wow, amazing job there. Thank you so much for this info and cool video
Thank you for the great feedback. Makes it all worthwhile
Thanks for mention my add-on! Great video!!
Aww man: you are most welcome. Its a great mod. Your work is greatly appreciated. I don't use many but yours is a must have
Thanks, Puke. Good job.
You're more than welcome. I did a mobile farp as well (just as a joke - it doesn't actually work) ruclips.net/video/XwYLobQmDGY/видео.html
Excellent! Thanks!
You're most welcome
Fantastic job! Just one minor concern--can you clear off the foliage growing through the runways? I'd hate be bushwhacked by a bush when I try to take-off in my Harrier! 8)
Lol. Sadly not...and thank you for the message
Hey! Thx for this vid, but i try it online, my buddy started a server and the textures are not loading in, only the 476 range target's mod is visible. What is going wrong?
Hi. I don't really do much mp however I would assume that the mods need to be in both the server and the client
Is there a way to make the whole FARP into a template so i can use it in multiple places and add to all my missions ?
Sadly I don't think there is. You can save it as a template and add to any mission......but not in multiple places....which sucks.
Yes, through the import feature of RotorOps. 😎
Very cool video! I don't get why ED have not added airports as placeable objects. That would make it possible to use the ww2 maps for modern operations and in general be much more flexible in designing missions. Just a simple runway with some minimum taxi ways would be so usefull.....
I get the feeling that it's in the pipeline...the matting was created by sunstag who I think has done the South Atlantic map...and they have disappeared from his download area...and im pretty sure the new hms invincible is reaps mod but Ed should definitely get a lot more. Another one I like are the civilian aircraft mod with ai 747s a380s etc
I downloaded the miz file from Massun92's template, but how do I use it and access the units?
Once downloaded you need to browse to saved games\DCS.OpenBeta (or just DCS)\Mods\Tech and put the extracted Massun92-Asset Pack into there. When you restart DCS you will have the assets in your static objects. Some people use mod managers but I don't bother so cant advise on how to use those
@@Pukin-Dog Isn't miz just a mission file? It's extractable? Or am I downloading the wrong files...?
@@kellymcguire1385 Sorry I didnt twig that you said MIZ...Yes a MIZ is just a mission file but the Massun Asset pack is a rar file not a MIZ. The MIZ is his template so you need the RAR file (when you click the asset pack option) and extract that as I said earlier). Once you have the asset pack installed then the MIZ file IS a normal mission so put it in your missions folder and open it as a normal mission
@@Pukin-Dog Ah got it now, thanks a lot!
@@kellymcguire1385 You're most welcome
i just wish we could put down dirt roads and stuff. I make some great looking sam sites but if i could add roads where it looks like it’s being used it’d be a nice cherry on top. The only difference in sites I build and real world ones is the tire tracks in between facilities
Thats a great idea
I'm familiar with a FOB (forward operating base) never heard of FARP looks same same to me
FARP is a Forward Area Refuelling point.........though this vid actually shows a FOB. FARPS are a lot smaller and are just for refuelling and rearming. They would not be semi permanent nor have accommodation areas. I did put FOB and FARP in the description but not the title - now corrected.....and thanks for watching!!!
Excellent. Could you go over how to install a mod. thanks
Instructions normally come with the Mod.....but typically you download and extract them and either 1) put them into SAVED GAMES> DCS.OPEN BETA (or JUST DCS)> MODS then either AIRCRAFT, SERVICES or TECH.....FARP stuff would normally go in TECH........OR 2) you can use a mod manager like OVGME.....but I have never used those so cant give any details on how top use them Im afraid.
How do you save this as a template?
Is your question how to create your own template....of do you need a copy of my template? If the former you go to edit and save static template from the ME main menu. If the latter I can upload it for you
@@Pukin-Dog both would be great. How do you select all the units (CTRL - A or click/drag doesnt work)
@@VincentSmit Press LSHIFT+LCTRL to highlight units and then CTRL+C then CTRL+V sometimes it misses one unit if already selected...slightly odd behaviour. to actuially create a template go to edit>save static template. Link to my mision is here....it's a mission file not a template file.....but you will need all those mods for it to work www.dropbox.com/s/584irzupi15bui2/FARP%20Tutorial13.miz?dl=0 let me know once you have it as it wont stay forever
@@Pukin-Dog downloaded it! thanx! will try this
Direct Safety Violation (DSV) for moving a weapon with the jammer without someone walking along holding it steady. Lol.
I'm not sure anyone could walk alongside when ripping around at 30mph lol
@@Pukin-Dog I've never seen a Jammer go that fast. You must have a special hot rod version. 🤣
What's a farp?
Re my previous reply - this is more of a FARP scontent-man2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t39.30808-6/268453281_133250785774079_7222660552086930148_n.jpg?_nc_cat=107&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=bcc5cc&_nc_ohc=Thth9p02FHEAX-Yol2-&_nc_ht=scontent-man2-1.xx&oh=00_AfDj_aESiS5fHqm7hAetjYaoMM556fYxGV1w14pPZHX-6g&oe=6512483C
