Kevin Calls Cropstick Owner "Bambi"! | Shark Tank US | Shark Tank Global
/ @sharktankglobal
DAYUMMM. Calling her bambi, then her product being called a class project, then being called a little too early to invest, then calling it a commodity and ending with a compliment but "I'm out." that gotta hurt. Hope she does well!
U can tell she was about to cry . She is a young strong woman
he calls her a bambi.....with respect to her hubby, she is a very cute bambi!
Dont jump into the shark tank if your afraid of getting bit
Glad to find out she is doing well with the business. Getting into Disney, Four seasons and more.
Don't know how it is doing honestly. Didn't find anything credible beyond the produce being completely unavailable on Amazon.
@@Dwade32it’s not really for retail, she’s selling it directly to big businesses who can afford the commodity. Like Disney, they can add this commodity to their restaurants and hotels.
@@KK-fw4zq at a certain price don't get it twisted like Kevin said if you can match what they currently have and it's a better mouse trap then yes, if it's higher than what they are currently buying it's a commodity.
Lol I see few strange comments on here , I’m almost convinced you are ether related or friends of her, saying her business is doing well, well that’s funny bc she moved on to only teaching entrepreneurship😂 but nice 👍🏻 try 😂
Disney? So she really was this bambi in a forest.
Dang. You could tell she was crushed when Mark said it was a class project.
she made deals with numerous big names, including Disney, The Four Seasons, and Walgreens,
well, the sharks have been wrong before.
george wassouf commenting on a shark tank video... the crossover I never expected :D
Bro nobody even addressed the fact that what % of America, hotels wherever who cares, ACTUALLY use ANY kind of chopstick for that matter. What is it, 10-15% in the states? People just use forks😂we are lazy. Half the battle is majority of people just don’t use what she’s selling😆
Kevin being wrong again....
Still Bambi in the Bamboo forest
They are making 1.2 million per year now. they are doing bamboo straws etc.
Cool
Bs. Source ? Link?
Daymond: to be an entrepreneur..... Kevin: lets get back to business..😂😂
Still in business with around $1.2 million in annual revenue - good for her!
How humble this couple is.
Love the culture of Japan.
Japan's culture has some really bad parts of it. Just saying.
@@AllenReviews 🙄🙄 .
What's that?
@@AllenReviews every country has their bad side, it's like you wanna say US doesnt have it. Want me to throw it to your face? SEPARATING COLORS AND OIL INVASION.
@@AllenReviews so does every other country too duuuh
@@39zack Some of these things may happen in other countries, but it’s way more common and prevalent in Japan. It’s well documented. These things aren’t prevalent in every country. Either way, those are the negative aspects of their country’s culture.
She needed to present some market research to show people would pay more for it. Maybe the editors cut that part. The Sharks had very strong opinions about a product they don't really understand.
Nothing like shark tank on a lunch break
Or a binner beak for that matter.
Love the introduction of the entrepreneur before the big show!
I hate it.
They make squared-off metal chopsticks. Food grade Stainless steel, and titanium ones too. Plus, bamboo isn't a synthetic material.
She is very beautiful..😍🥰
she's married.....
"It was nice knowing her!", Kevin
Once upon a time daymond had hair😂😂😂
Barbara: im not there, and for that reasom im out
How is everyone enjoying their lunch break
Lol 😅
Hilarious how she taught entrepreneurs before she became one
This is pretty normal in universities across all fields- the teachers are academics, doing research, without necessarily having specific job experience outside of that. It’s not a perfect system, but it doesn’t make the teaching worthless. Likewise, being a high achiever at something doesn’t automatically mean you’ll be a good teacher.
@@elenagerhardy2636 Without real world experience, there is nothing the profesor is offering that a textbook and an internet search can’t. The latter is cheaper. Defending a broken system can slow down innovation in teaching methods.
It’s makes a huge difference, my favorite teacher in college actually worked at the top of the company I work for now, and he knew his stuff, because he had been in business management at the highest level for the biggest insurance company in the world and decided to retire cause he was loaded
Those who can't do - teach.
@@marcelljackson6940 I disagree- a good teacher can inspire and direct you in a way that textbooks and the internet cannot. This isn’t to say that online learning doesn’t have value though. Have you never had a good teacher before?
The Rogaine has Daymond looking younger
Wouldn't be shark tank without Kevin
Wait….., Daymond has hair???
Ummm...Bambi survived! Her parents😮
Who else here eatin'
Her face 😢
Oh what a story
This is something that has existed for thousands of years.
Not an invention.
Have daymond any investment so far ? He is in the show for nothin
Mine are stainless steel and got etched 🐲 on them.
Oooooooooo keviiiiin
WOW she made $125,000 on a$190,000 Hmmmm .
Why is he not wearing gloves though?
Guys, make sure to ware all of the Hawaiian related clothing you own while in Hawaii. We really need the audience to know you are from Hawaii.
yep!!! be like Iam Tongi!!!!
She got hurt bro. No tough skin.
She didn't specify what side her grandpa fought for 🤨
Obviously our side.
Obviously on the good guy side and unlike movies good guys often are the losers
She said very clearly they are 4TH GENERATION AMERICANS!!!
lmao, her family has been in the states longer than some white American's like Trump.
First
Even with the current dip in crypto currency's, I'm still glad I can smile back at my portfolio of $86,700 built from my weekly trade, I'm having my fourth withdrawal in 10 business days
I have heard so much about Mr's Camellie Ann Hector and how good she is, please how safe are the profits?
I have also been trading with her, The profits are secured and over a 100% return on investment directly sent to your wallet
Indeed Ma'am Camellie Ann Hector is a Crypto Trading genius! I got 3 of my friends to invest with her platform and am so happy their portfolios are doing well now
@@BenjaminFranklin-sc6id Oh please , is there any way I can speak to Mr's Camellie, this sounds so helpful and I would love to join the train, 🤚
Mr's Camellie, has been such a blessing to me, my colleague got me involved in this and I can't thank her enough, my first placement was a little amount of Ethereum and my investment has been growing so well even with the current dip
Which side did her grand daddy fight for 👀👀👀
And why would it matter?
@@jaimhaas5170 For Americans the only thing matters you are either with them (still under the boot) or under their dirty boot. There's never between
Her company Cropmade's annual revenue is $1.2 million. Her clients include Disney Parks and Resorts, Panda Inn, and Four Seasons. Kevin was an a$$ for calling her a name. She handled the rejections with class. To be able to get these big clients, she is clearly highly capable and driven than they gave her credit for. I wish this couple continued success with their company.
100%! Thanks for the update! I'm actually relieved to learn that.
So is it cos did she match the price point??
Being on Shark Tank probably helped open a lot of doors to be fair
I think being called Bambi is just what she needed to hear. It lit a fire under her - and I guarantee that she LISTNED to his feedback and altered her pricing structure. Good luck to her, but Kevin is not a villain here.
1.2 with 0 profit, selling to all those big companies, it's a PR play, going nowhere. Seeyaa
Poor girl...her emotions were all over her face...but she stayed quite, didn't interrupt and acted professional during and after being rejected. Respect ma'am!
(I'd pay a few cents more for your product if I see it!)
Quiet
Not if youre buying them by the truck loads. If a company like PF Changs pays 2 cents more for 500k of chopsticks, its an extra 10k in costs for a marginally better option that most people wont even notice. Plus youd have to teach people how to use it vs. what theyve been accustomed to for a really long time. If shes not at or below the other options, her business will be a niche option or a non-existant one.
I don't think they sell in your country, Mr. Popat
She is so adorable and classy i wish her the bedt luck
Her annual revenue is
$ 1.2 million.
Kevin does know Bambi lives and has a successful life right? …Bambi’s mom is the one who didn’t make it out of the forest. Her company is worth over a million today. Funny enough Disney took to the Bambi insult and now her chopsticks are used at Disney parks!
Rightly said
Tough for her husband to stand there. Silent. In support and in pain for her. Tough.
She's still in business after all these years. Many Shark Tank businesses are not. Good for her.
It’s always crazy to me that most of the deals never go through and those that do tend to fail or are scams
@@un6250 which scans are you referring to???
Bullll 💩 she moved on to only teaching entrepreneurship 😂
This was 7 months ago
why do i feel like prop sticks would’ve been a better name 😭
damn that hurt just watching her face expression when everybody went out
I would have went out too
But handled it so well!
That was an insert cut
6:59 her husband is ready to beat Kevin up! lol
Haaiyaaa..
I saw his expression. He feels protective about that woman!!
Poor girl, you can read in her eyes she was so upset for not getting any sharks. Good luck to her !
sometimes, rejection is WAY BETTER......you have that "ok....I got rejected, but you guys shall SEE....I will do my ultimate and you will SEE!!!
It's now available everywhere
I really don't understand how a school can charge thousands of dollars to students to take a course from a teacher who has never done what they are teaching? How can someone who has never been an entrepreneur teach entrepreneurship? To me that feels like fraud.
You just nailed college in general on the head, it's all a big scam
Yes of course, lawyers must teacher law. doctors must teach medicine. musicians must teach music. teacher must teach education. politicians must teach politics ...
@@zinhle1627 I know you are being sarcastic but I def feel that should be the case. What credibility does someone have to teach something they have no track record of successfully doing?
@@ryancooper3629 I don’t think he was being sarcastic. Wait do lawyers teach law?
@@zinhle1627 that literally is the case lol
The fact that you can teach something at the highest level without ever having done it. Totally backwards
Undergraduate college isn't the highest level
Those who can't do teach
She was really good with that posure after rejections. Good that brand become big. She deserves it
You took the feedback with grace and poise
Kevin is wrong. He doesn’t understand the product enough yet. Sustainability is now very important and bamboo can be produced fast and cheaply because it’s just grass. Felt bad for her but glad to read she is doing well.
This is a really really good product honestly! I love sushi and having these would be amazing I would honestly love if they also made chopsticks you can keep
the website does
Looking at the way Kevin hold his chopstick, i think she's pitching to the wrong people..
how do you teach a haole to hold chopsticks? NOT!
Regardless of them not buying into it or the actual realistic market for such a product, she will make more money and finally be an entrepreneur!
I LOVE her idea!!! I hope she doesn't give up.
She's still in business and sells Cropsticks to Walt Disney's Park Resorts, Four Seasons and more
neat idea but I agree that companies will just buy the cheapest product. I normally just make a chopstick holder out of the paper holder that it comes with.
i would gladly pay more for her chopsticks - the ones at most restaurants feel so cheap to me and have pieces of bamboo or wood that splinter off
If I had the money, I'd given her. She had the sweetest expression on her face...
Seems a decent idea with potential, better than some of the crap that been invested in here
One of the worst inventions on Shark Tank
She’s doing over million annually now according to some sources.
What's the net profit on that?
60%

he called her a bambi how rude her emotions were all over the place i feel sorry for her i liked the product
Lmao
Yeah yeah go back to your anime Eren
@@WD00777 smd
@@WD00777doesn’t even make sense lmao what
She lost me 5 seconds into this video when she said she’s a “model”. I know longer care about what you’re saying .
The paper that the chopsticks comes in can be folded up and turned into a rest for your chopsticks tho
DAMN ... SHARKS BROKE HER HEART ... HER EMOTIONS IS ALL OVER BUT TEARS ....
You know how chopsticks come in a little paper sleeve? Well guess what, you just fold it and place your chopsticks on it and it does the exact same thing.
Chopsticks; 4,001 years and counting
I understand that when you’re looking for someone to invest in your company or your products … they aren’t going to treat you like a delicate flower however, Kevin saying that she’s Bambi was rude and there’s no other way to put it. He wasn’t giving her constructive criticism WHEN he said you’re Bambi who’s about to get slaughtered. I hope that she is proving them all wrong.
Didn't this dude scam millions of everyday people?
They hit the nail on the head, the Eco product is better but if it is more expensive not enough people will care to pay more. That is the reality.
It’s thriving
This lady just solved all my chopstick issues
Got a lot of those going on
If she was doing this in 2023-2024, the feedback would be different because even though restaurants don't care about pollution, customers care and governments are gradually enforcing more sustainable materials. It's only a matter of time before hemp, bamboo, etc. replaces traditional wood.
She is so beautiful and classy 🤍
Simp
That’s the one you invest in for the owner of the product.
Lori don't F with sushi so she immediately got to asking questions lol ..everyone else still chewing lol
I usually just slide my chopsticks back into the wrapper. Or fold the paper wrapper into a holder.
I don’t use chopsticks but if I saw these out somewhere for sale I’d buy them a learn to use them just to support the business. She was extremely classy the way she handled the rejection. You could see she was hurt but she still stood strong and for that reason I’m in. Good luck to you, your family and your business.
clever design.. they could probably find a way to hide the extra cost by packaging it directly with ramen or something like that.
I loved how she carried those two pairs of chopsticks in her hair. The whole hairstyle looked super cute and on theme!
Honestly, I wish she left them in there.
Today’s America someone that’s never ran a business teaching kids how to be an entrepreneur.
Without Kevin the show is a flop
Stopped immediately after Kevin left
That's not new. I came across that type of chopsticks in the 90s.
can't teach a class about how to be an entrepreneur? Definitely shows she's more academia focused.
how do you get 2 cents to have a decimal theres no decimal value in cents
"I realized it's one thing to teach entrepreneurship and quiet another to be a entrepreneur." that's qualification 😂
Her company has clients like Disney now and generates over 1.2 million a year… so she wasn’t too off
Kevin’s been proven a joke compared to the other sharks
I feel like ive seen these Chopsticks everywhere.
Didnt Bambi turn in a huge, handsome deer? So… it was a compliment after all. Plus I’m reading on here she’s pretty successful and still in biz. She really is Bambi.
The "It was nice to knowing her" at the end killed me. 😅
Kevin and Barbara - make the same mistake. They act like jerks and then wonder why people don't prefer them. Instead of calling her bambi....he could have said the same thing........with some wise words. This person put alot of effort and thought into this idea.........I actually thought it was a good idea. The world is changing....and people care about things that preserve the earth.. That does not mean she will take over with her bamboo sticks....but she could surprisingly do quite well...in uptown places. I like Kevins humour......I like Kevin..........but there are just moments....
Sharks can be confidently wrong more than they are confidently right, it's part of the game. Never forget when the sharks shunned ring doorbell before it was sold for billions to Amazon.
Good strategy. lame idea
Bambi thinking till she showed up here!( hope she walks out of here smarter. [ If it is 4000 years old n Only 6 cents/pair; Why did Kevin have to think for her?
lol, countries are banning plastic disposable crap and who knows will maybe even ban wood
The sharks always think in absolute terms, will it take the over the WHOLE market, she doesn’t need to take over the market to make a few million. She will make a few million from less than 1% of the market.
they walked out with the head held high.
Whatmnext, a 1 prong fork? A spoon with holes tomstrain out fluids?
Hyatt had already ordered! like lmao she had proof people would pay more because Hyatt already had. so dumb
That’s actually a good ide why no one licensed it to a chopstick manufacturer
