you are actually a genius. you saw the scope for growing a channel from the potato war, grew to 100k subscribers and then started producing extremely high-quality content before people forgot about your channel. Most channels die after a surge in popularity but it takes a level of genius to grasp onto that popularity with high-quality content.
Ok, but seriously. This is amazing! At first I thought it was going to be some sort of script, but you acutally went out and did interviews. You clearly knew the topic well and it felt really imformative. This was a really fun watch, even if I'm not that invested in skyblock. I like these types of videos and I can't wait to see more of what you make! (P.S. Piglical showing up when you mentioned duping lmao)

I originally felt pretty apathetic towards the guy being interviewed, but whenever he talked about paying off his college tuition and his little brother's, my mind felt like it just got punctured with the feels. Everyone has their own life, and usually, they're not all bad. Some just wanna pay off their debts for college :>
i mean yeah. At the end of the day, skyblock is just a game. But the demand for this stuff is real, even if its "black market" its not really illegal, not irl, so its a real business.

At first i thought this was really just another not at all needed skyblock youtuber but this video just proved me wrong. Its a well made document about the “dark side” of the game with scripters and scammers everywhere. For me its a nice throwback to a series that I love called “Darknet Diaries”. This the type of content I and i think many other people would like from a youtuber. Keep it up!

I was one of the earliest irl traders also, I stopped in around December when the coin price was declining dramatically as the competition was growing exponentially, and I had to focus on my study. From September to December coins were selling on average 7-10$ per million. I was nuking sugarcane which to this day, I have not heard anyone doing it. It was making around 2.5 mil an hour to npc, making around 60million coins a day, and I only ran one account as I had a network allowance at my college (lol). I made around 70k usd in a couple months which was incredible. I invested the entire 70k usd at the right time in stocks, right when Covid came around as it was a great opportunity. As of now I have a networth of around $450k at the age of 20 thanks to hypixel... It honestly changed my life. Its great to hear other stories of irl traders and how greatly it also benefited them, I can relate to them so much, great video!

Puppet ` networth isn’t a bank statement buddy, he most likely isn’t lying. I myself profile boosted as I didn’t know how to code between September and February with 20 accounts making 170m a week (on average 3-5k usd a month)..Which is nothing compared to these guys. Made in total 25-30k without much effort, as It only took me about 2 hours a week collecting my clay minions and a hour selling all my I game currency gained for usd.
Stopped as it was not worth my time by early February as coins were around 2$ per mil and they shortly after hit below 1$ due to the influx of many new irl traders

Honestly the interviewed guy does not seem like a bad person, yes he is part of the problem but I mean he did pay for his brother's college and as a Skyblock player I know I should care about it more but he made a good living off of it, and now that it is dying it is honestly fine by me.

There definitely is more going on, people who dont actually trade the coins and just macro/bot to get them still exist. And it's very hard for hypixel to find these people because their flagging system mostly just detects coin transfers. I won't name any names but I know of people who consistently macro and bot and they arent banned.
@@endme6658 Honestly very unsurprising, scripting in that way is likely very hard to detect, especially if it's a 1 man private script. IRL trading is more of a universal issue that you can easily have catch-all detection systems for no matter the script/dupe used for them, so I think it would probably be a waste of resources for them to hunt down players who aren't breaking the EULA and would be extremely hard to detect in the first place.
@@Makoprima yea I'm not saying I blame hypixel, just saying there's definitely stuff still going on that hypixel cant deal with easily.

This is actually amazing. I liked the interview process alot. Until now the general idea i had about IRL traders in skyblock was "Who spends time doing this for a kids game? Are they that sad? Even if there's money involved like come on" but after hearing him talk about just the sheer amount he made combined with why he did it and how he got into skyblock only because of the money and never really played the game, it made sense.
The buyer interwiers were also good. Ofc they were as i expected. Just people sad enough to actualy spend money to cheat on a kids game, but still fun to get that insight!
There aren't any videos out there as good as this and you can tellthe amount of effort that went into it.

The contrast between the length of the interview with the coder and the length of the other interviews felt a little top drastic, but besides that this video was very enjoyable to watch! Selling coins is also against Minecraft’s EULA, but the EULA is one massive joke.
I don't think it is because coins aren't a minecraft item. It's specific to hypixel. Its the reason that hypixel can sell ranks without breaking the EULA. I think. I could be wrong.
Stop using EULA whenever there is money involved in minecraft ._. Hypixel could sell coins without any problem because skyblock doesnt include any pvp circonstances and the EULA restrict the pay to win in pvp gamemodes only
