I tell ya man, RUclips is great! I just so happen to have a ceramic shower wall tile repair job this morning! On the first run above the floor base tiles. That have began to detach and sag, with no breaks or cracks. All intact! With some small grout touch ups here and there. Been a while so this helped.
Fantastic instruction! I had to watch many duds before finding you. Now I'm subscribed and can't wait to view your videos before I tackle other projects. Thank you for sharing this thorough information! : )
Just saw all your segments. Great illustration and very informative. Was looking for a video like this one. My weekend project seams feasible. Thanks and keep up the great work. 👍 👍 👍
I have a tile that was cracked and missing a piece when we bought the house. it's an older house so they installed it with a bed of cement. I want to take one out from behind the vanity to do the repair since I can't match it. with all that cement, how do I get the tile out without damaging it? ty
This little ruclips.net/user/postUgkxVoi3B4CB6Oygq1-vo4OTL1M_M5JkrXif tub works perfect in our 6 x 6 shower and is easy to get in and out. Also easy to drain.
Cement board is not waterproof it's water resistant. also you should change that old ass three handle valve which probably caused the moisture problems in the first place
Fantastic skills!! Most DIY instructors would rip everything out, and start from scratch, which can be daunting, as well as wasteful. Bless you sir!!
The section he's repairing ...but all the rest of them will crumble under all that molding behind the the tiles...no one is cleaning the tub at all...
Great video tutorial. Haven't done tile myself in many years and this was a great refresher

I agree
So how did the water get in there and what did you do about the mold????
Wonderful delighted to see a good common sense with clear instructions 💓
I like the safety glasses and gloves that you're using as a safety example for us to follow.
Good looking out...

What happens when the new backer board thickness is different than the old? Too thick or too thin?
Then you’re fucked
Too thick = problem.
Too thin = shim it out to the right thickness
I'm going to use this to help me fix my old ass rotted showerr myselfff tyy
Did it work out? Some muhfucka did a half ass job on our shower and we’re at this point where it’s rotting!
Great. Except not everybody owns an oscillating saw. What did they do before fancy saws?
Great advice thanks alot for your ideas
That mold is at the worst stage ( black poppy seed mold ) do not do this without containing the effected area or without proper PPE !
This is amazing!
Thank you for this video
Thank you for the video. Great help
My bathroom needs a Sorcerer..
4:33 satisfaction!
You didn’t address the seam between old backing and new cement board. It needs to be exposed and waterproofed.
To carefully prop the tiles from the wall - then it falls down to ground, lol
Thankyou.
How to repair wall
Thanks
👍 great!
Is this the same narrator as in Thomas the train?
should have changed out those 3 valves to one knob while you had the wall exposed
