- I managed to make the most legendary upgrade that helped me kill loads and loads of things as quick as humanly possible. That's the best thing about this game. Still on of the best $3 games out there.

Vampire Survivors is a freaking steal. 3 dollars for a quality game that has such a good gameplay loop.
Not to mention that the devs seem to be updating it frequently.
Is it a single player game only?

I know it doesn’t have an ultimate upgrade yet, but I really like the rune tracer, it cuts huge swaths of enemies every shot, and more projectiles = more annihilation
Yesss I really hope runetracer gets an upgrade next because it's absolutely brutal with Mortaccio and duplicator
Runetracer does as much damage as some of the evolved items already, its amazing.
Agreed, it needs an upgrade but I think then they would need another item to pair it with since the only available items are Laurels, Armor and I think the revival and Re-Roll items none of which pair well with it.

@@stephenmemelord2303 Crown should pair with Bone if it ever evolves. because Mortaccio needs that anyways, so i think the Stone Mask is the best bet for it.

why garlic is boring, does little damage, and not real satisfying too look at
to evolve the peachone you need the ebony wing to also be 8, just one of the 2 doesn't do much
he knows, he was trying to that in the first run in this video but then he died so the 2nd time he chose not to do evolve the peachone, he said it makes the game easy and wants more of a challenge
@@rizatusz8163 yeah but in the first run he also said that getting peachone to lvl 8 will get it to evolve while his ebony was 2 and in the second run he still took ebony, as i said just one the two isn't really good
you always should pick duplicator whenever you find it also you should buy the duplicator upgrade from the shop because it is the most overpowered upgrade you can find also you can find floor chickens and other things like fire peanuts from the torches if you break them

In my opinion the bible axe knife fire wand lightning ring with a 6th wild card i find to be the best combo due to passive item buffs but thats just my own the guy with the lightning ring starter item or skeleton are my favorite characters to play with this build

Evolved whip and evolved garlic works perfect
the duplicator and lightning ring pair and make an OP weapon as well as fully evolved santa water being OP. instead of garlic which is really bad late game, evolve the bible which will keep just about every enemy besides bosses away from you

I disagree that garlic is "really bad", but it does fall off on its own. However, it has an absolutely nuts radius even without candalabrador, heals you, and damages and pushes back everything that tries to reach you. It makes for a great anti-melee-enemy tool that synergizes very well with a ton of other AoE weapons that only hit further out, like Vandalier, Death Spiral, or King's Bible.
Garlic is superb early game, and late game Soul Eater is designed a utility weapon. It's meant for spacing and forcing knockback. Try a Garlic/Bible run and you can literally just stand in one spot once they're upgraded.
Garlic is good early on. And it really lets you get a head start on other stuff. Later on, it maybe has some help that it helps with, but the reason to get it is really just for the early on bonus it gives.
@@SephirothRyu Early ease of play and good sustain and support transition late game. Seriously, people sleep on the Garlic way too much.
For those that don't know, it's better to max out empty tome before you max out a weapon, due to a bug that only makes the cooldown reduction only apply after the weapon levelled up. Edit: This is no longer the case with the latest update

My favorite combo's, that are basically run winners on ez mode are Duplicator+Thunder Ring, Whip + hallowed heart, Bible + spellbinder, Santa Water + Duplicator. Beyond these four you can take almost anything and have a successful run while watching your health. Plus, this is an almost stationary build since la borra and unholy vespers make anything get near your take tons of damage.
Used this with Mortaccio and his bone weapon and it's rather op (since his bone does tons of damage at max level, with duplicator to add more bones to the mix)
For best results get the fire wand + Spinach for not only another good evolution weapon, but huge dps boost.
Santa Water evolves with Attractorb not Duplicator.

If its 10 minutes on+ and you can get a chest it will always give you the evolved item, also if only evolved items are rolling by you're getting an evolution
@@vycela It is based on level and combo but there is a restriction on it where you can't get it until 10 minutes in

Had a lv8 lightning ring and duplicator and a chest dropped at 9 minutes.
I waited till 10 minutes to pick it up because people keep repeating the 10 minutes and it didn't turn it into the upgrade.
Tried again at 12 minutes and it worked.
So now I wonder if the minutes are based on when the chest dropped or if that 10 minutes is wrong.
Should let a chest drop at 10.xx and see if it upgrades. If it doesn't the 10 minutes is wrong. If it does, the time is based on when the chest drops and not based on when you pick it up.
To get an evolved weapon from a chest you need to have the WEAPON be max level (level 8) and it needs its AUGMENT pair. (For example whip and hollow heart makes the bloody tear)
The AUGMENT does not need any levels, you just need to have it. However the WEAPON needs to be level 8.
This is the only way to get an evolved weapon and this is a 100% guarantee.
There might be something with having to do collect a chest after 10 minutes, that I do not know. However I 100% know that my above statement is absolutely correct
Time is based on chest spawn time, not pickup. So to get upgrade you need weapon level 8, its pair and picking up a chest that spawned past 10 minutes.
DF slept hard on lightning ring. That one is stronk, the more cooldown, aoe, and projectiles you get, the more the whole screen gets nuked.
My first win was with Thunder Loop and it was amazing to watch.

Here's a fun build that I recommend you try if you love how everything on the screen take a lot of damage:
Ultimate axe (axe + candelabra)
Ultimate lightning ring (lightning ring + duplicator)
Ultimate magic wand (magic wand + empty tome).
Note: the Ultimate Magic want is optional but the empty tome is a must for its coold down reduction.
The rest is up to personal preference.
If you add ultimate king Bible to that you're literally untouchable
unholy vesper plus vandalier is really good, the enemies basically get repelled into the exact radius of the vandalier

You know DF is amazing at games because he makes meme setups and still somehow becomes overpowered
I legit played for 16hrs in the first two days of getting this game, I was addicted and I don't regret it.
Yea the ultimate of the garlic as well as the whip are really nice, since both have life steal like effects.
Using Arca with axe, cross, santa water, lightning ring, and rune tracer; coupled with duplicator, spellbinder, clover, candelabrador, attractorb, spinach. Then walking to the left for the empty tome and walking to the right for stone mask is OP in Inlaid Library. 10k gold easily per run. Clover isn't particularly necessary, bracer is just as good.
Ultimate Garlic + (Ultimate) King Bible + Ultimate Santa Water = pretty much set. I had Dommario with that Setup + Ultimate Whip + two other Weapons that didn't even matter anymore in Hyper Library. I could basically afk for the second half of the run.
I think this is most of the combination I could find, but maybe there's more

Cross + Clover - Heaven Sword
Fire Wand + Spinach - Hellfire
King Bible + Spellbinder - Unholy Vespers
Knife + Bracer - Thousand Edge

Garlic + Pummarola - Soul Eater
Santa Water + Attractorb - La Borra
Peachone + Ebony Wings - Vandalier (you can upgrade this once you get it)
Lightning Ring + Duplicator - Thunder Loop
That's all of them at present until the next update drops anyway. I think there is a new weapon/items there.

If you found the cross, you should keep it for the last boss to kill it instantly
Death does not die to the cross. To kill it you need a bunch of damage, keep it frozen and Laurel so you don't die before freezing it. Death's HP scales with your level though
You can beat Death (30min mark) It unlocks the skin Mask of the Red Death (Yes it's possible without cheating, check the wiki) Red Death starts with one of your favorites, the evolved axe
Also type x_x1viiq very quickly on the main menu, it unlocks a character who starts with Ebony Wings!
you should try to save a power up like the cross for the boss at 30 mins so you can insta kill him.
You gotta try the upgraded King Bible. Get Runetracer to level 7 in a throwaway run to unlock the Spellbinder and just try the Bible, it's definitely worth it. Most things won't even get close
ultimate garlic, bible, and axes let you literally just stand still and nothing can touch you. maybe empty tome and extra candelabrador if you get claustrophobic
DF, gotta try a King Bible, Axe, Fire Wand, Santa Water, Lightning Ring, and Cross Combo focusing on the cross and King Bible evolutions first. Their accessories are Candelabrador, Spellbinder, Spinach, Attractorb, Duplicator, and Clover.
You introduced me to this game, and I have to say I love this game so very much, and the fact we are still getting regular updates for it is fanomanal since the game was already worth the three bucks.
I had a monster run this morning, maxed out the Laurel, King Bible, and had Soul Eater, with evolved whip and Thunder Loop
I find if you pair the King's Bible with garlic armor is an amazing defensive combo lets you kill so many things by walking into them and very little will get to you, and if you throw a bracer( projectile speed) and duplicator in there and you basically become a walking lawnmower.
Hope this will be one of the games he makes a longer series on
This is so weirdly enjoyable to watch, like it's the same thing over and over and yet... i love it so much. I'm going to have to get this game myself, I think, because it just seems so ~satisfying~ haha.
its always easier if you have a big aoe around you like garlic, book and santa water. thats why you were struggeling in the second game :) but good job surviving!
Has anyone realized you can double hit the same side with the Whip? If you A-D-A at the right time you can have the whip swing both hits to one side.

Hey DF, you can kill the reaper to unlock a secret character. You need a rune tracer, click lancet, Santa water, lvl 3 tome and revives. It takes quite a lot of luck to do but it's doable! Here's hoping you succeed.
For the **Rainbow Bird**, you need Ebony Wings and Peachone both at max level. You can't do it with one or the other
If you want a proper buffer zone. The bible is nice... bad early on as it is just one book occasionally that you swing around you like a bar of soap in a sock. But evolve it with spellbinder and it will become a forcefield. Also get the duplicator to plug any holes with more bibles ;)
ultimate garlic + ultimate bible basically gives you a giant bubble of death around you, damn near impenetrable.
Man I need to see you absolutely break slime rancher. I have about 300 chickens free range, and my game is already lagging. I need to see you break it entirely
axe, santa water, book. get their upgrade items. you have an inpenetrable wall of acid, spinning books and scythes. with the skele and his projectile bonus, the amount upgrade, and duplicator its insane. best part is you still have two slots for other weapons. i like to use the lightning ring and cross without upgrade. the cross upgrade just doesnt seem worth it compared to the barrage you get from its normal state.
The King Bible evolution is amazing! Don't sleep on it, it's even better than the garlic late game!
Dangerously funny: so what happens when you take an old man and make all the enemies a lot faster?

Ebony wings + Peachone, bible + Binder, holy water + attract orb, Lightning + duplicator, Fire wand + Spinache, Axe + Candle then the gauntlets to speed up the bible make for an OP build, at 20min+ you can literally stand in 1 spot and just move every so often to collect gems. The monk or raggedy bones dude are best for this build.
He's an amazing youtuber! Calm and funny, chaotic yet strategic... I love DF
the garlic feels like the base armor and it always makes me nervous when DF doesn't take it 😂 i know it doesn't do much damage, but it helps keep things away!

The Book is the best weapon. Pair that with all projectiles, area and, speed boost... Easy win every time. Can literally just stand still for lvl's 60-130...
i somehow managed to find that thunder loop really early when i started playing this, my god, i never felt more powerful, and that was only my third run at just trying out the game

@@lordshadowz2448 I think the pentagram has a damage cap, but the screen clear pickup def kills the big baddie. I seen a friend post a screenshot being at 36:11!

You CAN kill the reaper!!! there are RUclips Guides on how to beat it if you are interested
DF likes extra projectiles? He is going to LOVE the Morticio character (the skelleton). Plus, when you just want absolute chaos: Morticio + his bones + Santa Water + Lightning Ring + Rune Tracer + whatever else (maybe those new cherry bomb things? Or just book since I recommend its counterpart next) to just become the ultimate random-targetting spammer. Well, the fire wand is technically a random targetter so that could come too (better perhaps to just get the normal wand though). Then basically get area, weapon speed, weapon cooldown, weapon duration, attractorb, and duplicator. Especially duplicator. Morticio at level 60+ = 3 extra projectiles. Dup gives 2 more. There is one more in the perma-upgrade menu, for a total of PLUS SIX PROJECTILES.
If you really wanna break the game, if you play on the library you can have a total of 8 items instead of the normal 6 because the map spawns 2 and if you grab them after you already have 6 it just adds on.

Of all of the weapons, I think the Garlic and Santa Water are my favorites. Garlic because of that sweet early game XP+ safety from random acts of bats.
Santa water because it scales in a really fun way with AOE and CDR. The evolution prereq is a bit crap, though.
I dunno, I’m fine with the evolution upgrade just because I enjoy being able to level up faster. It’s not a great min-max item, but it does make it easier overall to get gold.
I avoid garlic, the upgraded Santa Water basically fulfils the same purpose, while maintaining one of the highest DPS's. The Bible is a great alternative also, since it's also great at delaying large hordes/bosses.
@@depressedcheems9961 Garlic late game is almost useless dps wise, but I still like it just as a pushback mechanic. I usually don’t upgrade it though.
@@depressedcheems9961 to me, Garlic isn't taken for late game value. It's because I can frequently use it to squeeze out a bunch of extra levels early. Functionally, it's a tax on my late game in exchange for early power.
10 mins+ is basically a huge stat check. Garlic will have usually gotten me an extra 5-7 levels by that point if I picked it up by lvl 3, which is a lot more common than you might expect. Enough to be a lot choosier with the other weapons I've picked up.
Plus, most characters scale hard enough that just getting past 15 mins with a decent build will net a win. It's just about getting there.

you need hollow heart for whip to evolve and that evolution is absolutely worth it because it has life steal
If you click and hold to move when you have the fire peanut, its easier to spin in circles to kill everything.
To beat death eaters you have to re-roll for high damage high area of effect and low low speed.
Vandalier (birb evolved) definitely op, even if it is my last upgrade it still usually out damages everything on the end screen stats.

A good strategy when you do upgraded knives is to go for the upgraded wand to handle your point defense issues
Pentagram is actually ok sometimes and lightning ring plus duplicated is my favorite final form
You should try out the Santa water. Think it’s quite good when fully upgraded
In the latest update you get I frames after picking up an upgrade, so that's how you didn't die.

You should try out Unravel TWO with someone, it’s not the type of game you typically play, but with multiplayer it’s just so fun to mess around with the other person because of the string mechanics
Hey dt, give Santa water some attention. It actually carried me through library in its evolved state. You need the magnification thing to evolve it.
Df, to get the vandaleir(the op bird) you need peach one and ebony wings to level 8 at least
an evolved knife is like the flamethrower (requires bracer to evolve) you should use that way more
Df use the skeleton dude he gives 1 extra projectiles every 20 levels it ends at +3 extra projectiles with every weapon
That second run really highlights one of the (admittedly few) issues with Vampire Survivors as it is: the Whip, the Knives, and the blue Magic Wand are all underpowered. Any run that doesn't have King Bible/Garlic/Santa Water for close-range shielding is like setting the difficulty to "Hard" for the run. The Whip/Knives/Wand need a small buff or two to increase their size, reduce their cooldowns so they fire faster, or just simply give 'em a small damage buff.
This also has the effect of making certain characters like Imelda (Magic Wand) or Gennaro (Knife) into bad choices despite their non-weapon Trait, and certain other characters (Poe in particular) into near-guaranteed run-winners, no matter what.
Don't get me wrong, though. These are MINOR gripes and the fact remains that Vampire Survivors is still a stupid amount of fun for a $3 game (that will hopefully get even better over time).
Santa Water with the Attractorb forms a circle of death that protects you
Seeing you pass up the king Bible every game hurts my soul.
