Trans is out and clean and ready... And so is the sub-frame... Now for the engine, no more crusty engine block for me! Is the trans actually going to fit?
Thank you, This is filmed with a go pro hero 7. it has a time lapse feature which is very handy. I did speed it up with the editing software also to keep things moving along. Thanks for watching
Your videos are great, I would have loved to heard the details on the engine rebuild rather then a time lapse. Only because I'm an amateur and I'll be doing something similar in the coming months.
Thank you for the comment, Regarding the rebuild it was not too in depth in my case, essentially all gasket material was replaced with new. Mechanically the engine is the same with the original parts. I was on a very limited time line with the engine work itself and did not actually have enough time to review in detail each step for the sake of a video. If you haven't already you should consider joining the Facebook group "Chevette Owners" You will find many members are willing to share all kinds of information regarding most aspects of these cars. It can be a great place to gather information and even parts in some cases. I appreciate you taking the time to watch. Cheers! -Rob
I'm surprised you could get the coil springs back in without compressing them first. Old vehicles must have more work space in them.
cutting then short helps hahaha
Your time lapse of the engine drop was perfect! what kind of camera did you use?
