    Something about this ship just grabs me. I really like the design, color, lights, just everything. I want a physical model of this ship.

    The Shashura. A beautifully designed ship, A black ops stealth cruiser designed to get in gather it's intelligence and get out before anyone even knows they are there. It most likely has enough firepower to get itself out of trouble if things go wrong and evade pursuit. I would say the shuttle bays has several 2 man scout ships for close recon details and several squad sized shuttle craft for black ops missions. If anything captures the essence of a romulan warship, then this is it.

    WOW! This Romulan design and the name is as good as anything the film makers would do.
    The 'feathers' at the rear may be dampeners to mute any engine emissions.

    I think this one looks even better than the Winged Defender. The attention to detail is superb. The bird motif is so perfect with this one! I love it, and would like to have it for my fan art work!
    Thanks for showing this one guys!

    Bravo this is over the top good. If I saw a swarm of these decloaking I would drop fbombs while running for the weapons station. I think the blade design is likely for atmosphere.

  • @jamesaron1967
    @jamesaron1967 4 года назад

    Better looking than any official Romulan ship I've seen on screen by far. There's a lot of talent out there that isn't being utilized by production studios, that much is obvious.

    My theory is the "feathers" alter the warp signature size akin to the USS Voyager/Intrepid-class to reduce warp impact on near by space, which would also make it a little harder to detect.

  • @HyperReport

    I get the feeling that the green lights for this, and other ships (red, blue, etc....), are actually heat exchangers. By emitting light, it would keep the reactor system cool. :)

    All the little thin fiddly bits could, in addition to being cool looking, be a passive heat dissipation system to deal with the extra heat generated by the new cloaking system.

  • @Twitchguy
    @Twitchguy 3 года назад

    I think it’s totally believable that the Romulans would build ships like this!
    You could call the feather like tips sub space antenna like they used on the marauder in enterprise since spying is there thing all the time.
    Using the overall bird thing plays right into them using intimidation for so much. This ship screams fear us!

    Why is it that fans make the best plots and props for Star Trek...its like the writers and pro makers aren't fans(don't care to put much thought or effort into) of what they do!?...

    I like the TNG era ships, and the Romulan ships and Jem Hadar. The glowing Green is the Tachkyon Resenence that assists with the cloaking process.

    Really excellent design, 2nd only to the D'deridex. The only thing I'd change are the warp engines. I'd put them under the body and have them trail off into the tailfeathers. Make them longer and more substantial. The spot they currently occupy could be filled with disruptors.

    In general I love the ship. Minor things that they might think about changing would be to forget the roll bar and just connect the pods and nacelles directly to the upper wings. The roll bar just feels off to me from the rest of the look of the ship.

    Guys you're not thinking Romulan it's very very Romulan the green dots their plasma guns guys plasma remember the original bird of prey was equipped with a what plasma gun now this thing is beautiful it's not a stealth stealth Cruiser either it's a bird of prey for god sakes and what is ship it is whoever designed this I've been designing ships for 30 Years buddy this by far is the best looking ship I've ever seen. If I saw you showing this thing off in a crowd I wouldn't even come up and tell you I build ships I'd be embarrassed to show you what I built in comparison to this this thing is f****** amazing well done you hit the Romulan Empire right on the head it's perfect.. you want to know a Perfection is there it is right there I can't even I'm just blown away

    I ran across an image of this ship recently while looking for ideas of something to build in a game called starmade. I instantly fell in love with it. I was wondering if you still had the images you used in the video, since I can only find the first image. I even went to Nathan's website trying to find more. Nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

    the wings although mostly astetic in design do have a scientific purpose(although rarely used) wings like that should give a positive lift/drag ratio thus if in a situation like the D where an emergency planetary landing is required(read crash) it would not be as rough as the wings would provide a form of lift for the ship long with any landing thrusters the ship has it is a small usage but important to the talshiar who would look to the preservation of important intelegance

  • @milescyrus5173
    @milescyrus5173 7 лет назад

    Okay one flaw your wings are too thin and your roll bar underneath or too thin and they're not shuttle base guys they got to be the impulse drives or some kind of propulsion unit or even a sensor package maybe maybe even a weapon spot but it's not big enough at that size to be a shuttle deck plus how the hell would you get to it Beam in.so think up the wings and roll bar and it perfection and i dont thinl at that sizes that seperation was built into it but after yo i thinkin up so at least you can walj throught the wing and roll bar seperatipn would defenitly on the tsble

  • @tedsheckler100

    It looks like a Valdore and A Scimitar had a kid. Still not as cool as a TNG Warbird.
    Also, very unfortunate placement of the aft torpedo launcher. There's a reason having two side by side looks better.

  • @sleipnirodin2881
    @sleipnirodin2881 8 лет назад

    Really nice design... But... "engage -> Disengage, you're out" nothing more... There is a lot of obvious weakness in this design.
    So, a "Pure" stryker.

  • @DistantEarlyWarning611
    @DistantEarlyWarning611 9 лет назад +4

    I don't know. The whole "Bird" thing with the Romulans is getting out of hand. Might as well just make a giant metal green bird and call it a ship. The D'deridex class is great, love it. It's birdlike but believable. The Valdore class is cool too. This thing? Sorry. Throw it some bird seed.

    • @lokisgodhi
      @lokisgodhi 8 лет назад +1

      +DistantEarlyWarning 611 I agree. These types of designs are ridiculous. They're too fragile, too ephemeral. There's no conservation of central mass you'd need in a space faring vessel. In a real battle with directed energy weapons and explosive m/am torpedoes ships like this would not fare well. They'd be easily carved up, even with shields. The concussion of the exploding torpedoes would twist and break the fragile hull design. Phasers/disruptors would overheat them and twist the thin sections. Both would breach the hull.
