Thanks for the tips. Unfortunately here in Australia, we don't have many brick-and-mortor shops, that sell pipes. In fact I think there might only be two in the whole country that sell decent pipes. To get a hold of estate pipes, one needs to hunt for them in antique stores. That leaves us to online buying. In fact I recently bought a DB Apple from you which I am awaiting to arrive. Very much looking forward to it. I trust it will be a great smoker given you have restored it.
Oh the Commander Apple, I remember. You're gonna love it's grain :) Hah, didn't know that about Australia. I did hear quite a lot about some harsh laws against tobacco. A sad thing that is, equaling pipes with tobacco and electronic cigarettes
This is a great help and comprehensive advice to fans of estate pipes 😊Thank you Mike 😊 PP&M is my first stop to find great estate pipes 👍👍 Have a happy Easter Mike with family and sunshine too😊😉💨💨💨
@@ppm5556 I got it in record time and it is a fascinating pipe ! Peterson makes a Dracula pipe but…the pipe maker in England did it before them. I’ll make a video for Walpurgis night at the end of April. I’ll try to find more about the origin if its possible. It smokes very well and its a very nice rare addition to my collection. Thanks Mike and have a lovely Easter 😊😉
