While I don't play Yugioh anymore, these videos have been a trip down memory lane. I've watched watch all the videos so far, and I can't wait for more.
Honestly this has been my favorite Yugioh and maybe even youtube channel as of recent. I love seeing and hearing about the older formats of the game and hearing about insight from people who played in them. Keep up the good work Joe. Also I love seeing the high rarity of these decks kinda jealous, but every video has some nice flair to it cause of them.
Thanks for make a good retro atmosphere in the videos and the continue improve of the quality, glad to be teach for such amazing player and one of my favorites of all time. Keep it up Joe!
I got back into GOAT format recently which led me to you, and I'm very glad it did. This was eloquent and well done. I look forward to more, especially if they're about decks from around this period.
My last NAWCQ was Nekroz/BA format. Besides that I attended one YCS during Zoodiac format. The vast majority of my playing career is pre-2014 (and I started in 2003). So the majority of profiles will span that time period. The furthest I really plan on going is HAT Format. I cannot speak in depth on newer formats (at least not yet).
Wow- I really enjoyed this. This was just about the time I started playing and I remember thinking the same thing when I had my Blue Eyes and DM decks like "why would they play these cards? what does this deck even do?" Nice trip down memory lane. You're so well spoken that it's incredible soothing to listen to you talk- likely about anything. I look forward to more videos! And a cube night sometime in the future? Let's!
Love the videos Joe! They've inspired me to go back and build every noteworthy deck in this games history. It'll be a long process but I'm definitely looking forward to it
My favorite deck of all time, and my favorite archetype of all time! T's 2006-2007 run was insane... had what, 6 Jump Tops, a Jump win just in that time frame? Dude was a titan in early Yu-Gi-Oh.
Seeing these shiny cards in your deck profiles is usually very pleasant, so the post errata DMoC kinda hurt, not gonna lie. Another good video though, keep up the great content!
Big fan all the way back from the beginning man! Remember reading your featured duels on Konami’s blog while at collage. Please try and do some old school duels. Hit up billy I’m sure he would be down!
I just wanted to say that I really enjoy your content. My friends and I mainly play September 2011 (YCS Columbus Format) will you do a video about this format in the future?
Unless you're playing a book of moon (or multiples) i would still play scapegoat since its the only way to avoid losing to ryu senshi/jinzo/heavy plus big damage. Me and my friend started playing this format irl like 2-3 years ago and we were both playing machine beatdown. I started without scapegoat while he did play it and i quickly noticed that you lose quite often to those types of plays (especially because of brain/snatch) if you don't play the goat. I would indeed side it out versus slower decks. Both me and that friend don't play advanced yugioh anymore, but we do still like the game and older formats (even tho neither of us played competitively in 07) and playing them is a really fun thing to do with your old yugioh friends when you hang out. Loving this series as i am a retro format nerd. Keep it up!
So - if you activate Scapegoat - and I cannot kill you right then - I am going to leave the Goats on the board. You have no comfortable way to remove Goat tokens - especially if Jinzo is on the board (you basically need to Brain or Snatch Jinzo - tribute for Mali/Dasher and use Torrential).
@@YGOHistory well, at least you'll have that turn to try something. You can make the play you mentioned. Depending on the cards/deck youre playing you can summon snipe hunter, play lightning vortex, future/overload (which would be protected by their jinzo) and some others. Even if the goats are just sitting there isnt too bad. Its not a perfect card but i like it quite a lot.
@@YGOHistory i meant sniping their monsters to get rid of the threats. Sniping your own goats would indeed be miserable lol unless that would win the game
Are you going to any yugioh events? Like nationals when we start back. I’ve been wanting to meet you and see if you’d sign my 1st ed Italian rabbits 😅😅
I actually started playing again around January - got my nationals invite about a month before COVID really took off. I WAS planning on going to Nats this past year - so in short - eventually!

I appreciate the kind words! And yes, I am VERY lucky to have had these cards for ages before the crazy spikes.

I actually teach HS psychology - so I get to practice public speaking every day!
Also - maybe cube content for post COVID

Joe: "We weren't running any of the lvl 5s"
Cyber Dragon: Am I a joke to you
On a serious note amazing video!
Opps I cannot believe that one slipped my mind!
lol

Check my DAD Return profile. You will see my French IOC DMOC. I agree. I needed the upgrade and made it after this profile.
Theerasak Poonsombat was the man.
Indeed!

@@DarkVoidTG I think I meant more in the context of this deck. Snipe on your own Goats sounds miserable.

@@DarkVoidTG But I am not touching your Goat tokens until I can OTK you. Snipe attaching for 1500 is not enough.

January 2020*
T hero was definitly a crazy deck. You should do DAD Return
100% on the list.
Hey joe, just curious where the name “T-hero” comes from. Why the T?
The creator of the deck (Theerasak Poonsombat) was nicknamed T.
History of Yugioh would have been so much more fun if meta and tsuk were at one throughout the years.
In modern YGO too? Would they even be used?
great video! btw gatling is another lv8
Indeed it is! I think I thought I was holding Dragun - which I meant to include.
Maybe im just dumb but what does that "T" in "T Hero" stand for 🤔
The creator of the deck (Theerasak Poonsombat) was nicknamed T.
@@YGOHistory Makes sense, ty 👍
I want a Last Turn and Gladiator Beast profile lol
So if/when I get more CP Bestiaris - I will! I only have one. Last Turn was never great BUT I did enjoy using the deck - so maybe!
@@YGOHistory looking forward to your new content amigo...
When was Thousand Eyes banned?
September 2006.
@@YGOHistory thank you!
Why was it called T-Hero?
The designer of the deck was Theerasak Poonsombat (nicknamed T).
Isn’t Gatling dragon lvl 8 tho?
Yes. 100%. I think my brain thought I was holding King Dragun
