Right there with ya buddy. I was just curious if he did this internally. In America, they’re nearly all 5v. Sold as Bluetooth recievers, with the micro USB on one end for the power, and a 3.5mm headphone socket on the other. Right there, most quit once because brain can’t process it. The rest of us run a power wire from someplace in the device thats 12v-15v, along with a wire to ground, connect that to a cigarette lighter usb Charger, then from the charger to the Reciever use a little micro usb cable. Then an auxiliary cable from the 3.5mm socket, cut the other end off, and solder/wrap/crimp the L & R Audio wires to the inputs of the device. Tuck it all out of the way and seal her up. Or let her dangle like most people. My vintage 1970 HK Reciever has Bluetooth now and trips people out. Like it’s magic. *sigh*
Darieee what do you think can we connect bt on back side where is for changer place. R-in and L-in on back side of radio becouse my mechanic of cd is brocken? Or we cant use that input?
I had to take the time to say you did a quality job on that man very good work, you heat shrinked every wire, you didn’t hot glue the module in you took the time to drill holes and screw it in, you twisted the wires so they weren’t just floating wires, i seen some taped down to the board too! Very quality work man

There's a practical argument to make for adding Bluetooth if the radio of yours is a favorite or plays cassettes, you don't have the deep pockets to buy it all that music digitally or you don't have the time to rip them to mp3, ogg-vorbis or whatever your favorite digital format is. There is also the idea of experimenting, learning and having fun with what you're doing unconcerned about whether the electronic project is practical or not.
To have this man as a teacher i would not pass the class. But I would assume that would have been his goal. What a real difficult person to listen to for a second his way of communicating is unusual to our language I think.
And for future references this world is big enough for the both of us to keep distance no need in having hateful intent this world is big but time is not that long.
A 55Ah battery drained with 50mA is empty after 46 days, not 114 years. And you shouldn't completely drain a car battery anyway. So let's say we can safely take out 30Ah, and the car electrical system also drains 50mA, then we're already down to 12,5 days, less than two weeks...
Want to incorporate into my neighbors 74 corvette which has the original radio. How or can this CSR8645 BT unit be added to this radio (only unit) by independently switching the BT unit on/off (external switch) and connect somewhere in the audio circuit to pick up the amplified speakers? Where can I find internal schematic of this Delco radio? May be an old video but I fully understand the the technique used. Thought it was great.
Hi buddy. I have an old tape recorder. Same brand. There is only CD, the radio is playing. We are also the same chip holder. I could not find the audio outputs for this card. What should I do?
I live in Silicon Valley and as a child worked as a car stereo installer. Blaupunkt was the good stuff back then. I assume it's still very good. lol Just brought back some memories.
They're quite 'meh' these days .. this radio is okay quality wise, but after 5 years the buttons and encoder don't feel too good .. They make decent stuff for a reasonable price though
dimitris kaloupis I do not own a Porsche because I am rich. I own my Porsche because I am cheap....lol. But I enjoy learning and testing new things out. The Bluetooth modules cost up to 500. For that price, I rather purchase a new stereo. Plus, I had my car broken in before. So, I would like to keep it look stock.
if u have problems with the voltage regualtor to work, solder a 100nf capaitor close to input and output, many cheap alternatives to lm7805 dont work well without these caps
My Blaupunkt had a setting called 'Aux Mode On/Off' or called similar like this and I could so select the Aux in on the back with the source selector button.
Is it possible to install BT by removing the CD mechanism and of course circuit and by inserting BT Audio R +L to audio switching/audio processor chip ? I'm trying this in Kenwood KDS MP-333V car stereo. I've already installed it by disabling AM radio and inserting BT audio R+L combined, to the tuner input of the radio chip. For switching FM and BT audio I've used spdt relay.
My AUX port was damaged since last 2 years. Yesterday I visited a local repair centre and the guy suggested to install BT module in addition to AUX repair. He added BT module on my Nippon stereo some what in same way. I am very happy to see BT working on my 12 year old car in just 12 USD (850 INR)
Hello, I do have an Kebidu Bluethoth, mp3, USB player. I have a player that I want to connect to the Blaupunkt radio CD. I would like to remove the CD drive and continue to use the radio and mp3 module. I don't know where I have to connect the ACC related to the mp3 module so that I can switch from the radio mode to the so-called CD mode but the mp3 module works. I assume that the audio signal coming out of the mp3 module must be connected exactly as shown in the video. Or do I probably need to connect to other pins?
nice video! Im wondering if you can help me with my issue. I had purchased a panasonic cq vx5500 head unit off ebay and was told there was a bluetooth module in the Aux input. after installing the head unit, i attempt to connect to the bluetooth, however the signal drops and i have to reconnect again. what might cause this issue? i dont know if its related but it coincidentally happens when i turn the volume up. thats where it happens the most
This is perfect because buying a unit is a good solution but it really does not fit the style of the rest of the car. This keeps that same look but with an upgrade.
Thanks for the video and keep up the good work for the haters I have old car I am restoring right now it's already have aftermarket headunit I replaced it for the original old stereo and I want bluetooth feature to be in it, so this video helped me
Not easy to open with a lot off different Allen Key screws and something I wouldn't want to do, can you not get the SPDIF data out from the Bluetooth module and feed that to the SPDIF input on the CD processing chip.
Even if you can (which you should be able to), there's huge chances it doesn't have an i2s or spdif input, and near unity chances you won't be able to select that input
You could buy a Radio Adapter - buying a non-bluetooth one should help with getting as clean a radio signal as possible. Here's some on amazon amzn.to/2snA9ot
man, just call them on thursday, they got that call in request hour, you could request "Emit Silence" they will probably play it for you as long as it's not got cussing in it
I plan to do this with my radio as well. It’s my understanding that the Bluetooth connection is a one-and-done connection. As in, if my friend wanted to pair their phone while I drive them around, I’d have to unhook the radio and then hook it back up and have my friends phone connect to the Bluetooth. Does anybody know if adding a button or switch to the power of the Bluetooth module/board would properly reset the Bluetooth connection? I tried reaching out to a few companies in particular but haven’t heard back
Some people just like doing this stuff, like me. I'm in for such a project. Specially since it's not one of those dumb "discard your CD drive, NO ONE USEZ ITT" stuff, people who knows how to do this kind of stuff are in for a weekend project. This is the kind response, I could also just say "GIT GUD" too.
Hey I’ve got an interesting question, my radio has a six disc stacker in the boot, it’s a 1997 Range Rover, do you think this would still work for that? I’m thinking either hacking in to the CD or the Cassette lines but the cassette needs to run still which makes nasty noises
I hate it when people don't know how to provide positive constructive criticism. Use the sandwich technique: Good, constructive, good. E.G I'm glad you provided this video with constructive criticism and insight to what the audience would appreciate from the poster. Take a communications course. I'm sure you will improve in this area if you considered the advice I supplied.
Great video, but a fair amount of work, the reason people are saying just buy a new unit is because a new unit does Everything & this is more work than buying a new stereo & fitting it.
Some folks enjoy to make little things with their own hands no matter if that thing cost a penny, others enjoy going to the store to buy the same thing and then continuing with their boring life.
I installed a cheap Chinese car play with with bluetooth but caused TPMS errors. Do you know what caused TPMS error? Can it be the bluetooth module? They have different bandwidth, don't they?
I have a Chevrolet stereo from a cobalt. It has an aux port so I’m just going to output to that. I’m having a hard time finding a 12v source from within the stereo itself.
Check for a 5V supply, and get a 5V isolated CSRA64215 module Do watch out though, if you pull the 40mA necessary from some GPIO pin that's outputting 5V .. you can easily fuck the entire radio up
Say you want to hijack the CD Changer functionality of an OEM stereo. However, the CD Changer itself is long gone... if there's no CD in the changer, the radio produces an Error. Any idea what the method would be to trick the stereo into thinking it has a CD? i.e. skip the silent CD portion
I think burning some fake "song" you know... like just some complete silence for 24 hours in the form of MP3 and then burning it to the CD should do the job.
newer bluetooth modules have a jumper on the back to increase the gain on the headphone amp they have on board maybe you have one of those and can bridge that across for more punch
nice soldering iron , one of the best on the market and one of the last quality products 100% made in Romania. I think this model is from 1970 and still rocks on!
Sure does - bought myself 2 just in case the company making them does get stolen away too Does need a dimmer though, otherwise, you'll eat away your copper in a few hours
mm, nah - it's held in with 2 screws ... and the cd module, which is the other metallic component that could mode, is also held in with screws in at least 3 points also - the general public isn't allowed in there so - should be fine
Darieee But what does the way it's mounted, have to do with electric safety? I'm no expert on this kinda stuff, so I'm confused. But thanks for the reply, anyway. #eurozone (As in Europe, not the EU thing in Brussels. 😆) Oh, nevermind, now I see. I went back to the video, and went fullscreen. There are some kinda spacer on the screws themself. Nice job, and just how I would like it too. Very professionally done. 👍
I would like to do that with a Skoda Symphony head unit, but instead of Bluetooth only a simple AUX cable. The problem is that I can't figure out where I could solder my wires. Could you assist me if I will send you some pictures or the number of the chips on the board?
Maybe I missed it in the vid... silent CD? So, you have to put in a blank CD? Also, how do you pair to this device with no usable interface on the radio? How would the Bluetooth know you are attempting to cast to it?
Yeah, a blank cd with a silent track on it At powerup the bt adapter attempts to connect to the last paired device - if that fails, it becomes discoverable, then you can pair to it Volume on its end in maximum by default, so max on the phone is the max it can put out into the radio
Do you know if it’s possible to add AUX function on a radio when if you press on “source” button the radio slide all source connected same as CD player, cd changer, md changer, and more ? Because on my instructions manual of my Honda car stereo radio it’s mentioned a capability of 5 unit connected maximum in serial on the cd changer’s plug, do you know if I add this module and connect the “ply” pin of the bk8000l it’s possible to my car stereo switch and detect this module for a CD player maybe ?
I have a Pioneer DEH-P670MP. It has an Aux capable plug but I'm having a really hard time finding any schematics to understand where I need to start soldering to :X
@@Darieee Thank you for the fast reply!!! That's what I was trying to do before. but I can't find where/how the aux works. It's a third party plug that gets attached to the back of the unit. Taking the unit apart and trying to trace backwards from the actual port is quite difficult. There appears to be a "rear RCA" which might work for what I need it for however I don't know how to enable that through the header's UI. I found a datasheet for one of the chips but I don't see any inputs so I assume it may be the Tuner.
Yeah, the way the cookie crumbles Go ahead and watch ffcossag 's youtube channel, he does a lot of audio work, and slowly you'll get a feel for what to look fir
Thnx for the video. I also have a bluetooth chip like this, but without the adaptor plate, only the blue chip and im trying to figure out how to put it on an amplifier, without dc converters. Amplifier is running at 29vdc. Do you think i can connect it on the legs of an LED? Its a 3.3V version
i was thinking of doing the same thing however my radio has a 6 cd changer output .you think i would have to have a blank cd as well. im thinking of just tapping into the wires for the ccd changers input to stereo
if you check the datasheet, you'll see that those *isolating* dc-dc converters are very sensitive for their input ... cars will easily reach 14.5 which .. technically will blow those up (maybe they don't but - yhea, no guarantees off the beaten path)
darieee thanks I understand now. I’m moving onto my next speaker issue which is that my tiny Bluetooth speaker is getting gsm buzz. My understanding from google is I need better shielded speaker wire or a ferrite core but know next to nothing about the issue.
if you can, and you usually can, do go with a 'differential' signal check my channel for differential - I have some videos on this topic (and also my margarine box speaker has this done and explained)
I'm working on it ... all buttons are multiplexed - so I'd need a microcontroller to interface the two - and /a metric shit-ton of time/ to debug it and make sure it will work perfectly .. which is kind of the minimum you'd want for a NEXT button
Hi Darieee, stumbled on this video and looking for help. Purchased a CSRA64215 to give daughters car stereo bluetooth. powered unit up with 3.5 aux to car stereo. Pairing is fine and can play music fine. However when making or receiving phone calls i can hear the caller through the speakers, but they are unable to hear me via handset in car. thought i could wire in to mic pins, but seems this is just a mic to output. Any advise would be a great help.
hi thanks for quick reply, i tore down a webcam to use the mic,, that failed. I then tested the mic on my pc input worked fine The mic that im using looks similar to this www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MINI-MICROPHONE-MIC-ELECTRET-CONDENSER-H4234-/112137104112 , any suggestions , am i missing something. sorry for simple wording , but i am not an expert in electronics.
Hello sir. I have a question. I just received my Bluetooth chip and was going to begin hopefully adding Bluetooth to my stock radio. My car radio has a auxiliary input would there be anyway to use the auxiliary input for the Bluetooth instead of the CD player? If it helps this is the model number to my radio pn-2591m. Thank you for any help
@@Darieee The onboard antennas are not the best, but okay, I do believe you. It might not be the case for everybody though and the placement inside can be of influence to the range. You did use a Bluetooth 4.0 which has a much better range than a Bluetooth 3.x or lower. I would advice people to take the highest Bluetooth version available and if possible place the module outside of the metal case.
Mmmm, as long as your radio has any form of opening in the metal chassis, you're fine I now mod mercedes radios and .. yeah .. all of them have been super fine > with having the module inside; of course as close to the cassette/cd opening as possible Went with the csra64215, so bluetooth 4.2 .. splendid performance indeed
Just wondering how the bluetooth signal is supposed to go through the all metal case of the car stereo deck ? Leave the cover off ? Add extra antenna ?
Ok, let me get this straight. The Bluetooth module needs power, so VCC needs 5v and a common ground which is chassis ground? The outputs on the BLT module Audio Left and Audio Right and Audio Ground. So you are connecting the outputs of the Bluetooth module to the inputs on the IC chip for the CD changer input and the audio ground is supposed to be a floating ground or chassis ground? This part was really confusing for me. I watched it over and over. You ended up connecting the audio ground to chassis ground but I'm not really sure why. As for the VCC needing 5v, you have 12v DC coming into the radio and you needed a voltage regulator to convert it to 5v, that part i get. Then you found 12v switched somewhere on the harness and connected your power to the voltage regulator input to a switched input so you don't drain the battery with a constant 12v. So, since my radio has AUX in that i never use, I suppose i can output the bluetooth module to the inputs for that and have bluetooth if i can figure out the grounds. Sweet!
I tried it with my JVC KD-G401 but it does not seem to work :( I connected the CD.R and CD.L pins to an aux jack to test it. I used the AGND for the ground. Did someone alse also try this with this radio?

There's a practical argument to make for adding Bluetooth if the radio of yours is a favorite or plays cassettes, you don't have the deep pockets to buy it all that music digitally or you don't have the time to rip them to mp3, ogg-vorbis or whatever your favorite digital format is. There is also the idea of experimenting, learning and having fun with what you're doing unconcerned about whether the electronic project is practical or not.
To have this man as a teacher i would not pass the class. But I would assume that would have been his goal. What a real difficult person to listen to for a second his way of communicating is unusual to our language I think.
WROOONG!
Do check my newer shit though, -- I still want you to flunk, but my diction has improved though
@@Darieee okay slide the link and.. I will go right over.
And for future references this world is big enough for the both of us to keep distance no need in having hateful intent this world is big but time is not that long.
yeah nah you totally misinterpreted what I said
Very useful considering some stock units are way to big to just be replaced with any other one
Very, very good description! And don’t worry about your diction, I appreciate German thoroughness!
Yup, caught that also, and your math is right on.
Don' messed up on that one
That's Great help but CD player motor is disturbing.how can I trick the player to think CD mode is on while CD drive motor is not running?
*"How to perform brain surgery for $12!"*
Seriously I don't know any way to connect these wires since I'm not an electronic engineer.
Si asa ai facut upgrade la Dacie.
Da sau nu :> ?
Hi buddy. I have an old tape recorder. Same brand. There is only CD, the radio is playing. We are also the same chip holder. I could not find the audio outputs for this card. What should I do?
i have a problem here, i bought a second hand car with a bluetooth head unit, but i cant use it, i mean i cant detect it with any of my devices
did you like your own comment :)) ?
open it up and see what's what .. is it at least a name brand ?
piece of potato maybe it has an early version which is out of date so to speak
Try holding down the "Call" button.
Great work. My stupid porsche radio does not have bluetooth. It will cost me 600 to purchase a bluetooth. I am going to try this out.
+Pete N let us know how it turns out :D
Pete N you got a Porche and aint got 300 quid to install a proper bluetooth module? Get lost...
dimitris kaloupis
I do not own a Porsche because I am rich. I own my Porsche because I am cheap....lol. But I enjoy learning and testing new things out. The Bluetooth modules cost up to 500. For that price, I rather purchase a new stereo. Plus, I had my car broken in before. So, I would like to keep it look stock.
dimitris - don't you guys have some debt to pay off btw ? just askin' ?
Porsches are not that expensive.. Also it might be a hobby or something who are you to judge?
if u have problems with the voltage regualtor to work, solder a 100nf capaitor close to input and output, many cheap alternatives to lm7805 dont work well without these caps
I feel smarter after watching this
My Blaupunkt had a setting called 'Aux Mode On/Off' or called similar like this and I could so select the Aux in on the back with the source selector button.
yeah .. this one I had didn't know such fancy tricks unfortunately
Interesting soldering technique :P
You mean soldering small electronics with that firestick? - Quite impressive i must say!
Darieee - Or you go buy the right tool for the job and do the job right. You can get a 30-40W soldering iron for $10.
Mm, I did get a 70€ one like bigclive has - that's way too weak, and very cumbersome to set up on the table
Tor Arne Hustvedt or use one similar to Louis Rossmann
Is it possible to install BT by removing the CD mechanism and of course circuit and by inserting BT Audio R +L to audio switching/audio processor chip ? I'm trying this in Kenwood KDS MP-333V car stereo. I've already installed it by disabling AM radio and inserting BT audio R+L combined, to the tuner input of the radio chip. For switching FM and BT audio I've used spdt relay.
Outstanding tutorial....and um...yah!
Thanks man - I did mostly get rid of that tic too, so, newer videos should be less annoying
Sweet, that's a pretty good price too
interesting and informative, though you should have the camera at an angle where your head doesn't block the video so often
Thank you, greatly appreciated!
Thanks for the video and keep up the good work
for the haters I have old car I am restoring right now it's already have aftermarket headunit I replaced it for the original old stereo and I want bluetooth feature to be in it, so this video helped me
Funfact, this radio actually HAS bluetooth
😆😆
Not easy to open with a lot off different Allen Key screws and something I wouldn't want to do, can you not get the SPDIF data out from the Bluetooth module and feed that to the SPDIF input on the CD processing chip.
Even if you can (which you should be able to), there's huge chances it doesn't have an i2s or spdif input, and near unity chances you won't be able to select that input
nice job, one cuestion, how can i create a radio station to emit silence?
You could buy a Radio Adapter - buying a non-bluetooth one should help with getting as clean a radio signal as possible. Here's some on amazon amzn.to/2snA9ot
Try smashing the radio sattion up in question
Just hold the button that says "Power" until you can't hear anything but silence
man, just call them on thursday, they got that call in request hour, you could request "Emit Silence" they will probably play it for you as long as it's not got cussing in it
Search via Tune to a all static station with the same on either side. If that is what you are asking.
So how do you switch back and forth between CD and bluetooth?
And ehm....
JK. Great video
I tried reaching out to a few companies in particular but haven’t heard back
sure, usually the play button on those modules has a "become discoverable" action on the long press
$12 in material $11,000,000 in labor
exactly my thought, better to get a new one with flashy touch screen all all that crap ;)
yet everyone's here on this video xD
Or you know, just a guy with some skill and interest in electronics with the drive to do something cool.
Good practice
I hate when someone says umm ever other word, and smacking their damn lips..😟
lwj w that's why i disliked the video, think of what you are going to say, then speak.
I hate it when people don't know how to provide positive constructive criticism.
Use the sandwich technique: Good, constructive, good.

I'm glad you provided this video with constructive criticism and insight to what the audience would appreciate from the poster.
Take a communications course.
I'm sure you will improve in this area if you considered the advice I supplied.
This is exactly what I'm looking into doing to my honda glad i found your vid
A really good, lot of work, to achieve far from perfect result.
+Dupy, Dziary, Muscle Cary. well, when life gives you lemons, what're you gonna do !? Thanks though :))
Darieee make a pie from them or lemoncrud
in some Blaupunkt Radios you can activate AUX - IN in the MENU settings...
Interesting to watch but .fuuuuu that ..
Hi Ignace same car stereo but the CD port not work at all. How can I replace it to a flash player?
Das Good.
Great video, but a fair amount of work, the reason people are saying just buy a new unit is because a new unit does Everything & this is more work than buying a new stereo & fitting it.
True that! And thanks
Ahh...ummm...ahhh
Had to give up on the video before a minute .. Man its annoying as hell !
Yeah, agreed - should be better in the newer videos
And cause you spoke up about it .. I will watch the rest of the video ;) Its a pet peave of mine, and yer, I do it as well a lot !!
Nah still, somehow I really overdid it in this one - the newer videos in the playlist are more concise and better narrated :D
Darieee I think it's where you're not completely used to talking in a video like to someone, it's something you have to get use to doing
I like it very much but how can you play from bloutooth with out the CD drive motor spinning?
in this case, I burn a CD with silent tracks - mp3s that have no sound on them
Not worth the trouble
what trouble ???
Some folks enjoy to make little things with their own hands no matter if that thing cost a penny, others enjoy going to the store to buy the same thing and then continuing with their boring life.
thank you very much xD
GManGT its worth it if you have the skillset.
Roland Hatton I have the skillset, but you have to value your time versus just buying a readymade unit.
I installed a cheap Chinese car play with with bluetooth but caused TPMS errors. Do you know what caused TPMS error? Can it be the bluetooth module? They have different bandwidth, don't they?
This is actually very useful, because that's the exact car radio model I have xD
I have a Chevrolet stereo from a cobalt. It has an aux port so I’m just going to output to that. I’m having a hard time finding a 12v source from within the stereo itself.
Check for a 5V supply, and get a 5V isolated CSRA64215 module
Do watch out though, if you pull the 40mA necessary from some GPIO pin that's outputting 5V .. you can easily fuck the entire radio up
being an electrical engineering student I'm gonna do to my Merc tape audio player ... I really don't want swap out the stereo , thanks for the vid
Great video. I did with my stock mini cooper radio with tda7402 chip, but the music is little bit quiet. Enyone knows what can be the problem?
newer bluetooth modules have a jumper on the back to increase the gain on the headphone amp they have on board
maybe you have one of those and can bridge that across for more punch
How to determine the power source for the step down dc converter?
nice soldering iron , one of the best on the market and one of the last quality products 100% made in Romania. I think this model is from 1970 and still rocks on!
Sure does - bought myself 2 just in case the company making them does get stolen away too
Does need a dimmer though, otherwise, you'll eat away your copper in a few hours
What, no foam, or even tape, to cover up the connection points on the BT board? As in, to secure it from shortouts?
mm, nah - it's held in with 2 screws ... and the cd module, which is the other metallic component that could mode, is also held in with screws in at least 3 points
also - the general public isn't allowed in there so - should be fine
Darieee But what does the way it's mounted, have to do with electric safety? I'm no expert on this kinda stuff, so I'm confused. But thanks for the reply, anyway. #eurozone (As in Europe, not the EU thing in Brussels. 😆) Oh, nevermind, now I see. I went back to the video, and went fullscreen. There are some kinda spacer on the screws themself. Nice job, and just how I would like it too. Very professionally done. 👍
Thanks - so, safety wise, you could lick everything, it's 5V or less
I would like to do that with a Skoda Symphony head unit, but instead of Bluetooth only a simple AUX cable.
The problem is that I can't figure out where I could solder my wires. Could you assist me if I will send you some pictures or the number of the chips on the board?
sure
I'll be needing to do that soon too 🔥 (half a year plus though)
write me an email at lipton5001@yahoo.com
show me the front of the radio too
@@Darieee thank you very much, I sent you a mail with the details. 😀
Bluetooth module already ordered. Can't wait to tinker with my old car stereo :) tnx for the video
you're welcome :D
Maybe I missed it in the vid... silent CD? So, you have to put in a blank CD? Also, how do you pair to this device with no usable interface on the radio? How would the Bluetooth know you are attempting to cast to it?
Yeah, a blank cd with a silent track on it
At powerup the bt adapter attempts to connect to the last paired device - if that fails, it becomes discoverable, then you can pair to it
Volume on its end in maximum by default, so max on the phone is the max it can put out into the radio
Darieee - ah, interesting. Not sure it would be worthwhile for me, but interesting. 👍
Mmm, that I really don't know - try some Honda forums perhaps
Hello Guy, do you think it's possible to add Bt on the Sony cdx-gt 640 ui with your method ? Thank you very much
I have a Pioneer DEH-P670MP. It has an Aux capable plug but I'm having a really hard time finding any schematics to understand where I need to start soldering to :X
Connect the L R and GND to the corresponding aux wires, and find a way to power the bluetooth module; if you have an AUX you don't need any schematics
Yeah .. it's gonna take some patience until you figure everything out
That's frustratingly unhelpful haha. I'll continue scouring Google and maybe post on some other forums then.
Yeah, the way the cookie crumbles
Go ahead and watch ffcossag 's youtube channel, he does a lot of audio work, and slowly you'll get a feel for what to look fir
Excellent man, really enjoyed watching your video and looking forward to more. Subscribed
glad you enjoyed it ! I'll be posting my 2nd iPod Hi Fi restoration video shortly :>, keep an eye out for that !
Just finished installing a BT module to my old Peugeot 406, works like a charm! Thanks for the idea! :-)
don't mention it :D
Thnx for the video.
I also have a bluetooth chip like this, but without the adaptor plate, only the blue chip and im trying to figure out how to put it on an amplifier, without dc converters. Amplifier is running at 29vdc. Do you think i can connect it on the legs of an LED? Its a 3.3V version
mmm, risky - you would need at least a 3.3v regulator
it also has differential audio outputs, not single ended (this should also be considered)
I want to connect it to FFC cable. But I do not know how to do it
i was thinking of doing the same thing however my radio has a 6 cd changer output .you think i would have to have a blank cd as well. im thinking of just tapping into the wires for the ccd changers input to stereo
well, that's exactly how I did it xD should work as long as you find a way to tap into the signal path
Why add a voltage regulator when the bs1203s dc/dc converter on the board does the same thing
if you check the datasheet, you'll see that those *isolating* dc-dc converters are very sensitive for their input ...
cars will easily reach 14.5 which .. technically will blow those up (maybe they don't but - yhea, no guarantees off the beaten path)
darieee thanks I understand now. I’m moving onto my next speaker issue which is that my tiny Bluetooth speaker is getting gsm buzz. My understanding from google is I need better shielded speaker wire or a ferrite core but know next to nothing about the issue.
if you can, and you usually can,
do go with a 'differential' signal
check my channel for differential - I have some videos on this topic (and also my margarine box speaker has this done and explained)
How should i power up the stereo wit a dc 12v 5amp adapter........which are the +ve and ground points to power it up at home not in car..!
I don’t really get the question ..
I dont have the data sheet of the connection so i just want to know the points to start up this stereo system at home.....not in a car
Have you managed to utilize some of the radios existing old buttons to operate the bluetooth board commands like play/pause or track control?
Alright so, either way you seem pretty far along
So you 'did' wire up a microphone to the CSRA64215 module?
hi thanks for quick reply, i tore down a webcam to use the mic,, that failed.
Good day sir; it sure would work, take the R L and GND and hook them up into the AUX. That'd even be way better than using the CD
Since you are building it in a metal case and I haven't seen you connect a bluetooth antenna going out I am surprised it still works.
Yeah, me too
The cd slit is more than enough to get a good few meters of range believe it or not
@@Darieee
The onboard antennas are not the best, but okay, I do believe you. It might not be the case for everybody though and the placement inside can be of influence to the range. You did use a Bluetooth 4.0 which has a much better range than a Bluetooth 3.x or lower. I would advice people to take the highest Bluetooth version available and if possible place the module outside of the metal case.
Mmmm, as long as your radio has any form of opening in the metal chassis, you're fine
I now mod mercedes radios and .. yeah .. all of them have been super fine > with having the module inside; of course as close to the cassette/cd opening as possible
Went with the csra64215, so bluetooth 4.2 .. splendid performance indeed
Just wondering how the bluetooth signal is supposed to go through the all metal case of the car stereo deck ? Leave the cover off ? Add extra antenna ?
Nah, any small hole, even the size of the cd slot, will do ...
Imagine being in a box with a hole in one side .. you'll still hear stuff from outside
Sweet!
Can I do that with the CD Cassette Radio by mercedes Benz? It is a E320, year 1998
Radio model: BE 6003
Thanks
should be doable; you'd have to send the radio in, and it should take a few days until I ship it back 🤘
I tried it with my JVC KD-G401 but it does not seem to work :( I connected the CD.R and CD.L pins to an aux jack to test it. I used the AGND for the ground. Did someone alse also try this with this radio?
