Many stadiums staffs tolerate cats because the keep the inevitable rodents under control. The amount of food that happens in a stadium makes it impossible to completely eliminate rodents, so cats make a useful deterrent. this big beautiful Tomcat was probably the king of the stadium colony, and got onto the field because someone scared him out of his usual hiding place in the supply rooms.

OK it’s Neither suffering or in danger, unless you’re calling being stress suffering, which is a humongous exaggeration
@@empireyouth5791 being highly highly stressed is suffering, though. Ask someone in the middle of a panic attack if they are suffering. They'll probably say yes. After the panic attack is over they will probably say it didn't feel quite so bad, actually - but in the moment they felt..... not good. A high state of high stress makes your body do unpleasant things like increase heart beat. Having your heart beat at a very rapid pace for an uncomfortably long duration of time is unpleasant, trust me. High stress in this cat's situation was probably caused by fear; the fight or flight reflex. To feel fear is to suffer. Also, we know the cat wasn't in any serious danger --- but the cat had no way of knowing that. I bet it thought something along the lines of "oh fuck; if I don't escape soon these EXTREMELY loud people might harm me. Escape escape escape escape escape!!!!!!!!!" If you can imagine being in the cats shoes then I think you would have been fairly traumatized after you made your four-legged escape. It probably took the cat a long time to reach a state of calm. I don't know how this cat got on to the field but if someone put it there then I hope that fucker gets reincarnated as a cat and has this exact same situation happen to them. Maybe that might teach them some empathy.
@@VeryBlueberrry All right time to explain some stuff, Number one I never claimed it was highly stressed , just that it’s a stress , two completely different things which require different observations so don’t confuse whatever I’m saying, do yeah being if were being technical about it being stress can’t count as suffering but at that point you might as well say existence is purely nothing but suffering since your body is slowly dying every single moment you live, Point being that while being stress is uncomfortable I wouldn’t say being mildly stress counts as suffering, couldn’t be a problem yes should you fix it yes but to call it suffering is nothing more than an exaggeration the first comment and you are trying to throw simply because people aren’t going “ I hate this I hate the fact people are still cheering I hate the fact people are sharing this on social media” (this is an exaggeration but it gets the point across
Also yes people in panic attacks or suffering however the cat is not having a panic attack, now I’m not a professional vet, but I do know for humans signs of panic attacks or screaming extremely hard breeding and irrational behavior, The cat is not hissing screaming or putting up a fuss if anything it’s just heading straight to The exit like an intelligent animal that isn’t having a panic attack, The fact that you’re comparing this animal smartly navigating the field to the exit to someone having a panic attack is extremely highly suspect, because as someone Who is angry at me about animals I would assume you would know what a animal underneath a panic attack behaves like
Also by the way the part we talk about high blood pressure isn’t completely black and white high blood pressure May not cause only fair it can also cause excitement, not saying it’s dead but it feels like to say because the opposite feels like a non sequitur argument
Also if I was in the cat shoes I wouldn’t be necessarily traumatize simply because I’m pretty sure cats are used to humans, you bring up the example of a matching myself surrounded by a bunch of four-legged creature screaming, which is an unfair comparison because cats have gotten used to humans unlike me who hasn’t got used to gigantic four Leged cat like creatures, The appropriate answer would be to imagine myself surrounded by a animal with four legs and is bigger than me, which in that case depends on the animal if it was an hippo which I know are deadly to humans I would be scared but if it was a horse then I wouldn’t be scared in fact I think I would feel safer, because we humans have excellent experiences with horses,, and that’s my point you assume the cat has no knowledge or regulations on humans, sure you could think humans are dangerous and it should run but we don’t even know that for all we know that cat could have been saved by a human and think they are amazing for saving him, but that doesn’t matter since you’re trying to artificially a put emotions into an animal for the sole purpose of trying to make it look like it’s impure agony, even though there are obvious signs start the cat was at the minimum rushing,
I am not stating that the cat is 150% but from what we observed in the video there is no reason to lean to have leak into either side and the only reasons you’ve given me are purely speculation based on human experiences which you didn’t even translate well two a cats perspective,
@@empireyouth5791 First off let me start by saying that the reason I engaged in conversation with you is because I thought your comment was not neccessary. I wanted to let you know that leaving comments like yours is, in my opinion, a waste of time. By leaving your comment you opened yourself up to criticism. Unfortunately for the both of us, I decided to go ahead and offer up some critique...
OP was commenting on how the animal was clearly stressed out to some degree and yet most of the comments don't seem to acknowledge this; instead viewers are making jokes. The point therefore being that we humans are perhaps crude/cruel beings and unsympathetic to the suffering of animals. That's slightly hyperbolic (you could put it in simpler terms), but I, personally, think that is a valid point. Therefore, when you popped in with your "huh? excuse you. to say that stress = suffering is highly preposterous, a truly HUMONGOUS exaggeration!!!!!!" I found that to be..... silly.
I think your reply was pointless because stress IS a form of suffering. That should be obvious to anyone. You basically came in with this "uhh actually..." sort of attitude, which I don't like. I also don't agree with the tone of your original comment. To me it's as if you are trying to downplay the suffering of animals.
Now, I will acknowledge that comparing the psyche of humans and animals is a tricky thing as we will never know what is like to be - and thus think as - a cat. I can understand why you say I am "highly suspect" (even if that is perhaps a bit OTT, lmao) for comparing panic attacks in humans to stress in cats.
I'll tell you why I brought up panic attacks and heart rate; those served as examples for how stress physically effects the body. Physical stress and emotional stress are two different things and while a scientist cannot ask a cat how it feels emotionally, a scientist CAN conduct an experiment on stress and the physical effects it has on a cat.
One of the things I noticed about the cat in the video is that it's mouth is open. It seemed to be panting and perhaps even drooling? To me, those are signs that the animal is in distress. That's based on my observations. However, you have your own observations and conclusions. You say the animal is "smartly" navigating the field to make an exit. I would agree, however assigning attributes like that to the cat are perhaps inappropriate. Just like how you think my conclusions and musings are inappropriate.
You accused me of purely speculating based on human experiences. My rebuttal is "so what????". How else are we supposed to understand animals?? A human lens is the only lens we can view them from. You say I "didn't even translate well [...] from a cat's perspective". Yet neither of us will ever truly know a cat's perspective, so why should my "translation" be brought up? You wanna interview a cat for me and get a more accurate translation?
And that finally brings me back to the beginning; OP's point. BECAUSE we will never truly understand the mind of a cat we should not laugh at and make light of scenes like this. For all we know the animal could have been freaking the FUCK out. Or, maybe, it was only mildly stressed. I think either of those are possible. However, by saying that OP was making a "humongous exaggeration" about stress equaling suffering you were, essentially, poo-poo'ing them for showing empathy. I argue that stress is absolutely a form of suffering and to say otherwise is incorrect. That is all. Bye.
@@VeryBlueberrry Encountered statement number one you can state that about the first comment, infect if you really think about it no comment is necessary underneath this video even your comment, and no matter what comment is spoken it’s open to criticism, so mentioning that it open to me to criticism is irrelevant unless the criticism is valid which I don’t see it as
The second paragraph yes you could see that however humans also laugh at other humans suffering and not just animals, like that one black kid who was crying but made a very unusual noise as he did so, or numerous videos of people doing something epic but feeling, so no isn’t a behavior humans have to particularly animals, in fact it’s common for humans to laugh at others and their own suffering, this doesn’t make them cruel, for one laughing it’s not going to put the cat in more or less danger, or more or less stress, if it did you would have a plant but in this current state it doesn’t affect the cat weather people on the Internet laughs or not, so I don’t consider laughing at the cat being cruel.
Still responding to the second paragraph I don’t see it as a valid plant because I mentioned humans also laugh at other human suffering not just animals isolating and acting like it only happens with animals feels like completely ignoring contacts just to make humans seem more evil then we actually are, I am in humans can be evil but laughter and jokes are not evil especially when there isn’t any ill intent, considering most of the jokes in the comments aren’t even mocking, but either way he still exaggerating the point
Third paragraph, every single reply is pointless in a RUclips comment even the ones that are helping me animal, pacifically stating only my mines shoes that problem isn’t how useful or useful the comments are, but I am not trying to downplay the suffering of animals, turtles have to deal with plastic possibly choking them and that is a serious issue that people should put their first first into caring about, i’m just “downplaying” this one because this isn’t something I believe people should put effort into caring that much,
Fourth paragraph, I don’t necessarily think it’s too far out of the stretch to compare human mentality to cats, I just disagree with the way you did it since she specifically mentioned panic attack and I am not an expert but I assume I kept having a panic attack would be the equivalent of them hissing and doing that instinctual high jump they do when ever they see a pickle. Of course I could image this View could be wrong, but even if it is I don’t see how it cat simply running is the same as a panic attack, from the look of the video it isn’t even running at max speed
fifth paragraph, yes they are separate however they can’t influence each other, being scared or excited can make your blood pressure high and having high blood pressure can make your brain more active, I pointed out that high blood pressure could also be excitement because it’s a valid option, since he only mention it could mean someone is terrified (also I just realized this point was kind of pointless in the first statement of yours since we don’t even know the cats blood pressure)
Six Paragraph, The open mouth could be from tiredNess with the fact it’s running on a field to the exit, dogs are the only one that pant when they’re tired, also I don’t think it’s inherently wrong to throw he will attributes to an animal I just thought the way you did it ignored contacts,
Seventh paragraph: because in your previous comment you compared this to a human being suddenly in an arena filled with gigantic screaming cats, this is an unfair comparison because unlike us humans the cat is used to seeing giant humans but we humans aren’t used to seeing giant cats (and when I say giant I don’t mean Panther size, I mean the size difference between humans and cats being completely reversed, since that’s how I assumed you wanted us to view it as in your original comment) that comparison is unfair because cats know and are more familiar with humans than humans are with cat creatures so big that they make us look like house cats in comparison, hence why I said being surrounded by a bunch of other horses or hippos is a much more fair comparison, because we humans now hippos and horses just like how cats no human . My problem was how you compare them initially not that you were comparing them at all
Eighth paragraph and final thoughts: once again yes it’s technically suffering however so is accidentally turning on the cold water when showering, these suffering are so minor that I feel using the term to describe these inherently makes the term less and less impactful, I don’t want people seeing hearing about animals dealing with plastic or animals with abusive owners or even dare I say animals on the verge of extinction that don’t deserve it to be seeing the same weight as a cat Wickley running to the exit of a football field, it’s the equivalent of saying someone who got a paper cut is dying, yes they are dying but do use the term for them to currently lowers the value of the term and mix it easier for people to shrug it off since it’s used for such a mild things. Used a term for actual animals which are in need, rather than animals just having a bad day. People like the one in the first comment is the reason why people laugh at anything involving helping animals and I don’t want those type of people to make the The whole feel look like an otter job,
Just like that he ties ab on touchdowns this season 😂
