I know exactly where you were hunting 😂 It’s weird how the RUclips algorithm works. This video just randomly popped up for me and I immediately recognized it because it’s one of my favorite spots to avoid the crowds across the river.
I've ran that for about a decade now, it gets more people back there now, but the are correct. The only thing is really though on the dogs recovering birds, due to the floating grass mats.
I love my prodigy, worth every penny. The thing about going custom is you the customer, can pick and choose what you need, want, or don't need in your rig. Mine is layed out to work perfect 12 months out of the year. In all you come out allot better than buying a factory rig.
Nice video... so if you had the same rig with a steering wheel instead of tiller ... I guess there would be no way to get out of that grass? I want a steering wheel because I fish a lot and looks easy... but I’m guessing you have to have that tiller if you go in the bad stuff?
You are correct, with the tiller you get faster handling and the ability to really dig. Now that being said with reverse a console steer can works its way out. This was pre reverse dates for mud buddy. A steer model with reverse could get going, however it would be a little longer to get out, but arm would not be tired.
@@A.J.Lindsey gotcha i was like man throw that thing in reverse and gun it when u opened that grass up from behind gotta love the reverse surface drives now
@@bandedcalls Yes Sir, With the aid of reverse I do exactly that, and it makes things a whole lot easier to dig a hole. Those grass mats are so thick, our labs literally walk across it.
Mike Moss Yes .125, they didn't make 3/16 when this was built, one of the first boats. Yes bottom has no dents, the rake has some. Mainly from logs that where not visible, or at night. In all a great boat.
Thank you, this rig is what we call a mod v, some call it hybrid. The bottom of the hull is a smooth flat bottom, the rake however is pulled into a v. This helps the boat break through waves, and is also a good ice breaker.
I know nothing about mud motors. I’ve never been in a boat with one. Are they built to be ran like that or is this guy just giving this one hell and it will be wore out in a year?
Chris good question, the boats are built totally different than a john boat. Do some research, he is just one example ruclips.net/video/2S_lIgWb0vI/видео.html
It actually had gator glide, the issue is those mats are thick and float. Without the gator glide that dig would have been worse. Reverse is a must these days
That motor running was all the music that was needed! Nice video, appreciate the upload!
Thanks
Where did that bird come from?! 😂
More sick vids...motor is only music we need...thank U SIR
Thanks!
There's boats, then there's Prodigy boats.
All the music I need brother
man i love the sound of that motor !
Samuel Audet thanks! Can't beat the sound of a tuned Vtwin

Looks like a place at Palestine ar
This is in Alabama, but Arkansas has some nice hunting area.
@@A.J.Lindsey actually it was the first part that looked like some areas on languille river, dead snags and just plain nasty,
OMFG that is was a hell of a ride 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Badass.
Thing is mean 💪🏼
Lol ppl ask “so how far back you plan on going?” This guys says “all the way”
Nice run! Go get’em!!
Get the prop out of the water, rev it, and slam the prop into the water!!! That's how you defeat the weeds when stationary!!!
That's what works on floating mats, reverse is a big upgrade. Chew it up and send it

No reverse on it?
Not in this Video, It started out as a 2014 5500 HD, this was Pre-reverse years. I later installed a Kit, which turned the HD to an HDR

Keep making videos beating on your shit. We enjoy them
Where are you running your boat
Mainly Alabama
.125 hull? How’s it holding up?
Mike Moss Yes .125, they didn't make 3/16 when this was built, one of the first boats. Yes bottom has no dents, the rake has some. Mainly from logs that where not visible, or at night. In all a great boat.
Does this prodigy have the flat bottom or v-bottom? Awesome rig btw
Right on thanks for the reply

Which motor is that
55 mag HDR. Fully built
LOL "Without Music"

A.J. Lindsey That would have been the end of my Jon boat!
There made for that !!!!
There are some places your just not meet to go !!!!!!!!!!
While I absolutely love this boat, I kinda have to agree. It does destroy a lot of that vegetation.
@@zk2939 most of that vegetation is invasive and will take over
Need some gator glide
