The most competitive and meta tank in the game that you see taken in the most competitive lists is by far the “dakka Stuart” used by British/Soviets/USA. For Germany it is the M15/42 Polizei tank.
Hell yeah, you got it
As a Brits player, the Stuart and the Matilda are my recommended starter tanks. It helps you get into the mindset that tanks exist to kill off infantry, and every turn you spend shooting at an enemy tank and probably missing is a turn you're not making your points back. Tank duels have never seemed to work out for me. Bazooka equivalents and AT carriages are the most effective way of killing off or zoning out tanks in my experience, or simply firing a lot of HE at them and pinning them into oblivion. Heavy mortars are my go to solution for making my enemy who decided to bring a Panzer 4 sweat.
Great video! I’ve got two things to add:
1. The Italian Carro Armato M13/40 can be built as an M14/41 (which removes the “slow” rule) or can be ran as an M15/42 which removes “slow”, “vulnerable” and adds a second coaxial MMG! Truly a great beginner tank. The Warlord kit can be built as an M14/41 and since the M15/42 is so similar and is built on the same chassis it’s totally fine to proxy it.
2. Rubicon models makes a great Crusader tank kit that can be built in several different ways letting you run it as a regular tank, a howitzer tank or a double auto cannon AA tank and has enough parts to built two turrets in the same kit.
Obviously the stugg is Germany’s top
Also makes a lot of sense if you theme your force around an infantry division, as they operated in independent battalions attached to all sort of formations most of the time.

I'm waiting for that day Tim's gonna tell us about the MINOR factions. Tho the one I'm thinking about shouldn't be considered MINOR.
Type 97 Chi - Ha, Lets Go!!!!!!!!!!!! BANZAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
For France i think that eigther the S35 or the Amc35
The amc35 is just a normal ligth tank cheap but you dont get the one man turret rule or the slow rule so it is the most average ligth tank for the french
The s35 is more of a introduction to the french special rule, the one man turret, but in comparison to the others it has a frontal armor of a medium tank to it is a medium with a ligth at but cheaper, it doesnt have rules like slow or armored all around but its both iconic and a good introduction for the crap rule.
The char C1 its expensive, 210 points due to all the weapons while having the one man turret rule its uff.
R35/39 h35/39 are just ligths, one has slow and armored all around also introduces one of the things of the faction, the slow ligth at gun
R17 yep this thing is basically cheap as hell but has a plethora of negative traits one man turret, slow at gun (of a hmg) and pitifully slow
I like the Char B1, which is ridiculous. It's slow, got the one man turret rule, only a light AT gun and howitzer, and costs a massive 245 points. But it's in plastic and is going to be in the new starter army.
It always seems to overperform in my local meta, it's only a light AT gun, howitzer, and MMG but it's three sources of firepower and my opponent has two medium howitzers to worry about. One of those looks really bad on paper but can suprise you units.
Ironically warlord never realise that it didnt had a hull mounted machine gun but only a coaxial one
and they never corrected it despite the french having 3 books about the early war@@dannyhalas9408
I take and use a M-5 Stuart for my Americans due to the fact it is a micro Panther where all the shots to the front has to get through a medium tank damage value of 9. for 195 points veteran and then add 10 more points for Recce ability.
Think the semovente 75 is a good starter tank for the Italian players as well teaches the player not to rush in and be wary of side shots whilst also having better HE shells and being rewarded with a medium AT gun which is something the Italians lack
Sir, MG, sir, could it be that the title is wrong?
Got that fixed. Thank you! :)
Would love to hear your thoughts on the choice for the French :)
One thing I can say about the panzer 3 is that it’s an awful model kit. Lots of small fiddly bits, and the shurzen side skirts aren’t fun to put in considering the required drilling into the body of the model.
I've got the old British army starter box I keep debating on selling it but I might just paint it and try get a game in. Think it has a Cromwell in the box?
I’m new and got my first tank today for US. M10 Wolverine. Looked pretty cool, no idea what it does.
It's fast and thin skinned, but has a solid gun.
Panzer 4!
Not my favorite unit, I like Jeeps. But still fun!
Banzai !!!

Save yourself the time. The recommendation is the generic medium tank for the country.
