The turrets in thousand cuts are immune to AoE damage it is a known bug that is ignored for most challenges involving an AoE as only damage. Jolzdude139 and LisGasmask666 have runs that have issues with the turrets that are ignored for the challenge.
That makes me feel better about the run! Worse about my research for it though. Reviewing the footage, it looks like it was specifically the transfusion effect of the grenade that did any actual damage. Those turrets are just... odd. Deathtrap electricity? Nothing. Grenades that can kill the Warrior? Nothing. Starter pistol? Actual damage.
Yeah, melee is weird in general. I probably shouldn't be surprised that they can hit those turrets. I remember years back being shocked hitting a buzzard out of the sky, only to find out that it's not a bug. It's a feature.
If you didn't already know, constructors have a 90% damage resistance to grenades. Hence why they are so hard to kill with the sky rocket, on top of resisting the fire damage.
Dude the BA constructor nuking itself is going to be super fucking helpful for me in the future grenade runs! Great run homie, surprised you didn’t use pull the pin for free skyrockets but I respect the commitment!
Glad I could help grenade based science! Just don't expect quick results. Given your track record, I can't imagine that'll be much of a deterrent. I am still curious as to how well the nukes scale into the next couple playthroughs and whether or not it's affected by slag. Both things that I don't personally plan on testing in the near future. I'd imagine time between shots would mean it'd just regenerate the lost health if you're using it as your _only_ means of bringing it down.
@@SpuddyCube doing this on UVHM would take ALOOOOT of time also considering that constrictors can’t be slagged sadly, on the bright side these guys are one of the few enemies that don’t regen health luckily so i awesome it would just be a big waiting game XD. I love how much I'm learning about the series through the Borderlands community. I've been playing the games for years, and I'm finding out so many things I didn't know. So many slag grenades wasted on constructors over countless playthroughs. I also somehow never noticed their lack of health regen.
@@RoseDingus I have no idea tbh but fps is really weird in bl2, for example claptrap gets stuck on terrain when playing with uncapped fps sometimes and I'm pretty sure there's more fps related bugs
@@himkoto249 S'posed to be something about the game being built and optimized for xb360/ps3 era console specs, so some things that were tied to framerate (or used in calculations or some crap like that) bug the frick out above capped 30fps. And then sometimes you're me, and Jessup bugs out and waits for like, half a minute , even when you ARE on capped 30.
12:29 There is indeed a limit, I think if it gets shut down 8 times it becomes invulnerable to damage and you just need to keep killing, I'm pretty sure it's because UVHM would be almost impossible to complete for like 90% of players if they actually had to properly defend it.
I think I'd probably fit pretty well into the category, even in my casual playthroughs. Up into the op levels, I'm still sitting there with my Infinity/Deliverance like, "this is still viable, yes?" Which, to be fair, they may be. But I haven't even glanced at the meta in years.
damn, this video was actually really enjoyable. It blew my mind when I saw the subscriber count. This has already prob been said, the production level and quality could of easily fooled me into thinking this channel was mega big. RUclips algorithm seriously sleeping on this channel, I hope it blows up because more people deserve to watch this good content
Something funny about the whole “making Sanctuary fly” plan is that it actually makes it easier for the moonshots to hit Sanctuary, because technically they are closer the helios station than before, meaning there’s less travel time from the barrel of the moonshot cannon to Sanctuary.
Absolute best case scenario, they somehow have the ability to perform evasive maneuvers, and everything that isn't nailed down comes tumbling down. Based on how well everything else is built, I can't imagine the general structures would survive such a thing either, and that's before considering what happens to the people up top. If anything, shouldn't they have taken their operation underground?
The international space station is about 200 miles, or 380 km above earth. Pandora is much bigger than earth and Helios is much bigger than the ISS, so the ratio should be about the same. With that in mind getting the ship flying and mobile, moves it
For sure, but that's kind of part of his character arc though At the beginning Jack has absolutely ZERO confidence in you, literally telling you that if you just offed yourself it'd be way easier for all parties involved but as the game progresses, and as you start winning more and more, Jack gets progressively more and more pissed off. And at a certain point, maybe when Sanctuary teleports or when you "Kill" angel, he kinda realizes that maybe he CAN'T kill you. He starts you realize you're a genuine threat far, far too late Confidence was Jack's downfall.
Not sure if anyone's mentioned this yet but if you just let the fast travel beacon die 8 times you get special dialogue where jack basically calls you a weakass and calls off the loader assault cause he thinks you're too weak to be a problem so you skip the rest of the fight.
i can already tell your career is gonns be promising, quality of recording is good, same with audio, your near monotone non monotone voice is honestly very enjoyable (at least to me) because its expressive while also being deadpan, and the rather restrictive rules you have in place sets you apart from others. pro tip: for jessup at sanctuary if you put your FPS at 30 in the settings before you enter the map he will function normally.
Well, thank you very much! I'm glad the audio/video is clean! Also that my voice doesn't get too in the way of relaying thoughts and feelings. Genuinely, I really appreciate the thorough review.

8:45 Protip for Axton grenadiers, the magic missile from Dragon’s Keep is able to passively regenerate grenades as well. Murderlin’s Temple, Badass Wizards, 10% drop chance, slag
True, but getting wizard spawns would require a bit too much punching for the purposes of the run. In theory, I think the Big Boom Blaster would be more within reach than any of the magic grenade mods, despite being Seraph. For a casual run, purple Magic Missile is probably my favorite grenade mod across the board.
I am of the "The Skyrocket is the best grenade evah" camp. Great to see it get some love because so many people just hate it. While it's physics do suck (I think it's intentional due to fireworks blowing off the user's hand/fingers so often), it's just so powerful and the fact it scales is awesome.
As long as it doesn't instantly kill you, it's incredibly powerful! But... genuinely, it's amazing or lethal, and it feels like there's nothing in between. I think the Magic Missile mod from Tina's DLC is my personal favorite for a number of reasons, but pretty much only for versatility. For killing everything in that general direction? The Skyrocket really is fun to use.
@@SpuddyCube 3 month old vid but the trick is, at least in general combat, to count on it killing you. Run into a crowd of 10 enemies and blow yourself and everything around you up with it. A lot more viable I suppose when you can shoot enemies to finish them off on the chance that it doesn't kill everything.
Fun fact: not only can you repair the beacon without any consequences, after a certain amount of breakages (9? it's been a while) it becomes invincible anyways. Also my guess is that the reason he keeps Angel on Pandora has something to do with needing her Siren powers to do things and stuff. I mean the guy literally used his daughter as a psionic battery and had her establish a rapport with and betray people for years so I don't think we really need to debate the question of whether he actually ever really loved her. (Also the idea that Krieg is just calmly standing there while Jack monologues to him during the Lilith abduction is hilarious.)
Fair, but he gets all vengeful about it. I think he's so used to lying about that sort of thing that he has himself fooled, if his whole, "I had to restrain Angel's power" thing is anything to go by. And seriously, what vault hunter is going to just let that scene play out? Facing terrifying circumstances and ludicrous odds is most of what they do, but a normal guy with a gun? Unfathomable.
@SpuddyCube also if you're a Maya player, there's a vault hunter in that cutscene who can instakill Jack with her mind as soon as he appears. She has a GODDAMN phaselock! Btw, I found it funny that Angel tells you not to let Lilith into her chamber. So... is she ok with Maya tho?
@electrichat old comment i know but if i remember right its because angel and and lilith could consume eridum to increase their power temporarily and using it being able to charge the vault key. At that point Maya wasn't able to do that so if she was captured she wouldn't be able to charge the key which is way lilith was told not to go
I didn't know at the time just how broken they are, but finding out a lot more about the game from these runs and the Borderlands community has been fantastic. It's also given me a hatred for those nasty little things, but...
Hmm just in 10 seconds of personal research I found out that the video came out a day ago and the creator has less than 200 subs.. so I hope that clears that up for you fella.
So I feel like axton would have made this easier but at the same time Krieg buffs almost exclusively fire damage so I think that is what your going for( I Haven't yet finished the video so i don;t know why he picked Krieg this is just my assumption) Edit: Am now further into video and understand why krieg was used good choice
It might have been smarter to go into his Hellborn tree, but I figured I wouldn't get much more than a damage boost in exchange for more self damage without a way to mitigate it. When I was originally considering a grenade only run, I thought I could go pick up one of the magic mods from Tina's DLC, but you can't get out of Flamerock Refuge without punching somebody, so that idea died really quickly. This also ignoring the logistics of getting a character through most of the DLC without any real damage output. When I was still doing my research, I was between Krieg, Axton, and Salvador. Sal, purely, because he can throw two for one and heal himself, but again... Only one of them has the grenade recovery that Bloodwing needed. All because of a Douchey Bar Patron...
I don't care what anyone says about it, CSR is my favorite grenade mod, bar none. Absolutely lethal against flesh, fun to use if you aim a bit lower to counter its physics, AND scales to your level! In other words, all hail CSR!
The Contraband Sky Rocket might be called a lot of things but it certainly dealt the finishing blows to Warrior when I last time played through the main story. All hail this grenade.
Wow that was a really good video! Surprised that you have less than 100 subs. Subscribed! (Also don't worry about the two torrents on the way to Bunker, they're bugged)

I’ve seen enough BL challenge videos in my life to where the only thing that’ll keep me engaged in them at this point is good commentary. You sir have the gift of gab! It’s the commentary that sets the challenge apart from others, and you’re doing a great job at it! Surprised I haven’t come across your channel before, or at least I don’t think I have, but I’m watching now!
Thank you! I'm glad to hear it! Realistically the channel hasn't been around for very long. I would love to revisit the series for more runs on the channel down the line, so I hope I can keep you engaged on the next go around.
I've been told it's due to a higher framerate, and you can circumvent it by capping it to thirty per second, but I've been spoiled, and thirty frames looks comparatively choppy.
Oh, same. It boggles the mind what goes through his head as he stares blankly at you. His cold glassy gaze as even if only for a moment, he's the only person with full control over your fate. You may be a walking force of nature, but you can't get into Sanctuary until he says so. In this way, Jessup is one of the most powerful characters on Pandora.
Wow man im surprised you arent bigger like truthfully this is some of the most fun content ive watched in a while i hope i can make content as good as you
Thank you! I'm still surprised to see how much the channel has grown in such a short duration. @@SpuddyCube It's nice to get away from all the bigger creators like Joltz and K6. Don't get me wrong they're amazing content creators but some it's nice to watch a different perspective on things. Keep up the great content.
I've been using the sky rocket a lot, and I find the best angle is a thirty degree arc downwards at the peak of a jump while 100 feet from your target. You see dat right there? Dats a parabola. Only a witch could pull off a parabola of that nature.
I didn't realize until playing through with a fourth character that the CSR grenade leveled up with my character, so at first I wound up selling it early. But once I kept it, then acquired either a Lightning Bolt or Magic Missile grenade mod from the Dragon Keep DLC (replenishes grenade ammo at a rate of 1/30 sec.), I had tons of fun clearing out non-mechanical enemies (and much less fun killing myself when I didn't get the aim right)!
That is... almost exactly my experience with the Skyrocket. I love Magic Missile, but it's so hard to deny the damage output of the skyrocket. When you don't miss... I only realized it scaled when someone I knew eventually pointed it out to me. I used to go pretty far out of my way to pick up any of the spell mods just for the regen to throw more Skyrockets.
Spud, you don't need to fight the enemies at the med vendor on your way to flint. You can jump on the railing and jump onto the roof or jump on the barrel (the one on fire) and jump over. There are explosive resistant shields that you can find that you might be able to scrounge up if you farm for it.You can park the car by the pipeline and just get in it to trigger the obj.
first great video love your video next if you didn't know the two door turrets in the run up to Bunker are immune to some damage types (all splash damage I think) if it was on purpose the word immune would pop up and not nothing at all
The game was originally coded for 60 FPS max. Lots of things break when at higher FPS. That's why the guard at sancuary just stands there doing nothing for so long.
14:33 Maybe the bird as well as that ring of fire thing hit you at the same time? If I'm not mistaken you CAN get "one shot" by enemies using certain guns by Torgue or Maliwan that have splash damage because the bullet damage and splash damage are considered separate hits.
I could be wrong, but I think the health gate when triggered is supposed to consistently give at least a few moments of invulnerability to act as a buffer. Although I definitely have been one shot in the past. Then of course, there's the issue of DoT effects, so I really wasn't making it out of that anyways.
Storywise, you're not missing out on a ton by not having it. It's... okay. The gear and whatnot is pretty nice. If it makes you feel any better, I'm fairly sure that your Gaige/Axton should be stronger than the PC version of the game. For whatever reason, their action skills scale differently on the console/PC versions. Deathtrap starts doing more damage on console at level twenty seven, and Axton's turret does in TVHM.
@@SpuddyCube never done TVHM/UVHM and I paid a good bit for the collection and was told all DLC was on the disks and tbf I just want to play it for myself so I can rate it on my own list of BL DLCs 😅

Forgot the guys name but I have to agree the "Baby Turrets" dont count as a run ender. Their immunity to many different things, such as the Rocket, is accidental and a bug not intended. So they arnt a run killer as you allow exceptions for them since they are a glitch.
My guess would be LilGasmask666. And yeah, those turrets are... odd. I think that I've found that the general consensus around them is that they're a write off for the purpose of challenge runs. It's weird that they were never patched, but I suppose they also don't massively impact most players.
Dude you deserve so many more subs, like all the subs... Genuinely amazing video, now going to go back and watch the rest of them! Keep on making awesome content and I for one will be here for it every time!

I don't tend to think highly of my own work, so it feels great to hear people disagree. I hope to only improve to make stuff that's worth viewing, and seriously. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to watch.
The reason jessup takes forever to move is because you are running a hugher framerate than what the game is made for, at 60 fps the game works as intended, thats why all speedrunners cap their framerates at 60 or lower
12:28 If I remember correctly you can only repair it eight times and after that the game stops making you repair it and just makes you kill the robots.
The Sky Rocket definitely gives me pain every now and then with all the times it either instantly explodes when I throw it too low and it hits the ground or bounce off. But when you get the trajectory down and it perfectly goes where you want it to like a doorway or the perfect elevation where a group of enemies are, it's a satisfying experience. I recently played my NVHM Krieg where I got to A Train To Catch and I decided to respec my skill points for the Bloodlust tree and I found that the skill that gives you increasing melee damage but shortens fuse times to be a terrible combination with the Sky Rocket. Sometimes I get lucky and it doesn't go off within my radius, other times it does. Not sure if you thought about it anytime before or after this video but if was to do this, I would've gone with Axton hands down. Edit: Oh. You don't want to use Axton. Wish you explained why (unless I missed that or something).
I briefly touched on it within the video, but the long and short of it is Blood Bath. It massively increases the chance for enemies to drop grenades when killed via explosion. The game's major fights pretty much universally include enemies that can be defeated for fight for your life. Axton gets a higher stock, and more damage, but Krieg has a theoretical infinite amount of grenades. I almost universally build toward sustainability within my casual playthroughs of games, so especially when one enemy can single handedly end a run if I can't kill it... Krieg just felt like the better option of the two.
Something I learned in this run specifically. I don't think it would scale up to TVHM/UVHM with their health regen though. Maybe? Not something I've tested, either way. I have been notified that constructors don't regenerate health in later playthroughs, so this is _technically_ viable. Incredibly slow though.
oh my god i never knew you would reach this many subscribers. Congrats its been sometime since i have even commented are just kinda existed in da comments i guess its nice being a og subscriber?
I never really expected these to get any attention, so seeing so much is incredible! I'm really grateful to all of the advice and support I've been receiving. And it's good to see you sticking around! I hope you can see improvement, and that you're enjoying the newer works.
@@Ares0679 I do my editing through Vegas Pro. It's clunky, and definitely not user friendly at times, but I like the layout well enough, and it's the only editing software that I really know well how to use. I've heard really good things about Davinci Resolve, but I haven't had the time to try picking up the general workflow. I also use Vegas for my audio editing, but I run the recording of both audio and video through OBS Studio. It's probably not the best for voice work, but the filters are really easy to fiddle with to keep audio cleaning to a minimum.
Happy to hear it! I'm more shocked seeing people enjoying the ride, but I'm glad! I think my take away from the run is that the Skyrocket genuinely is really good, just... Don't use it as your only means of damage. Or in confined spaces. Or near environmental objects. More than anything, don't throw them in Bloodwing's arena.
If anyone doesn’t know, the Contraband Sky Rocket is useless in OP levels because it doesn’t scale to them, so it’s best if you want to make it part of your build that you rely on a lot, to skip OP levels and just use it at lv. 80.
Also, “most dangerous planet”? Isn’t there like an announcement in T-Bone Junction in the original game’s Knoxx DLC that says it’s 9th out of 13 planets in terms of being dangerous?
Of the main series, I've spent the smallest amount of time in the first game, so I can't confirm or deny. I do have to wonder though what the rankings are then, because Pandora would already be a horrendous place to live.
@@SpuddyCube Yeah there’s some sort of announcement that plays in that map, and they basically say “We’ll get to you when we get to you” and it concludes with “Just be glad you’re not on (Promethea, IIRC).”, which seems to me anyway to imply that _it_ might be the most dangerous planet in the Borderlands universe.
It turns out, they really are. I'm not aware of any solution that has been discovered so far within the community, which makes me feel a lot better about not having one of my own.
Honestly, in normal playthroughs, I stick with the skyrocket until Dragon Keep. The damage is too good. But once I get a Magic Missile I swap to that. Slag without swapping weapons is more useful than occasional explosions.
In my casual playthroughs, I tend to enjoy that I can leave it on at the beginning and then just never update that part of my gear. Otherwise, I'll maybe update to something like a transfusion. My favorite absolutely is Magic Missile, but you can't even get past Flamerock Refuge without punching someone, so it's a lot harder to work into a viable challenge run.
enemies can be killed from full health and shields with enough damage in one shot, there's even a BAR challenge for it. my headcanon is that as an NPC, roland follows the same rule. what i want to know is HOW ROLAND EVEN GOT INTO CONTROL CORE. the player is the only one who went through the process of opening the "door that only opens for jack" so you should be the only one who can go through it. if roland just went through some hole in the cliff that he just knew about already, then that should have been the whole plan in the first place, right? my best guess is that the door just doesn't close behind you. that's about what i'd expect out of the designer of the """greatest defense bot ever built"""
Canonically, he climbed up the back side of the location, and yeah... why?! I don't think I ever thought about it. How the heck else did he get in? If there is an alternate to the door, then stealth would likely be the ideal. Ignoring all of the other ethical issues of that location, a single entrance would be a massive fire hazard. You could theoretically skip the death wall, the Bunker, and the password by just... going in through the back though.
The game was made for 30 fps consoles so it has issues when above that so some issues can be fixed by lowering yourself to 30 fps The Overlook beacon can be broken 9ish times then it is unbreakable
That makes sense. It's been a while since I fired up a console version of the game, but I don't recall there being a big difference in bugs, mostly just a higher framerate. Rose tinted glasses, I suppose. I'll have to keep it in mind for any future runs. I don't think I'd want to run the whole game like that, even if only for the viewing experience, but troubleshooting options are good to have.
Thank you! The one that got me the most was the head bounces. By all counts, the two damage probably wouldn't matter, but once it's done, there's no way that I can prove that it _didn't_ matter. The number of times I had to reset my progress while farming out experience... Didn't happen that often during normal combat, at least.
Yeah, I've played this game for years across more characters than I can remember. And I never noticed how bad _those specific turrets are_ because I'm evidently very observant.
That's... hilarious. I knew Jack eventually gives a voice line making fun of the player if it breaks a certain number of times, but I didn't know it stops being breakable.
Also if you guys didn’t know if you spawn at the Zafords bar right down the path you can just save quit 8 times and it’ll auto complete for you skipping all of the mobs and voice lines etc EDIT props to joltzdude139 I found out from him
It's weird that you had trouble with bloodwing phases past the first, because I often use the skyrocket on those phases as she transitions and they usually two-shot the phase. It doesn't work on the first one obviously, but once I get through that the fight is basically over.
Honestly, I'm not sure how or why it seemed like it was doing so little. Especially given the level difference. My clearest memories of the fight were mostly all centered around getting by the first phase, and then getting killed really quickly. The only thing I can really think of is maybe my technique was off, and most of the blast was missing? In which case, the issue was definitely more on my side than anything else, because it certainly wasn't a level issue.
@@SpuddyCube Yeah the skyrocket is so inconsistent sometimes. I find the best approach is to throw it while she transforms so it hits her at the tail end of the animation. Otherwise she can fly out of the explosion before it finishes. Still, we all appreciate you suffering for our benefit! :D
There is one in a sense, but it changes every time, and is generally a jumping off point for explaining the run itself. I'm not really sure how I'd do a more traditional intro.
I could be wrong, but I think fire immunity only stops the DoT. I don't have a ton of experience with said shields, because despite how many hours I have in it, they really don't seem to drop often for me.
That I can recall, I've only ever had it happen in this run, and my first time playing it ever. I don't have an excuse for the first time, except that it was several years ago. Not quite the thing I had hoped to answer, but I'm glad I could teach you something.

Glad to hear that it was good, and that you took the time to watch! I'm still trying to process just how warm the reception has been for the run. It means a lot to see people enjoying it.
I think of all the "Non Glitch" related issues I have with Borderlands 2, its the starting items I hate the most. I hate the contraband Sky Rocket (and the golden guns to a significantly much lesser extent, it would be better if each character got a different golden gun), and its a prime example of why scaling up your gear with your level should NEVER be a feature in any borderlands game. Its literally TOO GOOD, theres not a single fight for the first 15 levels that the Sky Rocket cant just instantly nuke, and it kinda makes every playthrough samey and boring, yeah I KNOW you can sell it, but the conceit is already there and it shouldn't be on the player to impose self restrictions to properly balance the video game.
Yeah, it's not something I'm ever proud to see happen. Glad I could teach a fellow veteran of the series something, even if it's something of the sort. I have played the games for a really long time, but experience does not equal skill.

"the ability to restock grenades is just too powerful" this is the mantra of the moze main. Soooo many explosions
bro Moze is just pure Dopamine for me
"What if you just never run out of bullets and also ALL the Explosions?"
@dj-hyrul3654 cyberpunk also has a wonderful build to do just that with grenade launcher arms. Just unending explosions
Thank you! That means a lot! I'm glad to hear that it's polished enough to come across that way.
With that in mind getting the ship flying and mobile, moves it
I mean,if you fly to the other side of the planet the moonshot cannon can't hit you. Besides it doesn't seem to be good at shooting moving targets.
Honestly jacks biggest mistake in the game is deadass just that, not throwing money at the problem (the player) until its solved (dead)
For sure, but that's kind of part of his character arc though
At the beginning Jack has absolutely ZERO confidence in you, literally telling you that if you just offed yourself it'd be way easier for all parties involved
but as the game progresses, and as you start winning more and more, Jack gets progressively more and more pissed off. And at a certain point, maybe when Sanctuary teleports or when you "Kill" angel, he kinda realizes that maybe he CAN'T kill you. He starts you realize you're a genuine threat far, far too late
Confidence was Jack's downfall.
the bunker may have been his coolest defense robot he ever built, but the greatest one has to be Loader Bot from tales from the borderlands.
I would argue that the Bunker doesn't land high on most lists. Loader Bot though... Loader Bot is amazing. Absolutely under appreciated.
Not sure if anyone's mentioned this yet but if you just let the fast travel beacon die 8 times you get special dialogue where jack basically calls you a weakass and calls off the loader assault cause he thinks you're too weak to be a problem so you skip the rest of the fight.
Yeah... I'm concerned by how much I may need to use that to my advantage in the future.
And it becomes invincible after 7 so you gotta savequit to trigger the line
i can already tell your career is gonns be promising, quality of recording is good, same with audio, your near monotone non monotone voice is honestly very enjoyable (at least to me) because its expressive while also being deadpan, and the rather restrictive rules you have in place sets you apart from others.
pro tip: for jessup at sanctuary if you put your FPS at 30 in the settings before you enter the map he will function normally.
Well, thank you very much! I'm glad the audio/video is clean! Also that my voice doesn't get too in the way of relaying thoughts and feelings. Genuinely, I really appreciate the thorough review.
@@SpuddyCube I commented after seeing this. Can't believe you only have 432 Subs, Don't worry though You've got the skills and voice just like Joltz and Ki11er Six. You're gonna go far in this community for sure!!!!!!!
At that point Maya wasn't able to do that so if she was captured she wouldn't be able to charge the key which is way lilith was told not to go
I was wondering how the baby turrets would be handled, glad you didnt consider them a run killer
I didn't know at the time just how broken they are, but finding out a lot more about the game from these runs and the Borderlands community has been fantastic. It's also given me a hatred for those nasty little things, but...
18:10 holy shit dude this part killed me 💀
Fr though. Best video i've seen all week. you have a new sub now!
What a cool channel. Fun run, commentated super well, and with a really sweet little outro.
How does this video not have a lot more views, it was funny as hell. Keep it up bro!
Hmm just in 10 seconds of personal research I found out that the video came out a day ago and the creator has less than 200 subs.. so I hope that clears that up for you fella.
@@danieldickinson5853 I realized that when I posted the comment 💀. But all is good
So I feel like axton would have made this easier but at the same time Krieg buffs almost exclusively fire damage so I think that is what your going for( I Haven't yet finished the video so i don;t know why he picked Krieg this is just my assumption)
Edit: Am now further into video and understand why krieg was used good choice
I love the fact that the road to the bunker and the room after the bunker are harder than the actual boss fights.

This was a great first splash into your content. Well done!
Honestly never thought it would be done just cause of how annoying it is yet here you are and with banger video quality can’t wait for more vids
Wow that was a really good video! Surprised that you have less than 100 subs. Subscribed! (Also don't worry about the two torrents on the way to Bunker, they're bugged)
I really appreciate it! I'm still surprised that anyone's subscribed at all. Glad folks are here, just didn't expect anyone to actually watch these. Super happy to see people enjoy though!

Holy crap I come across this godsend of a channel and... well let's be honest your narration is s teir
6:00 GOOD OLE PRIVATE JESSUP. Gotta love him. Taking 30 seconds to open the gate EVERYTIME.
I've been told it's due to a higher framerate, and you can circumvent it by capping it to thirty per second, but I've been spoiled, and thirty frames looks comparatively choppy.
@@SpuddyCube I just find it funny. I rarely even care. Just good for a chuckle as he just... stands there.,v
@SpuddyCube Well made point. He's the only hurdle you cannot force. An immovable object to your unstoppable force. A true force of nature

I knew Borderlands had a big community, but I didn't think it was still so healthy, nor did I think I had any chance of catching the eye of it. A pleasant surprise to say the least. The series is near and dear to my heart, so seeing the video received so well is just... It's awesome. Thank you.

The council finds your video pleasing. We shall watch your career with great interest. You have great promise our challenge runner
Spud, you don't need to fight the enemies at the med vendor on your way to flint. You can jump on the railing and jump onto the roof or jump on the barrel (the one on fire) and jump over. There are explosive resistant shields that you can find that you might be able to scrounge up if you farm for it.You can park the car by the pipeline and just get in it to trigger the obj.
first great video love your video
next if you didn't know the two door turrets in the run up to Bunker are immune to some damage types (all splash damage I think) if it was on purpose the word immune would pop up and not nothing at all
Yeah, they're... problematic for these sorts of runs. Weirdly enough, they can be broken with transfusion grenades. They're really inconsistent.
If you didn't know the beacon can be repaired like 8 times i think. if it dies again you repair it and it becomes invincible.
Name a duo more iconic than bl2 challenge runs and the gulag
The game was originally coded for 60 FPS max. Lots of things break when at higher FPS. That's why the guard at sancuary just stands there doing nothing for so long.
30 fps*
it was an xbox 360/ps3 port
14:33 Maybe the bird as well as that ring of fire thing hit you at the same time? If I'm not mistaken you CAN get "one shot" by enemies using certain guns by Torgue or Maliwan that have splash damage because the bullet damage and splash damage are considered separate hits.
I could be wrong, but I think the health gate when triggered is supposed to consistently give at least a few moments of invulnerability to act as a buffer. Although I definitely have been one shot in the past. Then of course, there's the issue of DoT effects, so I really wasn't making it out of that anyways.
Oof I like the concept of firework grenade but in my many playthroughs it's caused problems...
Also never got to play commander Lilith DLC [only have Xbox 360 collection of BL games] 😐

I know this video is old asf but at 4:00 when you say you have to kill those enemies, you can actually jump on the barrel in the corner, then jump over that crate to skip having to kill those guys and spawn that bad ahh guy
The barrel is faster, but there's also some weird geometry that you can use next to it that saves some health if you can make the jump.

Love this run, “Can you beat Borderlands 2, but it’s the 4th of July”
i’ve never thought to completely unequip so it’s a little bizarre seeing Borderlands without a gun in the corner of the screen lol
I've been looking for this one. Thank you
Trust me you're not the only one. I've also always been confused about what happens to your player character in the Borderlands cutscenes
I really LOVED this video
Thank you! I'm glad to hear it! I love this game, and this run actually taught me some things about it that I never knew before, which is always an odd experience. I've lost track of how many times I've run through casually.
Thank you so much! Warms my heart to hear. I'm still shocked by/grateful for the folks who have subscribed as is. I don't tend to think highly of my own work, so it feels great to hear people disagree.
I hope to only improve to make stuff that's worth viewing, and seriously. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to watch.
I love this grenade so much
The reason jessup takes forever to move is because you are running a hugher framerate than what the game is made for, at 60 fps the game works as intended, thats why all speedrunners cap their framerates at 60 or lower
12:28 If I remember correctly you can only repair it eight times and after that the game stops making you repair it and just makes you kill the robots.
You can also skip killing the robots by save/quitting like 8 times or something as well.
I never knew constructors can kill themself LOL
@@SpuddyCube i wanna know what kind of editing software do you use
@@Ares0679 I do my editing through Vegas Pro. It's clunky, and definitely not user friendly at times, but I like the layout well enough, and it's the only editing software that I really know well how to use. I've heard really good things about Davinci Resolve, but I haven't had the time to try picking up the general workflow.
I also use Vegas for my audio editing, but I run the recording of both audio and video through OBS Studio. It's probably not the best for voice work, but the filters are really easy to fiddle with to keep audio cleaning to a minimum.
Wow I’m surprised your channel isnt bigger this was an amazing video and I would’ve gone insane trying to do this
Happy to hear it!
Those turrets are made of spaghetti. Extra sauce.
From what I remember seeing on other challenge runs, those miniturrets are super wierd.
It turns out, they really are. I'm not aware of any solution that has been discovered so far within the community, which makes me feel a lot better about not having one of my own.
Hope your sub count blows up rapidly bc of this video 👍👍
The game was made for 30 fps consoles so it has issues when above that so some issues can be fixed by lowering yourself to 30 fps
The Overlook beacon can be broken 9ish times then it is unbreakable
That makes sense. It's been a while since I fired up a console version of the game, but I don't recall there being a big difference in bugs, mostly just a higher framerate. Rose tinted glasses, I suppose. I'll have to keep it in mind for any future runs. I don't think I'd want to run the whole game like that, even if only for the viewing experience, but troubleshooting options are good to have.
I only use the skyrocket, only time i dont is to test out another one or if i needed a specific element, but skyrocket is the bestttttt ❤
great video man :) really liked the restrictive rules in comparison to others
Thank you! The one that got me the most was the head bounces. By all counts, the two damage probably wouldn't matter, but once it's done, there's no way that I can prove that it _didn't_ matter. The number of times I had to reset my progress while farming out experience... Didn't happen that often during normal combat, at least.
As soon as I seen the title I knew he wasn't gonna be able to kill the baby turrets
Yeah, I've played this game for years across more characters than I can remember. And I never noticed how bad _those specific turrets are_ because I'm evidently very observant.
Don't know if anyone else said this but you can break the pipe just driving the car next to the stairs. It has a big hit box
I'll have to mess around with it in my next playthrough. This game's hitboxes are so weird. Love it to death, but they're not the best.
Amazing video.
The beacon can be repaired a maximum of 8 times in overlook... afterwards it becomes invulnerable
That's... hilarious. I knew Jack eventually gives a voice line making fun of the player if it breaks a certain number of times, but I didn't know it stops being breakable.
Also if you guys didn’t know if you spawn at the Zafords bar right down the path you can just save quit 8 times and it’ll auto complete for you skipping all of the mobs and voice lines etc EDIT props to joltzdude139 I found out from him
You know, this would be a fun challenge in bl3 with moze
I love this grenade mod, so this run rules
I always thought about trying this run!
It's mostly pretty fun! Except for the sinking feeling of immediate regret when you see it coming back toward you.
i can’t tell you how many times i rewound the video to try and find the intro lol
There is one in a sense, but it changes every time, and is generally a jumping off point for explaining the run itself. I'm not really sure how I'd do a more traditional intro.
i just found this channel in my recommended videos and i'm loving the vids keep up the amazing work! i'll be binging these vids
" im sure theyre fine".....lmao
Sick videos, i imagine these videos take alot of effort and time to produce. I hope this channel blows up!
Thank you! It varies based on the game, but it certainly is a time investment in even the shortest runs. They're a lot of fun to produce though!
I think if you break the beacon 9 times it gets a bubble shield that can break!
You know, looking back on this video, you probably should have used a shield that blocked explosions or fire damage specifically.
I could be wrong, but I think fire immunity only stops the DoT. I don't have a ton of experience with said shields, because despite how many hours I have in it, they really don't seem to drop often for me.
I feel like I just watched Micheal cera play borderlands
I’ve used that grenade for so long
I have over 8k hours on this Game... and I didnt know the Bot who got Roland will move when you dont save him intime... holy hell
That I can recall, I've only ever had it happen in this run, and my first time playing it ever. I don't have an excuse for the first time, except that it was several years ago. Not quite the thing I had hoped to answer, but I'm glad I could teach you something.
Wow , the quality of this video is absolutely outstanding I rubbed my eyes after to see if 500 subs was correct I thought it couldn’t be.
Glad RUclips recommended me this
Glad to hear that it was good, and that you took the time to watch! I'm still trying to process just how warm the reception has been for the run. It means a lot to see people enjoying it.
12:30 there is a limit. after it dies 8 times it becomes immortal.
If Jesse Eisenberg chose to play video game for a living
I've seen that comparison a couple of times now, and I'm not familiar with his work, but I'll take it as a compliment.
I'm surprised you didnt play salvador just for the skill that lets him throw 2 grenades while gunzerking
Good job stay on the grind I got my og ticket I can see you hitting 100k one day
I'm still trying to wrap my head around ten people wanting to come along, but I appreciate your optimism/support!
Definitely subscribed!
I don't even need to watch the video because you absolutely can
Don't feel guilty those turrets are broken so you did beat borderlands 2 with only the contraband skyrocket
After 10 years I just casually discovered you can fail to save Roland at the ramparts, lol
Yeah, it's not something I'm ever proud to see happen. Glad I could teach a fellow veteran of the series something, even if it's something of the sort. I have played the games for a really long time, but experience does not equal skill.
I have only failed to save Roland at the rampart as I cannot find a good enough shock and corrosive weapon
@@Scottcrew2010 all you really need is a lascaux or a unkempt harold
