I thought you were going to say MVG said to you 'Matew is it true you beat Anderson with a 170 finish'?
The real question is what did Gary Anderson say after you hit that 170 finish? 😅🎯🎣
"I'm just here for the darts"
i work with a chap called mark wilson he had a tour card for a few years 2019 onwards and i cant get enough of his stories about the players! love this!
You are the best Sir Matthew. I appreciate the content you are providing. Really enjoyable for us darts nerds! Many thanks and much respect from Niagara Falls 🇨🇦
Your early stuff was very funny. Especially the "9 Dart attempt" one against MVG.
Then there was the other 9 dart one, when you put up the video of you getting the 180,180,141. Okay, it wasn't all done in the same leg, but I'm still counting it!
Legend.
Thank you 😊 the 9 darter was legendary
Great content Edgar, a true insight into the world of professional darts 1️⃣7️⃣0️⃣🎯
Good to hear that most players get on well. There are plenty of sports that could learn from the sportsmanship and mutual respect shown in darts. It could also be argued there is a bit less spice in the game without the mind games of taylor or bristow, or the pantomime antics of manley and hankey.
Oh absolutely I agree and I love a bit of spice
C’mon Matt, give us the behind the scenes drinking scoop, and who’s got vodka in the water bottle 😂
Hey Matthew, MvG here. Your Podcast is fucking funny!
Fascinating! Thanks for sharing your insights.
Nice to see my mic in there 😀
classic !
I must say I am loving the new format to your videos Matt!
Cheers 👍 got plenty more of these to come
Wow, you beat Gary Andersson with a 170 finish😳 I dont think you've ever mentioned that before🤔😄
Do you reckon when Ryan Searle plays MVG they ask for hairstyling tips?
Aspinall did ask Ryan Searle if he washes his hair once
@@Edgartvdarts does he? ;)
@@oldgold5848 In chip fat, probably.
He asks for an appointment by michaels wife
Matt, have you ever scored the highest checkout possible against anyone of note? 😁
I dont like to talk about it tbh lol
but there is no way that it was for the match to beat a 2 time world champion
😂😂😂 "a 170 like Edgar did against Gary Anderson" 😂😂
Always a chance to throw that in eh pal? Love it.
Great video Matt! 👍
What about the "Sorry about that, I was just in the zone"? I sometimes say in the local league if I win comfortably.
Think you normally get the sorry about that when someone bashes in a monster
HeyEdgar keep on with your ******. ****** *******. We all appreciate it
I've always thought that at the big events it must be hard to hear what anyone is saying with all that noise going on.
Surprisingly not. At events like the worlds yes cause the crowd are so close but at things like minehead you can hardly hear them
I wonder what Painter, Mardle, or Manley would say after matches.
After I won a match I normally said I got lucky , which in my case was usually true
Hi ! As entertaining and instructive as the first time I stumbled upon your vids.
One question does MVG tease the opponent after a match when he has been beaten ?
He sometimes does but with absolutely no malice what so ever he’s a bit of a joker but in a good way.
It’s hard to say really because sometime people who don’t know him would suggest other purely because they don’t know him
Ok, thanks for the answer @@Edgartvdarts
@@Edgartvdarts I've only ever met Michael briefly through an exhibition and your description of him being a joker but in a good way is exactly how I'd describe him based on that. You can never be sure as to what a player is really like until you meet them, MVG was pleasantly surprising. He was funny, entertaining and up for the laugh more than most. Very very classy too, he made time for *everyone* even when he wasn't the one playing on-stage. Just came across as an all round good guy.
You see him playing mind games in the media, saying all sorts of things and you just know he's laughing to himself about it all really. Yet some folks take that as him being too cocky or arrogant or dismissive of other players. Not his style from my experience with seeing and meeting him.

Matt, what do you say to an opponent after you have won and have you ever had to put another dart player in their place?
I normally just say thank you or well played
Dude per the thumbnail he's not Martin kleermaker 😂
What a moment
MVG gloating when costing you your tour card or using that as motivation looks bad on him. You show respect for your opponent by trying hard and then being human afterwards.
No it wasn’t like that at all. Hope it didn’t come across like that because it was no malice what so ever. Was just a light hearted interaction that we both played part in
I assume there's some bad losers who make snide remarks when they get beat?
Yeah theres some bad losers and its well known in darts which ones they are
@@Edgartvdarts Name names?
@@BadgerBotherer1… you have to be a pro / ex-pro player to know that secret squirrel information haha…
Taylor would be right up there
And Adrian Lewis lol 😂
MVG said wtf are you
Would an older player after winning against a younger player, like a Luke Littler or Josh Rock, say something like "Someday I'll be bragging how I won a match against you!"
You see it slot and the most common de brief for this is encouragement such as keep going and doing the things your doing
So, you’re a full time pundit from now on…??
Rob Cross irritating as fook, yakking on and on after every match. Can see players trying to keep it brief, do the handshakes and get gone, but there's no escaping "The Yak". Should change his nickname.
Haha he spends more time fidgeting and wiping his hand than throwing his darts
