My Audi TDI seems to be an exception. Nothing but smooth exhaust music. Barry White style!
Maybe its because it has the other engine with the different mapping. There are two tipes.. the 5gear and 6 gear. The 6gear has the "Wuuuww".

roger grau It’s a wastegate, diesels don’t need a BOV because they don’t have a throttle body, they control the flow of fuel through the injectors to alternate the power output that way. And the “pew” sound is actually the air flowing past the vanes as they gradually close due to the turbo being a VNT/VGT (however you like to call it)
Correct on the "pew" being are passing through veins as they close but wrong on the wastegate. Its one or the other the turbo will either be wastegated or be a vgt turbo. Wastegated turbos in my experience dont "pew" as you call it. Still cool none the less 😎😎

I changed the turbo in my VW Jetta 2007. Diesel. Automatic 1.9. I thought that will clear the black, grey and white smoke, and losing power. But it didnt, and i was very embarrassed to drive it, i hated my life
So the mechanic disconnected the anti shutter valve, it became brand new, never lost power even for a twinkle of an eye. Its giving service light, but thats no prob. U will love ur car. Wish u all the best

For sure!!! Exhaust smoke on TDI's are bad remaps!! I mean, until your turbo is at full spool, it can throw some, but afterwards. it's no necessary the smoke to get power! you only need to adjust you fuel to your turbo! that's all!

Should put a sticker on the back gretta repellent or we'll probably Gretna magnet on the back of these tho I had a ride in a focus 1.8 tdci I was going to buy straight piped remapped egr delete and eibach coilovers only needed a clutch flywheel wheel bearing and a sensor for 500 pounds best fun really especially with torque steer and 160 horsepower sounded like the first seat

What do I have to do to my cupra to have the same sound as the cupra turbine in the first video? I already have direct exhaust, downpipe without silencer and without FAP, peak mapping at 1.9 bar, but it doesn't make that sound, it does much less. What should I do? Put a silencer to make the turbine have more back pressure?

@@skycarphotography diésel cant use a bov because it doesnt have trohttle body (excuse my english, I can barely speak it :c)

Remove muffler, dpf, cat aside from that make sure you have TDI and it should work, but don't forget that as much as we love those diesel sounds it's not legal or recommended to do those changes. Without the cat, you are basically non-euro and polluting much more than usual, if you want to focus on sound, change exhaust on a petrol car and add a blow off valve and it should sound good without polluting that much.
