Well it's designed to be multiplayer, multi airframe as I am doing it for a private server. We have players who fly the F15 and Viper as well as Hornet and Harrier. It would be better to be Harrier and Hornet only so we could make it carrier based but I will have the other aircraft coming from Tinian

and it could be modified to be SP

Once the mission is finished we will play it on Kittyhawks server.

A-10s and Apaches are utterly lethal....sadly to friendly units lol. It was a lot of fun. And as for GCI - thank you...it's hugely important and any GCI is always appreciated!!!

@ yeah the launcher 3d model. Along with the MWIKS and land rovers in the pack.

@@Jinxy-Gaming Well there was three thinks which struck me about this mod....1) How effective the SAM was 2) the smoke trail as it leaves the launcher is a bit off 3) How damned good the model was - particularly the launcher.

It's a brilliant module...but I have to admit your decision makes sense. It could break at any time. I love the Viggen IRL but in DCS it's a bit limited...you have to love it for me to recommend it. The A-10....it's still a "bit limited" in terms of it's CAS/BAI only...but it carries a much wider array and quantity of weapons and is a very detailed module. It is slow though.

@@Pukin-Dog I never heard of Viggen IRL but it caught my attention in DCS. Mainly interested in ground pounders since I am afraid of skill celling for AA and don't want to do PVP. Variety of A10 and its gun is what attracts me to it. Really wish that there was not dispute with harrier dev, not sure if ED would do a refund or allow another module to be selected if Harrier breaks at some point.

Yeah this is CA in DCS...on the Contention PvP server. Haha - the F-16 sure it pretty...sorry I had to shoot it up.

I think public pressure did assist in getting (most of) Massuns Assets into core so who knows.

I often use my own triggers to improve things....but there are limits to what you can do....esp in MP

Yup. Only if you do IFA . However if you are airborne when you start IFA it takes 10 minutes. If you start IFA on the ground its 2-3 minutes. I turn to gyro first for 20 seconds to spin those up and give me a basic compass reading on the HUD. You can do IFA in the Viper and Hornet too...but it's not as quick.

@@kittyhawkdcs You can be airborne in 50 seconds.. If you are not pre-aligned, you can be fully aligned and ready to navigate and fight after 3 min.

Thank you. Contention is far from perfect but it's by far the best public PvP server I have found. Being persistent is great, games usually last well over a week. I wish that there was a bit more variety of missions on it. Essentially the aim is to capture all the airbases and FARPs so you primarily need CAP, SEAD and ground attack. It would be great if they could add side missions like CAS etc.

It's the contention server. I mostly fly the Harrier...but also the chinook and CA.

If carrying 10 Mk82s the Viper needs afterburner to keep up.....which it cant do for very long of course. It's radar isn't worse than the Vipers...it has no radar.....but were talking about ground attack and in DCS not IRL. The number of bombs isn't what makes the Harrier so good. It's mostly the sensors, specifically it's TPOD and FLIR Hotspots. The weapons are just a bonus, specifically LJDAM and APWKS.

I dont really fly it tbh. That said it's clearly a great module but like most of my modules they catch dust and I have never really learned it. When it came out I learned Mavericks and that's about it really. I have to say though that this was a lot of fun....it's like an oil tanker in regard to it's manoeuvrability, but it makes you think and plan.
