Exactly right. If you can't care for yourself, common sense should tell you that you can't care for yourself and 10 more. But that just doesn't seem to be the case. They have these kids and expect someone else to pay for them. Like the woman who had something like 12 kids saying "Somebody need ta pay fo babies." Disgusting.
Stop the rubbish. Indian people are most hardworking and adjustable in any part of the world and succeeded wherever they go. Maybe that's one of your reasons for anxiety.

Did the one child policy work in China? Could such an authoritarian policy work in India? Would it work for all levels of society? Why did China change it to 2? They experienced a gender imbalance due to people wanting the one child to be a boy. But more, there were not enough younger generation of tax payers to support the ageing population.

Bro wtf, it's correct that India is only 1/3 of China but almost other than few deserted area of Rajasthan every places in India are fertile so people can live everywhere, but 2/3 of China is unlivable only the Eastern 1/3 is livable land area so density wise the living part of China is still more dense than Indian normal states.. China also lies about it's GDP (Voluntarily this time) , basically with what the CCP gave for official number ,the standard of living in China should be at the very least to the level of Romania ,Bulgaria or Albania ,but it's not the case ,and so the lowest estimate put the real GDP of China at 40% of the official number while the highest estimate put it at 60% of the official number given by the CCP .

Raising a kids is not as easy as you think saw my sister have a kid and money wasnt the problem because she has a very good income but the problem was time and exhaution coming from work. China used to be the most populous country, Because of its large population, society competing violently, wages are very low. Many people competing for a good job. Enterprises disrespect employees. They can easily find someone to replace you.
Also Chinese people work almost the longest time in the world. Now people have had enough. The chinese young people are not willing to marry or have children and just live for themselves.
So population decline is a disaster for the country, but a good news for people.
With the popularization of education in India, perhaps young people in India will also be reluctant to have children in the future I guess
