Drivers don’t quit companies, they quit dispatchers.
Sure how are you doing
Agree
🎯
True I left my favorite company ever bcuz of dispatch
Facts!
This why you always call the shipper . Not the dispatcher
The brokers hate that ..they ll rush you till 2-3 pm .. call the shiper , they open till 5 - 7 pm .. good by lunch .
Exactly but some shippers never answer (red flag) so we roll the Dice 🎲 and pull up. 😝
Hello
@@eugeniujosanu279 how are you doing
Some companies where I'm from don't allow us to call the shipper directly, it sucks
That last part “I gotta caller I’ll call you right back” is so accurate 😭💀💀
💯 nothing a good kick in the teeth can't fix
you know as soon as they say that they arent calling you back
you end up wasting another day..they dont call back either.
I work in receiving in a big warehouse, we are always full on space on the floor. A driver shows up a day early, I have asked them to wait over night before and we will unload them the next day. Because we can’t physically get the gear in the shop, at that moment.
All the arguments and complaints I have gotten from drivers, because they can’t stick to schedule (at least that was my thought before this) maybe it was there dispatch rushing them.
the check is in the mail as well. and do't worry, I'll take care of you.
You left out the dispatcher eating a sandwich, drinking a soda and watching his favorite soap opera while doing this.
I am a new independent dispatcher with in depth training. I would do my best to NEVER let this happen or at least minimize to a rarer occasion. I would ask a fuck load of questions (the right questions), my job is to make a Carriers life easier PERIOD!!! no exceptions. Those guys work way to damn hard and TRUCKING is NOT for the weak. I salute 🫡 these Guys because they are very much needed and the 2020 open my eyes to it even more. I decided to go this route (dispatcher) to start out numbering the candy asses of dispatching. I am a working progress and studying everyday along with gaining understanding of what truck guys go through. Respect ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼✊🏻
How is it going @weldonhealth
As a dispatcher for 3 years. I can assure you this is true
Where did the dispatcher go wrong
Rookie move....never believe those dispatchers..when they say they'll load you the second you get there...that's a damn lie! They never do.
Don’t leave it up to dispatch, call yourself and verify.
You so swole no dispatcher can ever make you skip lunch 😂
They're going to load you Tuesday just chill... can't stay on site though so come back at your appointment time Tuesday at 4:00 when they're closed
Thats about right. Bunch of theves
Great comment!! lol
That is the exact reason I make sure to bring food with me
I never realized people lied so much until I became a truck driver!
this video is very accurate i’ve been in this situation many times
THAT is exactly how it goes with the brokers. Do not believe a word they say. I literally refuse to talk to them. I communicate with the shipper ONLY! And the shipper does not minds
Ive I heard that one so many times over the last 29 yrs can't tell how many times they got mad at me for breaking out the bbq 😆
Gotta eat
Lmao, 🤣 I would have hundreds of dollars if I can tell you how many times this has happened to me oh the good times lol 😆 and they always made sound good too. "Oh i called them and you're next to get loaded lol 😂
Johnny you fired """"""""
That delay eats up our HOS
Yeah problem is ,they could careless until it effects them directly.
@@jeffkenyon483 ain't that the f***in truth

This is why you put mandatory sit fees in your contract. $100 per hour for idle time. They will never have you sit ever again.
As a shipper, if it's your dispatchers fault, we will make you wait. Especially if you are rude. We had a guy scream at our yard girl one time, that's not a good move when it's a bunch of equipment mechanics working 10 feet away. That dude almost got knocked out, only thing that stopped it was the service manager running out there and banning him from our site. We made him back his truck out onto a feeder road, wouldn't let him in the gate. The dude was upset that she didn't load him before another guy who went into the office first and got his paperwork squared away. We won't load anyone until paperwork is done and signed
Welcome to my world. One of my favorite cuss words is "planners", because they can't do math and you pay the price.
They plan via what the GPS says and not real time taking into rush hour traffic construction or accidents etc 😆
Hello 👋 dear
@@kmelodiq6403 dude I swear that's how they do it because I'll be in the middle of a load and I'll get another one that's impossible to get to on time unless I drop Trailer and start heading directly to the new one they sent. Also with the not realizing how much time I even have left on the clock
Eh, the dispatcher just relays information. Sometimes he's given incorrect info too.
It’s the dispatchers responsibility to verify the information is accurate, otherwise they aren’t doing their job.
@@clintonkirker5154 and when the dispatcher double checks and the broker insists the delivery is for 8 but you get there and the receiver says the appointment was for 6, you still blame the dispatcher?
@@vendingdudes of course not. however when the broker lies, they need to be fined. Everyone from our own company to the broker and customer can waste our time without fear of a fine, but let us be late once and shit rolls down hill.
In many cases it is not the dispatcher.... It is the communication between the customer and the CSR and the planner
Right the dispatcher cant control or know every tiny detail of the broker
In 38 years as a "ROAD" driver I've found that most dispatchers are liars. If you get a good one you'll do anything to stay with them !
What makes a good dispatcher
@@raphaelspears7080lmk too
@@raphaelspears7080one that used to drive.
Dispatchers lie more than lawyers do in this industry.
Politicians have everyone beat though.
Dispatchers are the biggest liars in the business 😆
Watching this waiting to be unloaded 12:45 and still counting
6 months since this comment was posted but I assume you’re still waiting to be unloaded?
Its been 7 months, are you still waiting?
As a used to be dispatcher I can tell that so many drivers miss their time that its better to bring you earlier and whait, then have a brain tumor of getting you out.
"That is what it says..." That is all the dispatcher can do
“I got another call, I’ll call u back.” They never call back*
I was once in a situation where the receiver had closed and my dispatcher had no clue and didn’t tell me. I arrived 5 minutes too late and the receiving manager told me I was too late take the load back. So I hung around for a few minutes and the dispatcher said they would ‘work on it’. Well, before too long the forklift driver saw I was still there and said ‘hey how long can you wait?’ I said, I can hang out for a bit.’ They ended up unloading me. Persistence pays off and sometimes you just have to be your own best advocate.
I think being Dispatch is a bit tough. I did Dispatch for Zacky Farms and it was a full dynamic role. You have to be able to multi-task, have a great memory and be part psychiatrist.
So true, when I was pulling a box van this happened more then I can count. Then I switched to flatbed and 9 out of 10 times I don't have to wait to get loaded or unloaded.
And 99% of shippers and receivers keep bank hours... I love flatbeding
And this is one more reason why I switched from dry van to tanker
That's why I always call the shippers give them the PO and they'll let you know when will be ready so you don't have to go over there and wait they don't always know what they're talking about when they say it's ready
As a receiver, thank you. And if you're the type to call ahead, even more so. You guys being great at communication means less headaches for me. I wish dispatchers were better but I appreciate yall picking up the slack.
My boss thinks it's weird I go out with 2 bottles of water and let drivers know they're free to use our facilities when they first get here even though they rarely need to or even need the water. But I've seen the difference between the average driver, and the ones that go the extra mile. I want the better drivers again in the future.
I think they know. They just want to make you wait. Paying your dues they call that.
@@mikesully52 absolutely. Give me a call. I'll look up your pickup number. Figure out your exact appointment time. And let you know if we can work you in early or not. But 10/10 If you walk up to my window begging to be loaded early because you "didn't know" your appointment time. I'm not doing you any favors. Unless you are one of my regulars. I go the extra mile for them. Lol just a fyi
@@dnmoscato92 i don't mind trying to take care of their loads if I can, but they all know if they show up early it's a roll of the dice and if we can't, they'll have to come back the next day. They started calling ahead recently, now if only I could get the broker to send my info to new drivers...
Lol! It’s funny but ANNOYING DISPATCH DOOOOO BEEEEE WASTING YOUR TIME! And don’t let your manager change often, it gets worse and worse, then a good (once in a blue moon) manager comes and you get spoiled then they leave and back to bad!
ET you are a breath of fresh air in this hard industry! I see a truck in the Windsor area in Connecticut (USA)and want to pull over so bad and say hi. I know they are sleep, but just to see ET Transport in the states makes me happy! God bless you all and safe travels!
Hello I’m really impressed with your comment, if you don’t mind friendship please were are you from?
I have been at the shipper for 9hours I had to drop the box and bobtail home due to drive time
One of the reasons I no longer do refer work is because of this. 9 hours you say? Try two days.🤬
I've been in that situation before. I love it when you get to the shipper or the reciever early then when they get you into the dock. " It's gonna take about 6 hours to unload you". " Ok can I sleep here tonight"? "No".
@@HaulingDonkey yes. Game stop warehouse. They had to unload by hand cos the package are in pieces. I drop the box they said i can can't sleep in their facility
Hurry up and wait.
As a new upcoming dispatcher this post has helped me alot didn't know people sucked that bad at this job can't wait to do it right
Can't remember the last time I was able to sit down have lunch and not be driving.
Truck drivers need a new regulation stating time limitations for the dispatchers to do their part, if those time limitations are exceeded there should be a fine for the dispatcher and a bonification for the truck driver.
Stop speaking to people, go talk with them pockets...
Yup been there Several times with Swift. That's why I don't drive for them anymore. I remember one load in particular...was supposed to pick up a load on a Fri afternoon and when I got there the shipper had already closed and ended up sitting until Mon
Same 4 me but I asked security if I could drop trailer and return early Monday. He agreed and I BT to Vegas 😎
Yup that's terrible.
Now that is just fucked up.
Swift left my wife in Oklahoma her trainer dropped her off at a hotel while she went to Thanks giving with her family. I had to go in my car to get her.
@@dnmoscato92
I've had that happen several times with difrent company's or they have you running 1 or 2 hundred miles in the east. They punish you if they think you don't show them respect. They are the master. I no longer drive a truck.
I have been done this way so many times. Brokers and dispatchers will tell you anything to get you to commit to the load
Dont go cinci 😂
You make your own way. Dont rush, you work on your time
Hell yeah. Exactly!
This is why i now hire dispatchers to work for me and make sure they treat drivers with respect..😎
I've been down that road, many times before.
keep putting up with it..youll keep getting it
I just did a "local" California Safeway.... Took 7 hours to load me, 3 hours driving, 8 hours to unload! What a disaster.... That is why we have sleeper for local
Hello 👋 dear
🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
Dispatch got me fked up twice. 1am in the morning and he told me it’s opEn 24/7 , got there it was close
“Johnny the Dispatcher” seems to have a history of lying to his drivers. 🤔
This is load brokers too. Can’t believe a word that comes out if their mouth
😂😂
I ain't afraid of no ghost. Per/hr . #OneLifeToLive #DaysOfOurLives
Hello 👋 honey ❣️
That is literally not up to the dispatcher, that is up to the shipper just being shitty. You get detention/layover which is extra money
As a truck dispatcher I can say They literally don't know the struggles of a dispatcher 😂
Shippers lie to brokers, brokers lie to dispatchers, and dispatchers lie to drivers.
You did this so well
Happens all the time. I just put in my 2 weeks. Heading to landstar.
Been there a lot of time THANKS CHR!!
The problem with calling the shipper or receiver is that more often than not it seems you can't get anything more than an automated message telling you to dial the extension of who you're trying to reach with shipping and receiving not even being an option.
Hello I’m really impressed with your comment, if you don’t mind friendship please were are you from?
They say dispatchers aren’t needed but a dispatcher is providing a service like a barber does, sure you can cut your own hair or you can pay someone to cut it for you, not all dispatchers are bad.
This is why I called places myself. Never trust dispatch .
Old dude is jacked for a trucker. Good for him
Hey guys ،do you recommend to buy a used truck now or wait because I see prices are going down ,anybody?
Great question! As someone who's thinking of getting into trucking, im curious about this myself.
It’s not going to be ready until 4….translation:
May as well go off duty and climb into your sleeper because we won’t load you until tomorrow. Hopefully there’s a gas station within walking distance where you can get some snacks and a coffee. We com in at 6 and start loading at 7.
Lol. Big facts. Drive to the nearest truck stop and take your 10 because some warehouses won’t let you park there. The life!! Lol
But why is this dispatchers fault as said in the video the company said it closes at 2pm, he just passed the info.
I so know that feeling, why I keep a ton of food in truck.
they be LYINNNN
That’s exactly how it is. A good company will compensate for lost drive time.
Lol "wild flamingo"
This old man is friggn stacked. Definitely nice muscles
The trucking mantra Hurry up and wait
Hello I’m really impressed with your comment, if you don’t mind friendship please were are you from?
Thank you for the feedback to dispatchers, not acceptable, please more respect to the business and our drivers
Hahahah I really think that Jonny is my dispatch 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 they are the same
The accuracy. The biggest issue drivers have is dispatch.
Yep that brings back so balanced memories
Old dudes jacked
My dispatcher, two brothers, drives also. They know what it is instead of some moron who sits behind a desk and couldn't give a shit about the driver, dispatch goes home at x amount in the day while the driver is out of hours
With modern I Phones you could actually have two people in the truck ..one doing self dispatch directly liasoned with client in real time..take turns driving
That's one reason I always try to communicate directly with the customer after I've received the dispatch info. Especially with customers I've never been to before. My last load went to a high security military base, and after communicating directly with the contacts provided that my dispatch couldn't get a hold of, I found out they wanted me there a day later. They couldn't offload the equipment until these contractors/inspectors were available. Saved me and dispatch a headache.
This is too accurate
Damn that old dude is JACKED. You better stop playing with him Johnny
Sounds about right 😂
Thats just a whole lot of "BOO HOO, POOR ME".....
The classic "I've got another call coming in" line lol

Hello 👋 dear
Youre the fuckin man Dean!
Spot on!
Communication in the trucking business is almost nonexistent
That s what the broker tells the dispatch.. call the company to finde out the proper h, the broker get s mad you called them .. what a pikle , he got cought lying and he s the one getting mad
Truckers built like superman
Dispatchers are professional liars set between the driver and the company as a barrier.
