The distant damage dealers were the key missing components.
They're essential for fighting the AOE enemies.
The AOE actually has longer range then they do and there's no upgrade for it, so you're better off with fast stuff trying to rush in. Would make sense otherwise but this game is not really balanced.
Don't worry, DF, we all know that no matter the time, no matter the game, you are truly the monster.

I think this is one of the first times I've watched DF play a game that's part of a game jam that I also competed in....
1 day this man is gonna play my madness, and that's how I know I'll have made it.

But everyone should be aware that
1 was my first game jam
2 I had basically no experience going into it
3 Incorrectly layered a few things making it impossible to progress in the game.
I had intended on making an update to fix the layering issue and a few other things but I completely forgot about it due to studying for an exam. I may do that next week after the current game jam I signed up for is over.

It's a shame it heats up my poor phone so much
this game can be easily broken by using and upgrading the trap chests. only that and keep upgrading the slimes. You can get to the point the enemies just have whole-screen AOEs and it becomes impossible to win.
trapped chests also don't really work in the longest run, the hooded woman/red haired woman can disable trapped chests and turn them into normal chests

The way to break this game and become invincible is to get the boomers and upgrade them all day. Drop a few of those and they will one-shot every heroe. Once the screen is clear, spawn slimes that are destined to die so you can get more gems to spawn more boomers once you need them. If you top that with prioritizing grabbing the gems that are closer to the heroes (so they don't level up from those) then you are essentially invincible.
The bonus chests don't just despawn it's even worse. The heroes steal them and get the boni out of them

i wonder what would happen if you just sacrificed the first coffin and spawn slime all the way from the back and made them walk forwards from the start, almost like first army type of thing. anyhow i like this game and ur channel ty for posting
I just played Vampire Survivors for the first time and hour ago, so this is great timing actually!🤣 But being in it MYSELF is a lot scarier than I thought, being slowly boxed in, unable to manually attack, and with no tutorial! XD

Game about overwhe... I mean getting overwhelmed XD You should be able to make some stuff automated, like slimed spawn from your coffin, so that you can actually keep up with the adventurer's spawn rate :D

He'll probably never play this game again but from what I could tell, him spending money on units early on when he didn't need to was a bad choice. Sending 50 ghosts to go take out a dude that slimes could easily handle was a waste.
don't give it much thought, it's just a broken concept game. You can "win" by only placing trap chests and slimes.

DF casually forgetting the most important thing in survivor games: enemies that can be oneshot literally do not exist
...because they got one shot and you blinked so it was as if they were never actually there...
@@auretioustaak6579 What I'm trying to say is that slimes do not do anything in ways of murdering heroes unless they're at least not being oneshot, which they have been for the entire video

Game is good but it seems like there is a wall around 165k-160k. I can't seem to keep them from killing the final coffin in 1 attack (the attack is the full extent of the attack not one hit. Like the volley of knives kills in 1 attack)

Can you do planter crafter
1st is Fogger, as heavys/tanks are expensive
2nd is range, as they dont need to be close to cause damage.
3rd are tanks, as all the others will take the hits so tanks last longer..
But this also asks that you have SOME control over the tanks to SLOW/STOP them before they rush another target with NO COVER.
