IIRC foreigners can't own agricultural land ("szántóföld"), not even EU citizens. Getting land on lease isn't easy either, even Hungarian farmers are having trouble to find land to borrow. However you can buy a house and the plot it's on like in the video. The plot above is considered construction plot and you're allowed to buy that, but that's too expensive per area for farming. So for hobby farming/gardening it's okay, but not something you can make a living off. You should also look up "tanya". These houses are far from the villages and have even bigger plots, but idk if foreigners can buy it. They are big enough for animal husbandry.

Nice video. Hope you don't have to deal with war over there. So what are the firearm laws like? I personally wouldn't move anywhere that didn't allow law-abiding citizens to protect themselves on the street.
Then don’t move to anywhere other than Yemen, Somalia, Afganistan, some areas of Pakistan and the US to some extent. Firearm laws everywhere are very restrictive. Governments want all the firepower for themselves.
@@TheWanderingInvestor Actually Czech Republic has very permissive gun laws for the EU. If you do not have a criminal record or any major mental health problems, it is a fairly straight-forward process to get a license for ownership of a semi-auto pistol for self defense. This license also also automatically grants you the privilege of carrying that pistol concealed in public.
There is no war here, the truth is that killing and destruction is only going on in the eastern part of Ukraine. It's very far from here. Air raids are a different topic, of course, but they don't shoot here. Of course, no one can see the future. In Hungary, possession of more powerful firearms is subject to a permit. It is treated very strictly, practically a privilege. No one can keep an automatic weapon at home, not even soldiers or policemen. Self-defense weapons can be kept (gas or rubber bullet versions), but these must also be authorized by the police. Of course, from time to time the weapon also has to be inspected at the designated place.... In public areas, knives and swords with a blade larger than 8 cm can only be carried in a bag or in its own case, not in a belt pocket on clothing. There is a type of knife that you cannot have at all. For example, a bowie is already in the bag category. Gas spray (pepper spray) can be used freely, taser are not allowed. Maybe there is a change, I'm not up to date, but this is about the situation. Obviously, the situation is different with illegal objects. This is not Texas where you can shoot anyone in self defense. Ok, I know that in the USA the range is very wide, from a complete ban to machine guns. This was just one example of the different practice. The truth is that you don't really need them. However, there are places where it can be useful, especially in poorer regions against thieves. You can't be in a constant fight, so you have to use diplomatic solutions, which won't work without knowledge of the language and knowledge of local customs.
My friend, if Paks explodes, the Carpathian basin will be a nuclear desert. And this is not the only nuclear power plant in the area. However, if you always expect the worst and don't trust in a better future, you can tie the rope around your neck.

,,Some parts of Bulgaria and some parts of Romania'' you are right at the border from the EU :)) . Sir , Romania and Bulgaria are part from the EU from 2007 .
but they have parts at the border of EU... :))) nothing wrong!
Is this still available or are there other similar properties that are available?
Thanks!
No clue if still available. Their number is on the video at some point.
Hungary has tons of such properties available all over the country.
@@TheWanderingInvestor O wow! Thanks for replay! Currently binge watching your videos on various investment opportunities. Thanks for content!
Can you put some chickens or any livestock there?
Yup 🐓🦃🐄🐄
@@TheWanderingInvestor Thank you. Hopefully I can get a property there soon.
Jaw dropped 😮
16000€ is not expensive. But renovation cost much-much more here. You have 2 options in eastern Hungary:
- got scammed by a bungler
- DIY
And ofc you can find good professionals but they have a pricetag.
These are not only true for Eastern Hungary.
Hlo Sir I m Farmer from India
Can I do farming agricultural land on lease
LOL
IIRC foreigners can't own agricultural land ("szántóföld"), not even EU citizens. Getting land on lease isn't easy either, even Hungarian farmers are having trouble to find land to borrow. However you can buy a house and the plot it's on like in the video. The plot above is considered construction plot and you're allowed to buy that, but that's too expensive per area for farming. So for hobby farming/gardening it's okay, but not something you can make a living off. You should also look up "tanya". These houses are far from the villages and have even bigger plots, but idk if foreigners can buy it. They are big enough for animal husbandry.
no way bro. In Hungary, if you are not super-super well connected you can't buy farmland for a reasonable price even if you are a citizen of Hungary.
Yes come, yesterday rather than now. In term you can even buy if you're income is mainly from agriculture. Lots of small plots available, as in vacant.
@@gertvanderhorst2890 that is not really the truth. also ukrainian grain is killing the farmers. Oly the enough big will survive.
Do not give him false expectations, because he will come here and starve to death
What website do you use to check on houses in hungary?
A good one is ingatlan.com. Also, Benedek acts as a buyer’s agent and can help you in the Budapest area: thewanderinginvestor.com/services/international-real-estate-services/a-buyers-agent-in-budapest-and-renovation-manager/
Brother, I want to come to Hungary, how can I get Hungary visa very easily?
Find mouth, put money there. If you are not EU national, the quickest way is come as a tourist and buy something. If you want to stay for more than 3 months you need visa, not for vacation, just keep adress abroad. If you don't steel beer from shop nobody will bother you, 90 % sure, just do not make trouble.
@@gertvanderhorst2890 Bro, can you somehow insert the tourist visa or any other way, I will pay as much as it takes, and there will be no problem, bro.
@@gertvanderhorst2890 Brother tourist visa or any visa if you can enter Hungary or any other country in Europe then I will give you the visa price bro you will not have any problem
@@gertvanderhorst2890 If you can, bro, tell me in the comments, there will be no problem. I am telling you from Bangladesh
@@Mr.Jahidul-du8rr That is absolutely not how it works. In your country of origin you have to request a visum from the Hungarian Embassy.
Is it possible to buy a property in Hungry for a person who holds Niederlassungserlaubnis in Germany ( Permanent Resident Permit ) without German Passport
Anyone can buy property in Hungary. Non EU people just have an extra step to go through (security approval) which takes 2 months or so and happens in the background. 99.9% get approved.
Bruh we don't want pajeets in Europe
Found the gun nut american!
@@Chuchu_ETV 😍
Non eu can buy that land?
How you imagined that?
Yes, if you state it's your second home and keep your residence in country of origine.

Hey why are u advertising Hungarian lands to foreignal? Its not fair that many people here cant afford to buy one , but out of Hungary the salaries are better and they just come and puchasing our land! Of we had the same salary i wouldnt mind. Othervise i dont have problem with foreignals. The young generációs are friendly with them the elder have many prejudice in their head. Guy, where are u from? Slovakia?
No Hungarian wants to live in that house anymore, so if a foreigner buys it, the owners will get some money and the house probably some renovations (work for local laborers) etc.
@@user-wt2ip3bo3t I dont know. Its not abour the owners its about the other Hungarian who could buy it but they dont have money for it cause the government keep down the prices. Which country are u from? Would u like if foreignals keep buying house there and u and ur people werent able?
@@kamillaerdos7636 I just dont believe many Hungarians want to move to 1km from the Ukrainian border. They want to move to Budapest or to Germany/Netherlands/France where there are jobs and cultural life. That house in the video would just rot and collapse if no foreigner bought it.
@@user-wt2ip3bo3t And whats about those Hungarian people who love this country and want to live here? Not everyone like to live in different country.
@@kamillaerdos7636You can’t control what people want to do though. If a foreigner wants to buy a house in Hungary, they can and there’s nothing you can legally do about it.

That's why we don't have diversity. We don't need the african doctors, or middle eastern engineers. UK and west can have it.
Yes it is, racism is skyrocketing since we see how islamization ruining the west and the gypsy prime minister the country.
not more and not less than in any other country. Hell of a lot more in the USA, Italy, Austria, Romania, Greece.
