are great games and have a large fanbase, so I'm definitely in the minority.
My son does not like Sonic... we just dont know why. We think it might have todo that one of his friends loves it and dont like Mario which my son loves.
I'm from NES, SNES, N64 and PS1 generation. I either owned or played with friends all those 4 systems. My fav. N64 game was Super Mario 64 and PS1 I had many favs. here's few: Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy 8, Crash Team Racing, Gran Turismo 2, Dino Crisis, Resident Evils 2 & 3... Also I used to play Tekken 3 and Syphon Filter 2 both for PS1, with friends.

The fear trilogy were one of my fave IPs. Have you played fear files? The dlc, extraction point and Perseus mandate?
