I have the 38mm version of the same watch shown on this review video. The dial looks stunning in person! The colors change from black to dark blue depending on the lighting and viewing angle. The back of the case is one of the highlights of this watch in my opinion. The back is well designed and looks beautiful.
i love that you talk about the lug to lug length not just diameter. Lug to lug makes a larger difference at least to me on wearability of the watch -- great reviews and keep them up!!
Great review of a great watch! I personally prefer the white / silver dial version because it plays beautiful with the light. For me an absolute extraordinary watch. Classic but not old-fashioned look & feel, great inhouse movement with moonphase for a price less than 3000 Euro (in Europe) is really outstanding! And at the moment you can pick them up brand new for about 2400-2500 Euros which is really great bang per buck! Definitely one of the most under-valued brands out there. I whish them good luck for the future under the Citizen brand. Many thanks Zach for showing this beauty.
The concept design of today watches is sport, but dressy, that allowed it go with formal suit or casual wear, with the 42mm dial on it match to the T shirt and jeans perfectly .
This watch looks like it tastes like dark chocolate with a hint of liqueur. I want to go see it at an AD but I'm like 85% sure I will bite it and try to eat it. Legit salivating while watching the review.
6:52 Moonphase is not due shadow of the Earth on the moon. As the moon revolves around the Earth, the area of the moon surface lit by the Sun that is seen from Earth is changing. There are shadows on Earth or on the Moon only during eclipses.
Somebody has this watch please help. I have one and when I turn to see the back at the three small cogwheels, the grey one is not tightly located and it can bump up and down along its axle. Is this normal or some mistake?
Dude...how do you do a watch review without reference number? How does that work? With so many variations we have no idea what watch this is. Whats the point?
+SamJS While you can say that, you must also realize that consumers demand larger watches these days and they have to keep it marketable to the masses. Not everyone can release 38mm watches like Rolex.
Jarrod Gill I don't see it. The Portofino uses roman numerals and moon phase at 12 with seconds at 6, also the FC uses leaf hands, unlike the Portofino.
you get what you pay for, best example can be seen with this brand. no heritage in watchmaking, faulty calibres from factory, etc etc. spend your hard earn cash on better things...
This watch is dogshit, tipical middle class pretenders who knows nothing about watches buy this kind of stuff, this is a bad copy of Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Master Ultra Thin, if you add a little money you can prob get one preown which is an amazing horological pice.
Casio sell a lot and dosent make it any good. Frederique Constant has been on bankrupt in recent time, the brand is now part of Citizen Group and isent selling much.
Casio not good? Bro, I've owned 4 digit watches and many broke and yet I've surfed huge 20-25 ft. swells in Puerto Rico and the only watch to hold its own without breaking is a Casio. We would all love a Patek but for most it is out of reach.
Do you even get the difference between watches and horological timepices? FC is a brand who pretends to be high horological but its just dogshit in a goldplated case, dont put your money into this stuff they dont hold any value, if you buy a steel Rolex or other real horological brands you always have your money there. If you dont agree enjoy your Casio and phuck off.
For a more successful distinction from the middle class pretenders which you seem so ardent to point towards I recommend a second consideration of both your spelling and vocabulary. That being said, the Jaeger is a nice watch as well, albeit with a more aggressive look.
I have this timepiece in my collection ! It is really stunning and in this budget the ratio price/quality is really good.

Just bought this today, looks even better in person!
Your thoughts still the same? cuz m thinking of buying one now since they are 1350 $ on Ebay !
hows the watch holding up?
How well are they holding up after all these years ?
*Oh my god... that is one of the most BEAUTIFUL time pieces, I have ever seen.*
*o_____O*
much like the Piaget design but only more aesthetic
i love that you talk about the lug to lug length not just diameter. Lug to lug makes a larger difference at least to me on wearability of the watch -- great reviews and keep them up!!
This video made me purchase this watch, no regrets.
Awesome, Atif! Hope it lived up to your expectations.
This also comes with a champagne dial. Very beautiful
I have the champagne dial, and it is indeed beautiful.

why didn't he mention that the movement back actually resembles moonphases. The rotor a cresent, bridge a nearly full etc.
This watch looks amazing, all until you said the magic number : 42.....
You have a 39mm version.
@@vincentdenoncin7051 oh is there?
@@harrislam Only a steel version, not a gold plated one (if i remember correctly). Frederique Constant Manufacture Slimline Moonphase FC-703N3S6B

@@tantu2395 those are everyday watches but a dress watch should be a little bit smaller and thinner I guess
A very well done watch, I think it's difficult to get the proportions right on these classic styles. A deal at $3,500.
Thanks for the review! Was one of the watches I was considering before buying a Montblanc. Nice to see this watch "in the flesh"

if it were smaller it would be better but a truly beautiful watch nontheless
Beautiful Watch, Good price and nice brand
This watch has become a great classic.
Could you review the FREDERIQUE CONSTANT Slimline Perpetual Calendar please!
I got plenty of Frederique Constant in stock. A lot of models. ALL Authentic
Not my style but stunning piece nonetheless. Thank you for the review.
Considered it but hate the fact this didn’t have a running second hand
This is a beautiful watch. Can anyone speak for the durability of their movements? I just bought one online and it should arrive tomorrow.
Stunning timepiece. If they made it in a 40 and added a second hand they’d sell twice as many of them.
Good news. They made it in 39 mm :-)

Brilliant review and watch.....you just sold one.
Nice watch. I don't like there is no second had.The moon phase and date at 12 and a small second at 6, then this would be *my watch*.
Somebody has this watch please help.

Does the blue face come in a 38mm size? I have only seen the 38mm in white.
The 42 is too big! :(
No
Very elegant Watch.
a definite score for Citizen to purchase this company.
1Sanantoniomatute what are you talking about. FC is owned by FC holding. Not Citizen.
@@robertwoods4281 Dude..Citizen bought FC.
any link to where to buy?
best among FC 👍
Please do a giveaway on this! This is literally my dream watch!
absoftitanium I bet you can answer that with a single guess.
Stunning
fantastic watch and a great review!!!!
Birthday present to myself!!!
Such a beauty...
beautiful watch
ÓTIMO ê LINDO RELÓGIO, BRASIL OK.
Amazing whatch,!!!
Is this available in rosé gold or just stainless steel?
How accurate is it?
Wow !!! Stunning but too big for me :(
The 9 on the date display is the wrong way around!
+Roelf van der Merwe The bottom half is all reversed.
Oh I see. But that's confusing. I don't like it
+Roelf van der Merwe It's true, they should have switched it on the 11 because it looks the same both ways.
My Gawd you're right
how big is your wrist?
what is callibar?
Good review
Hermoso
very very nice
It,s a beauty.
great thank you
reference number?
noise bro
the case is too big for a watch design like this!
+SamJS While you can say that, you must also realize that consumers demand larger watches these days and they have to keep it marketable to the masses. Not everyone can release 38mm watches like Rolex.
Agreed, but they were smart to also make a 38.5mm version, model FC-703N3S6B
Poor man’s Vacheron.
Sorry but isn't this just a blatant rip of IWC's Vintage Portofino?
Jarrod Gill I don't see it. The Portofino uses roman numerals and moon phase at 12 with seconds at 6, also the FC uses leaf hands, unlike the Portofino.
Jarrod Gill rip off of patek.
Emil Jimenez patek philippe 1526 r. pretty much the same design without the date/day windows. none taken.
you get what you pay for, best example can be seen with this brand. no heritage in watchmaking, faulty calibres from factory, etc etc. spend your hard earn cash on better things...
simple face in big body .. with no reasons
I'm sorry FC doesn't deserve to be in the same sentence as Patek.
The irony.
Hahaha this comment just made my night, fucking idiot.
