Well done Dan... There's that word "ego" that gets in a lot of people's way. I've switched to cleveland launcher hb turbo irons this year and am playing my best golf ever.
I’m surprised at the winner dan I would have thought the ping g425 would have figured somewhere,I understand that testing every iron is difficult,I like the polished editing and presentation though 🎉
I bought some new irons just after Christmas. Tried a few but got fitted into a set of Wilson d9 ironically all standard went 5-GW they do all I require get the ball up in the air easy give me a bit of distance back. Great clubs for slower swingers like myself
Hi Dan great review 👍, Delighted to see my Titleist T300s at the top, got fitted for these Feb 2022 with graphite shafts 1” longer & 2deg upright, in the fitting they were the only club I could test in my spec👍, got 7Iron to 43deg pitching wedge & 48deg gap wedge, the gapping between the Irons is perfect & the Wedges are Fantastic proper wedges (no chunky offset wedges here), Thanks Dan Dickey 9hcp 76year senior golfer
I got fitted for jpx hmt pro 921. Wait ages for them and just didn't get on with them . I bought pxg xcor2 fitted to the same spec as my old ping i500. Love them and as they were on offer it eases the pain I spent on the mizuno's which my son will probably get as I can't sell them .
LOVE my Stealths......hard to get rid of them they perform great for me and consistent ....would be willing to try the Mizuno JPX 923 Hotmetal and the Ping G430....but I should really stick with what worked well for me last year....went from a 14 handicap to a 9....maybe in the hunt for a driver.... Have a fitting with TXG in March....cheers from Canada
Ping G430 have under performed compared to the Stealths in every review I’ve seen, no need to spend more money. Mizunos seem to be on par (maybe slightly better build quality). Keep what you have, it’s working.
Great review love my T300 set and if I was to change probably look at Stealth. So my five would be similar 1-T300 2- Stealth 3 cobra ltd 4- Mizuno 923 hot metal 5 Wilson D9.
A great unbiased review of your choice for 2022. I think from seeing your shots I would replace the t300 with Ping, only because Ping have only ever made decent kit for the masses that are easy to hit and get in the air. Titleist although one of the top brands make a lot of irons aimed at the better players and ball strikers. You have got to find the middle of the club, almost all the time. Taylormade have always made good kit and although I totally agree with your review albeit without the t300 i think the taylormade will look nice from above but do look a bit intimidating for even mid handicapper. Only my opinion of course and I am by no means a professional
Good video Dan. I'm guessing there's a caveat to your video title since no Cleveland or Ping were looked at; both of which are some of the most forgiving? I just switched from Cleveland Launchers HB's to Cleveland Launcher XL's - easily two of the most forgiving clubs out there. I like Dan's Top 5 but would encourage people to give Cleveland a try when getting fitted. Great price point too.
I bought a set of T300 earlier this year from my club pro (where I buy all my clubs / most of my clothes) replacing my 15 year old Macgregor M455's. So glad I did. Consistency is up, ball striking is so much better and they look nice on the patio at the club too. Is this the year that my handicap will come back down ? I do hope so. Great job as always. We going to get you to 50K subs in Jan ? I'll give this one a share.
plenty to think of if your looking to change, but I'm more than likely sticking with my Tour edge exotics 220h irons. I like the look of the Tour edge Exotics E722 but there is hardly any reviews to go by. Keep up the good work looking forward to 2023 and what you boy's get up to👍
Haven't tested or tried any ,but I would ask DH to compare identical shafts and interchange old and new heads of identical angles to see how much improvement technologies have advanced. Yours sincerely , Mr Sceptical
Love this channel. Love Dan and lester. Course blogs are so good and although I know we need diversity I have no time for these vids. I will support you guys until the end but I think you are better than this. I know it’ll be hard to get loads of course vlogs consistently but this is the strength of this channel. All the best for the new year x
Interesting review as always Dan. Got my new T300 at the end of the year and already noticing a huge difference, can't wait for the new season to reduce the HC.
Great review 👍… I tested several irons a few weeks ago. Went through my very first fitting and ended up with JPX Mizuno 923 hot metal. I did try stealth-mizuno hl-tour edge c722. 923 hot metal fit me the best.
Same here. The look and feel felt the best and then most importantly, the first 3 hits in a row with perfect trajectory on a straight line at 160 for my 7 iron on a light smooth swing felt great
Loft is always your forgiveness... Not sure the cobra LTDX at 26,5° sits before Mizuno HL at 31°..I tried both and for me Mizuno was more forgiving and better feel.
There’s not a lot between different manufacturers these days. It’s down to personal preference. I bought Ping G425 after a fitting and unfortunately I cannot get on with them. My game has gone backwards. I’m looking at going down Wilson or Cleveland route for next set.
I am suprised Callaway did not make the top 5, I have played golf for 25 years off now a 11 handicap and over the years I always found they was the first inventors of forgiving irons.
Its important when finding clubs to get fitted and the person assisting needs to know your game well. If you hit with too much spin and are hitting it higher, don't go for a club with more loft. If you hit it low, consider the higher loft to help your carry. Clubs are changing so fast it's hard to keep up with the tech. My 10 yr old clubs are looking way outdated.
My 5 cents worth of input: when I started to play golf 50 years ago, Ping was the undisputed GOAT. Today Ping is still the GOAT. At set for mid to high golfers is easily made up of: Ping for driver, fairway woods and irons. Titelist Vokey for the wedges and Scotty Cameron for the putter. For golf ball, look no further than Titleist Pro V. The rest are distractions and entertainment. But don't look at your credit card balance.
I haven’t seen a Ping Product Finish in the Top. 5 in a RUclips Review in like three years. Ping was the GOAT because they were customizable, now everyone is
@@markstaud Remember that Ping doesn't having the hype and marketing prowess that the others have, but to a knowledgeable golfer that doesn't mean much.
Good vid Dan. The stealth and the t300 are definitely the best looking out of the lot. Gives you the best of both worlds with the looks and forgiveness. I had a set of 712 cb/mb irons (I thought I was a better golfer than I actually am) and moved away from them to the ping g25's. Even though they are an older model and a bit chunky they do the job and still look ok. Keep up the great work DHG.
I recently got fitted for irons and ended up going with the stealth’s. I tried the g425’s and didn’t like them. That’s why it is so hard to go off of RUclips videos. Everyone hits differently.
Hi Dan Recently tred the Mizunos (couldn’t consistently hit it) the T300’s (most consistent) and Stealth ( hottest but had some fliers and longer rollout) so agree you have the top two👍. Would be great to see the track man numbers with these versus the new Paradym! Cheers Dan
I would add the cobra or mizuno it’s too lofted up 26 degree a 7 iron it’s just mad where are we going to go with this. I say a mid handicapper need more loft rather less
To be honest, they look a feel similar but a much better feel into the ground, might sound a bit strange but you would need to hit them side by side to see and feel it 👍
Just a thought allthough these were released last year they are all still relevent for this year also.. So if people are searching iron reviews 2023 this wont come up?.. Might be worth adding in the title? Or do as you want as its your channel.. 😂😂😂
I love the channel dan but I hate these kinds of videos because they try to pigeon hole people into clubs by handicap. Just because someone doesn't have a low single digit handicap doesn't necessarily mean they they always need these type of super game improvement irons. Some examples include, somebody who has a shallow attack angle can really be negatively impacted by the thick soles on these types of irons. Also some people like me hit their irons really good but cannot putt a lick. I'm a 12 handicap but it really comes down to way to many 2 and 3 putts.
Like I said in the video, there will be a number left out. However what I would say is I have only been offered to do one video with PXG and they had to look over it before I put it out 👎
People even high handicapper are no diffent to you . They want something with pretty without jackets lofts. I would say ping g425, JPX, Apex, cobra tec, ping g545, etc. most of them have no tolerance loads of offset big clubs etc.
I’m a 60 year old, and need help getting launch, more spin, and a steeper landing angle. Swinging around 80 mph with a 6 iron. I’m thinking the Mizuno Hot Metal HL was built for me. Should help getting me back to low single digit handicap. Our course has a lot of greens with bunkers in front. You need to hit a high soft landing shot to hold them. ⛳️🏌🏽♂️
Iwe got Mizuno 9xx and as a loongtime 15+ player, and now 25+ this means nothing.. dont belive that changing your set is gona make u better.. this is hogwash!
Well done Dan... There's that word "ego" that gets in a lot of people's way.

i just recently got the callaway rogue st max os irons and my consistency on the course has improved so much
I’m surprised at the winner dan I would have thought the ping g425 would have figured somewhere,I understand that testing every iron is difficult,I like the polished editing and presentation though 🎉
Moved to a set of t300s this year. Took some time to gel, but handicap into single figures for the 1st time, roll on the new season.
Great review Dan.
I think you need a mid handicapper to give their opinion as well - we are much less consistent with strike than you guys 👌
Nice comparison Dan as others have said in the comments the HL jpx is 31 degrees of loft I think you’ve got the loft of the standard hot metals.
Spot on Dan! There no “bad” irons these days, budget and personal taste!
I bought some new irons just after Christmas. Tried a few but got fitted into a set of Wilson d9 ironically all standard went 5-GW they do all I require get the ball up in the air easy give me a bit of distance back. Great clubs for slower swingers like myself
I'm going to be buying some new irons REAL soon, time to put away the Wilson TN-1200 Gear Effect. Thanks for the video.

Very clickly sounding though

Your gear reviews are really good 👍 Your studio set up is ideal for them as well. You should definitely do more
how how how do you not have a million sub base , this is fantastic, ....
🤯
28.5° loft 7 iron for 923 hot metal. The HL version is 31° I believe. I thought i saw that you can order the HL 2° stronger though.
Gaming P790 at the moment but will probably swallow my pride next time I buy new irons and get some more help at least 4-6 irons.
Interesting review as always Dan. Got my new T300 at the end of the year and already noticing a huge difference, can't wait for the new season to reduce the HC.
Happy New Year Col 🍻
Good selection but surprised there is no Cleveland or Srixon ZX4 irons.
Love my stealth irons but the face on these scratch up easily from just wiping them off, granted the course is quite sandy

Did you not review the JPX HL? That’s 31° for the 7 iron. Cleveland do well here too I think their’s is the XL
I'm sticking with my Calloway X-16's
Loft is always your forgiveness... Not sure the cobra LTDX at 26,5° sits before Mizuno HL at 31°..I tried both and for me Mizuno was more forgiving and better feel.

Jpx High launch 31 degree loft
the high launch 7 iron is 31 degrees of loft
Im a Duffer that uses a Divot tracer on my video review footage.
~Ed Shank
I would add the Wilson D9 irons.
Love the title.. 😉😉👌👌
Great video Dan. Have you booted lee as well now 😀😀😀
Don’t worry Colin, he was behind the camera making sure I kept on script 😉
The JPX High Launch has 31* loft, not 28.5*.

you left out the most forgiving club. it is the Callaway Rogue Max
Ping g425 ?
Ping G425 for me.

Hey Dan
Which was the wildcard?
What? No Ping G425? Hands down. should have at least made the top 3.
Ping G430 is the way to go
I would add the cobra or mizuno it’s too lofted up 26 degree a 7 iron it’s just mad where are we going to go with this. I say a mid handicapper need more loft rather less
How do the new titleist irons compair to the ap3 718 series? Worth the upgrade??
To be honest, they look a feel similar but a much better feel into the ground, might sound a bit strange but you would need to hit them side by side to see and feel it 👍
@@DanHendriksenGolf thanks Dan! All the best this year!
The Titliest T400 is the most forgiving in their range not the T300 and I think should be considered as their entry level club.
💙
Where is the Ping?
Cobra t rail is personally better than Wilson launchpads

No
Did you do a review of the 2021 model titlest
It doesn't matter what club you use if you don't square the club head up
I’m a 60 year old, and need help getting launch, more spin, and a steeper landing angle. Swinging around 80 mph with a 6 iron. I’m thinking the Mizuno Hot Metal HL was built for me.
