Vilnius to Tallinn by LUX Express | Crossing 2 borders overnight
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 14 авг 2020
- Vilnius to Tallinn on LUX Express. We travel from Lithuania to Estonia on an overnight bus, passing through Latvia. An 8 hour comfortable journey that would normally cost as little as €19 in summer.
On 1 August 2020 all borders were open and there was freedom of movement between the Baltic States. Face masks were compulsory on buses in Lithuania but not in Latvia and Estonia. Check for the latest situation before you travel.
Ticket prices vary. As per usual, the earlier you book, the more chance you have of getting cheap advance tickets. Check out the Lux Express website below.

The Lux express bus looks nice. It’s like being in an airplane with a screen to watch movies and so on. You also got a pretty good deal on that double room at the hostel. You always get good deals. 👍 Super!
Thanks. Lux Express is definitely an excellent quality service. Way more luxurious than many buses we've been on around the world! 😊. We looked hard for the cheapest private room in Tallinn as it is the more pricey capital city in the Baltics. We must like it as we've extended for a third week! 😊
i am starting your Estonia series video. i hope. your Estonia travel series will be amazing.
We hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed Estonia. It's a wonderful country. 😁 Happy travels!
Lovely sceneries and bus 🚌 I absolutely enjoy. be safe on your journey
Thank you. They are great buses to travel on.
Waw Estonia, greetings to Tallinn from Vilnius - tervitused Tallinnale Vilniusest !!!
Two great cities. We loved them both. 👍
Oh wow that hostel double room was an amazingly good deal!
Yes that place was a brilliant find. It'll feature in a Frugal Travel Costs video for Estonia that we'll put out soon. 👍
Nice tour, my new friend. Stay connected. Full support
That's very kind, thank you.
@Ed Ek This is Month 36 of our slow journey around the globe!
We've learnt to slow right down... 2018 was pretty intense, as we were travelling in Norway, Russia, South Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, China, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Iran before flying back to Oz for a family wedding.
We were pretty burnt out so had a few months chilling in New Zealand.
2019 was a bit slower: flew from Sydney to Athens then Santorini, then to Tbilisi... but it was all overland after April 2019!
We visited Georgia, Azerbaijan (oh, we love Azerbaijan!), Armenia, Turkey, the semi autonomous republic of Iraqi Kurdistan, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova and Transnistria/PMR... before getting a bus back to London from Budapest!
2020 was all about Flixbus and overland travel... bus from London to Budapest in January, then Slovakia, Krakow, Kiev & Lviv, then back to Poland on the 1st March - Warsaw & Wrocław, before heading to Kraków to meet a friend for a surprise birthday! Then the borders closed and everything slowed right down...
A1 reply wow...but then, in short so are your travels. Really amazing and recommended on many levels! Best thing is you did it all ; )
@@edek8470 Hahahha... I got carried away - I (Mandy) do tend to focus on details 😂 Your post made me realise that our new viewers won't know anything about our story or travels, so rather than reply, I decided to write and pin this comment. Hopefully that way viewers will understand why we travel so slowly and don't tend to see the tourist attractions as such :)
I wish I didn’t get so sick on coaches or I’d have loved this!
The roads are really good here and they drive sensibly so it is quite a smooth ride.
I've been wanting to visit the Baltic nations for a while now. I was thinking about taking the same route by train. Rolling through Hannibal Lector's old homeland looks like fun. Estonia is interesting to me, because of the cultural enrichment linguistic similarities. Ofcourse, I'll ride across the water to Helsinki.
Enjoy your visit to the Baltic countries. It really is awesome there. I didn't know Hannibal Lector was from there. The tourist office do not promote it. 🤣🤣 Happy travels! ~ Lee
@@FrugalTravellers Well Hannibal Lector is a fictional movie character after all.
@@Hispandinavian Thankfully. 🤣🤣
Wow love the Lada, i first thought it was a Traban like the ones in Krakow they use for the Communist tours, fantastic.
Yeh, they are great motors. We've ridden in a lot of them all across the former USSR. They seem to last forever, whatever shape they get in!
You are a kind and lively couple.Do they don't stop for Covid-19 checks at the borders 😊
There were no checks at these borders when we travelled on August 1st but it may change as cases are rising. Always best to check before you travel. 👍
@@FrugalTravellers thanks för your response 👍😊
@@FrugalTravellers wish you your channel grow faster😊
@@atifrana5470 Thank you, that is very kind. It will happen one day, slowly but surely 😃😀

Great buses. 😍
Thanks guys , think i was being super lazy , i know ive seen this video before . i think this is definatly something i can deal with
No worries. Hopefully you can get everything sorted, and enjoy your trip to Vilnius and Tallinn.
in Lithaunia we have some lada's and volga's
worst cars ever
Lada suspension is good for more bumpy bouncy roads! You ride like on a magic carpet ; )
We met a German guy in Bishkek who'd driven his Lada from Germany and all the way across the Pamir Highway & Wakhan Valley in Tajikistan... he said he'd had loads of breakdowns but everyone knew how to fix Ladas 😁😃
@Andrius Turba Lithuania We love Ladas almost as much as samovars... Lee would love to buy a Lada and drive it through the 'stans 😁
@Ed Ek There's just something about that boxy shape 😂
Exactly! Been in several..given time they'll become collectables. Ashford & Simpson, solid as a rock, comes to mind what a tune..: )
