    • @Bluepenguin28
      @Bluepenguin28 15 дней назад +4

      because even tho show's target audience never watch the show they are not complaining about the show either, because they also know the show is basically unwatchable, they are just not complaining because it fits their narrative too.
      if the showrunners start blaming those people they'll also show backlash because we all know those people don't like even a basic criticism. basically showrunners and other shills don't want to trigger a second backlash group

I became more obsessed with Star Wars and dove into a crazy amount of research into EVERYTHING that I probably know more about SW than most SW RUclipsrs!!! I definitely know more than the people that run and write about SW now!!! And now, I don’t give a sh!t about either!!! Good job Disney!!! It’s actually impressive being able to take a Die Hard fan and kill them with the IP they loved! I was also in the process of writing a novel and a graphic novel in the SW universe that I was planning on trying to publish someday (1 takes place during the Clone Wars! And the only takes place in the era that the Acolyte show WAS SUPPOSED TO TAKE PLACE IN!!! The Old Republic!!! But mine was right after all the Raven stuff! So 3,955bby! Well, 'crick' is a legit localism. There's 'slough', like "Slough of Despond, in "Pilgrim's Progress" -- "pronounced 'slew' -- the swampy strips beside gravel roads in rural North Dakota ... which is to say, North Dakota. There's 'biffy' - the outhouse, or 'bath' room, again in the upper Midwest.
    The suckitude of the writing here isn't in the diction. This is one of the few shows I've watched, based on the hate. Haven't seen Akosha (gesundheit), or the Acolyte, Hackolyte, Cellulyte, Fack You, D*ke, Ejaculite (now in delicious strawberry flavor), [somebody, stop me, please] ...
    *ahem*
    Clitoris-measuring contest -- let's not give in to the gender fluid cult.
    Anyways, the big online complete seems to be poor writing. I haven't yet had a prob w the acting. It's sitcom acting, specifically old Disney Channel. That is bad writing, but it's for kids. The formula is, I'm told, fart jokes for kids, sex jokes for adults. So the complaint must be, this is supposed to be for kids ... but it's not. Which amounts to more inappropriate content for children. A sort of DRAG QUEEN STORY HOUR, wasting the time of adults, and corrupting children.
    This would be one of the reasons I'm for public stocks and pillories, caning and horsewhipping.

      @@DarkHourYT I think only playing to your fan base is dumber. As many of you show, hardcore fans get fairly entitled and fickle if things aren't exactly what they want. If they don't have other viewers coming in, they are doomed: all eggs in one basket. Word is, Disney is pretty happy with the viewership of this show (particularly because it didn't cost nearly as much as most of its shows do), and word of mouth has actually had that audience building. I know a lot of folks are determined to see this fail and see Disney admit its "wrongdoing." I personally think the opposite: the more different kinds of things succeed, the more money and interest to get to more characters and scenarios we all want to see. It isn't a zero sum game, and feeding into cancel culture doesn't really help anyone.

      @@DarkHourYT the fan base got bored with what they were making. A lot of new viewers were also checking out because it was hard to watch any Marvel if you hadn't seen all the others. Why I stopped watching a lot of Marvel films several years ago. Also they got pretty same samey. Anyway, done here. Carry on. Like what you want to like and I won't criticize. We are allowed to want different things and to have different ideas. I personally think saying ,"Good for you" to folks who get what they want to see, "and I am hoping to see more of what I want to see because Marvel is thriving" is a better approach than, "Let's make them a failure so they will give us what we want." We're allowed to see things differently.

    Have you watched and finished Charmed? Did you watch Buffy? How about Legacies? Even Coven. That’s who this is made for and everything doesn’t have to be for everyone. If you liked any of those there’s not much of a difference and personally, I’m here for it. No one is forced to watch this show. I’m watching and enjoying it for what it is more witches being bitches.

Plus none of this is important till actual lore happens I doubt the movie where they all fight / help fight Mephisto in faze 6 with Dr strange and Wanda + white Vision will factor much into this show. Or vice versa. I would be surprised if the majority of the witch stuff is even brought up in the main Marvel movies other then where Wanda gets involved. But hey get the money I’m not nocking the bag. The shows just not as bad as people want it to be. Granted there’s only a few episodes. It could still kill itself, but I’m hoping it won’t.
