Alpine 7273L Car Stereo - Part 2 - Testing the tape mechanism in Auto-Reverse for 24 hours continuously (and a 2+ hour time lapse in 14 seconds) - testing the DIN output as the customer requested. Getting it ready to ship back to my customer.

It's nice to see an alpine working, not bad for the era.
Some decks are a bloody pain, the Philips car radios/tape deck had a habit of breaking the drive belt, it went around two flywheels but the flywheels were really cheap and nasty, a plastic ring was moulded to the flywheels for the belt drive to work.
They also had silly torque screws and in that era i didnt have money for special drivers.

Very distorted audio this video. For these kinds of issues an old answering machine OGM cassette, with only 5 minutes of tape on it, would work, or a mangled tape that you cut down to 5 minutes or so and splice together.
