Frederique Constant makes amazing timepieces, but I really wish they scaled down their sizes just a tad bit. If this watch was a 39-40mm with 20mm lugs it’d be exceptional.
I bought one from Jomashop after I watched your video, now I have a question about my watch, the date doesn't change exactly 12 o'clock midnight, it's around 11:40pm. Is it a individual case or it's my watch's problem? Thanks. The other thing is the edge of the dial has a small dust-like matter, it really bothers me. I'm so sad.
Jack Chen take it to a watch maker. They should be able to remove the crystal and remove the speck of dust without much hassle. Also, be very careful purchasing from Jomashop. They don’t have the greatest reputation if you look up their reviews online.
A typical watch can take up to a couple hours to change dates, so don't be too concerned about that. For the dust, I would follow SunsetSheen's recommendation and bring it to a watchmaker/repair, shouldn't cost that much.
This is a beautiful watch, something about your presentation of it and the elegance of it really popped out to me. I'm just beginning to explore the world of fine watches and I really love how beautiful this movement is in particular. Is it able to be hand-wound? I would really like to own a beautifully finished dress watch like this, but I am also very interested in getting the experience of hand-winding. It seems like a nice way to get in-touch with a watch.
I have 3 FC watches in my personal collection. I'm looking for a birthday watch for myself soon. I didn't like that model at first but it's grown on my. It's so simple which is now what is appealing to me - different from my other 2 mostly used dress watches. I like variety in my collection and the price and quality are hard to beat.
Agreed. The value in this watch is outstanding. Probably on my top 5 "most value for you money" watches out there. I can say that i like the Slimline with the moonphase alot more, but the price is almost the double. So it is hard to justify getting that one over this. Regards GAW
I have to agree with you, because of my old eyes too, but I do have to say, that I love what they've done with the date and how they designed and situated it on the dial at 6 o'clock, brilliant...
Greataffordablewatches, I am trying to make the decision between the Hamilton intra Matic or the frederique constant Slimline, the one you just review, which one would you recommend???
Hi! Both are great watches. If you don't mind the bigger size of the FC i would go with that. But the Hamilton Intra-Matic is a great watch as well. It got better size and i think it looks as good as the FC. It got a ETA 2892-A2, which is a great movement, but maybe not as "fancy" as the in-house movement in the FC. Regards GAW
Thanks man! I would go for the FC if you find it for a good price. But i know that Junghans make excellent watches. So you can't go wrong with any of them. If you are going cheap, look at the Orient Bambino V3. Fantastic watch for the money and is very similar to the FC Slimline in it's design. Regards GAW
Excellent question. The Raymond Weil Maestro watches sure looks good but they are a bit overpriced for what you are getting. It seems that most of the Meastro line have an modified ETA(2824) caliber(which is not bad by any means). With the FC FC710S4S6 you are getting an in-house movement which is really fantastic for this price range. I also think that FC is a bit more respected in the watch community for making great watches for a good price and pushing the industy forward. If you want to go down in price you can always check out the FC-306 line which comes with and SW-300 Movement(equal to the ETA 2892). But you should go for the watch you like and you think looks the best. On paper the FC in my review is far better but that doesn't mean you will like it more. Best regards
+Dentysta Statysta The FC Slimline is 11.3mm Thick. The top 3 affordable dress watches on the market today are the Seiko sarb033(11.2mm), Seiko sarb065(13.1mm) and the Tissot Visodate(12mm). So saying that a watch as thick as the Slimline can't be considerd a dress watch is completely wrong in my opinion. But there are Ofcourse thinner dress watches then the Slimline. Regards GAW
GreatAffordableWatches 100 yr old watches are half this thickness so clearly this watch is a new definition of plebeian - deeper (or should i say thicker) than ever in history lol ;D
Hi William, you have been owning this watch for more than 3 years. Is there any reliability issue on this watch?
very nice watch but where did you get it from. I only see tang clasp for this model but yours with the fc deployant is so much better.

FC now has 37mm model in Quartz. 5mm thick. Sub dial for the seconds hand. I have one. It is beautiful.

@@WatchesAndCars How about the accuracy of this watch? Thanks,
For the money I prefer the Hamilton Intramatic with the ETA 2892. The date on this one is too small for my old eyes.

great review, I'm try to decide between a brathwait, junghans, FC or just going cheap, I didn't know FC movements were in-house, good to know.

Would you get this over the Raymond Weil Maestro?

I have the same watch and it's a beautiful piece. Keeper for sure!

FC 306 Keeps perfect time not like my Rado Centrix. That's crap.
It's an in-house movement so service them is a headache for a watch at this price point
Luis YL why? Send it to the manufacturer if your local watch repair specialist can’t handle it just like any other Swiss auto watch 🤷♂️
@@jmoo876 but buying from grey market dealer is much cheaper than AD
Are you from sweden? :)
Haha yes i am. How did you know that ;)
The accent haha. I've heard it a million times here in Sweden, though you don't have one as thick as most.
Well thanks i guess :)
From your pronunciation, its very close svenglish :P haha
Gorgeous watch
Excelente relógio, Brasil ok.
It's beautiful.
Tank you, that's an awesome watch!
Thank you very much! Really appreciate it.

Whoever did the editing on this video did a terrible job. I could not watch the whole thing...got a headache from all the cuts of the video
No dress watch should be 42
