Lol thanks for liking it and wanting a second part, but it's simply not going to happen. This little film cost several thousand dollars to make, and around 3-5 months to create. I had the intention of making this short seem like it was an episodal thing, and I'm glad you want a part 2, but I have moved on to other things. Of course if you made a kickstarter for me, sure I'd do it, but I'd want to pay everyone for their time etc, so we'd be looking at 5-10k. It's crazy aint it?
Of course I might be able to make that back in youtube ads, but then I'd break even, for 1/4 of my years work. That's if I make around 10 million views. Anything less is a loss. Essentially this costs me money, and gives me very little chance at making any. Kinda soul crushing, I left the film industry after working on some big end stuff soon afterwards. Now I'm in the CGI field, it's much nicer in certain ways, namely, the ability to have a skill, instead of just delegating tasks all the time. You have no idea how much of this film was simply organising people to show up at the same time. I prefer being able to create without needing a team of 15 people to do it. Who cares though, this comment is a year old, so you'll probably never read this. But my family and I do enjoy looking back at this film and smiling. It was a nice time to be alive, and it gives me nice memories. But cost wise, this fails when compared to someone just twitch streaming them playing a game online. Seriously, they'll out earn me hehehe *cries*

Being a zombie nerd since I was a kid, and having just finished both of Max's books, I just wanna say that this film makes me happy. The humor works well, and the texture of the video looks like a 50's or early 60's propaganda piece. Awesome on a several levels.
The best weapon to choose is the M4 Carbine. Its fast, easy to reload, and is a semi-automatic weapon conserving ammo very well. Also I would choose the AA 12 Shotgun. Those who have never heard of this weapon look it up. Its epic!
Great job! One thing I'd suggest if taking this to a more professional level would be to work on de-interlacing some of the footage. While the post processing does a good job of mimicking an old film, the interlacing gives it away.
Depends on what kind of outbreak. The T-Virus in RE caused the zombies' muscle to deteriorate greatly, and reduced their ablility to run, or greatly enchanced their muscles (Crimson Heads) and increased their speed. In L4D, the "zombies" were still human, but they had been infected with rabies, and thus still retained the full body capabilites of a human (AKA ran like athletes).
heres a tip for my personal melee weapon of choice would be a long crowbar or a long survival axe, both are effective and can used for a variety of other uses such as shelter building, as well as breaking and entering.
For close range combat, you want either a melee weapon or a fully automatic weapon. For ammunition conservation, semi-auto is the way to go. Throw weapons like pipe bombs and molotovs are effective as well. For maximum chance of survival, keep the following: M14 Suppresed, 5 Molotovs, 8 fragmentation explosive devices, 12 Gauge Automatic Shotgun, Just (a shotgun in the form of a pistol), Five-SeveN Pistol, plus bolt action rifle. On top of it all, keep a nice sharp or blunt object handy.
there are a few things wrong with the few tips general. the FAL is very hard for a civilian to find, but shotguns such as 12 gauges have a good range and common among many house. And forest have hazardous places, cemetarys can have zombies from open graves and cascets. and old houses can have brittle wood and openings for them to get in

And since they are already rotting away, im pretty sure you could defend yourself with a baseball bat, if you knock them down, they wouldnt know how to get back up. thats what I was thinking, also I was thinking about desert compounds, I know places where there are abandoned air field and landing strips and also the dried up lake beds provide excellent landing for small aircraft like helicopters and Cessna style airplanes. There are a few towns around without a lot of people and my friends and myself have drawn up crude plans which involve vehicles like semis, cop cars, heavy vans, mail trucks, tow trucks and small scout vehicles. I'm ok at hot wiring cars

Most zombie movies show that they have human-like capabilities, so, using the only reference we have about zombies, I suppose they will have hearing capabilities.

@DeidaraKatsue Malls are probably one of the WORST places to hideout, as there are SO many zombies always lurking nearby malls. Although there may be weapons and whatnot, you might as well not have any weapons at all if you get overwhelmed by the horde. On top of that, it's pretty hard to secure it. There are usually many multiple entrances to malls, as well as there's usually a LOT of ground to secure. Unless you have a huge team, it's really not a good idea to hide in a mall.
Hurricane Katrina is a perfect example of an emergency out of control and everyone trying to get out of the one place in cars. Total chaos and massive traffic jams for miles. If you put zombies into that mix, the roads would be a death trap.

Shelter: Autoshop/Maintenance room/Repair room, Gas Station, And Walls. Now with the Repair room, You could Craft alot of things :/
