As a rookie, Lively didn’t miss a single FG in 4 games going against the best defence in the NBA. And he did all that in a conference championship🤯🤯🤯🤯. And don’t even get me started on what he was going through in his personal life.

What every team wants
In the realm of the Wembayma draft/Chet Homgren official rookie year…. I can see Lively always being an underrated center where he’ll never be a redo #1 pick draft option. But always a key piece that will make him a Hall of Famer player.
All up to him for sure… but he’s doing phenomenal already hitting the ground running when he wasn’t a huge piece in college.

Good Lord. There is so much potential on this 20-year old kid. Imagine if he gets to learn JUST a little bit of Luka and Kyrie's ball handling and playmaking, he'd be unguardable. His Euro step is so elegant. His anticipation and timing are on point, reason why he's able to block so many shots. I would not be surprised if he would win or become no. 2 or 3 DPOY in 2 or 3 years. Next year, I see him averaging 15 points a game.
Personally I think wemby’s gonna win DPOY for the next decade💀but I agree lively is a good defender already

There’s an argument for him to be more than that next year. He could be the 3rd scorer (that has to be setup) if he can shoot 40 from 3 like he showed flashes of in game 4 and 5 of the finals.

Watch this guy in interviews. His maturity is honestly unbelievable. You can just tell he’s cut from the same cloth as a lot of greats.
He’s going to be a fantastic player. He’s got great hands and his playmaking is insanely underrated and will open up the offense as he improves. He’s going to get a shot at some point, he’s working on it in practice.
He may not become as good as wemby, but I can see him becoming somewhat of a rival for him.

I was wrong on him. I thought he won't touch a role player minutes let alone starter minutes in the NBA. He got no offensive bag showed in Duke but boy I was wrong how capable he is in anchoring the defense. he didnt show defense that good in college

He could shoot in high school. He can even hit 3s. I think they are just going to bring his offense along slowly. After all, he is only 20 and missed a lot of his time at Duke with an injury. Dallas needed a rim protector and roller and that is what this kid is doing.
