I really do think Rio was there. But I also think Rio can choose who can see her and who not. So she was trying to get through the spell, I mean it definetly began to fray at the edges even before Billy said the Counterspell, so maybe it wasn't really him breaking the spell, or at least not he alone.
That makes me think what Agatha's encounter was like around the residents?? Did she see them as average residents getting along with her or were they cussing her out from their perspective? Lol
That was my favorite part. Not only was it funny but it makes sense. Agatha is a witch and has always relied on magic to fight and intimidate people. She’s not actually that physically capable in the way other mcu female characters like the Widows, Dora Mileaje or even regular shield agents would be.
I think the scene isn't supposed to match because Agatha doesn't process the same things that people tell her. Like her neighbor said, she was behaving differently for a couple of days. This scene proves that the spell is altering what people are saying to fit the scenario Agatha is seeing.
I thought this too, her version was cleaned up and dramatised for TV in her own head so she’s processing even her own words differently. It is really cool seeing a side by side
Ehhh, I think you can tell what was supposed to be 1:1 and what was clearly Billy saying one thing but the hex changed it to fit the detective narrative. I don't think anyone takes off points regardless as it's creative as hell.
When Teen started reciting the Unbind spell, the chair he's sitting at suddenly changes into the actual chair he's sitting on in real life (outside the spell). I think that's a really cool detail that shows just how Agatha's starting to really get disillusioned from the spell and started seeing things and situations with how it really was.
2:08 - I love how the "Exaggerated talk" capitalization between the two perspectives is exactly the opposite. Upper case in EP 1 become Lower case in EP 6 and vise versa. Really nails the opposite perspective vibe.
I mean to be fair, if I saw a teenager in a hoodie with a facemask getting chased, I would assume that he was a robber and purposely chuck a car door at him
They actually line up fairly well considering everything. His performance in her perspective was so stiff, but in reality he was very open and engaged in her fantasy, until she did the "poke the bear" part and you could tell the actor (Joe) was trying not to laugh. When she kicked the chair and he stayed there and was like, "ow," I was taking a sip of water and did an actual spit take! That totally had me 💀 Their chemistry is fantastic. When they are together, they are just so compelling to watch and listen to. Thanx for this, I was hoping someone would do this!

When I watched the episode for the first time, I actually had to pause it at that point because the pen clicks made me laugh so hard. Especially watching Teen/Billy try not to laugh while keeping track of whether the pen could or couldn't write. I'm so glad someone else laughed at that part!
I laughed at the 'true events' SO HARD! The fail kick that did not send Billy to the floor really got me! XD Kathryn is A GENIUS! It must have been so fun to do the entire sequence again but as 'true events' instead of the cool version she saw in her head in Ep 1.

I kind of love the idea that in her fake world, what Agatha is saying is really dramatic or badass, but in reality she just looks like a baffoon. Like to her it’s this high speed foot chase, but really she’s getting cramps, and her kick is just sub par. Or like the pen clicking, in reality she did it multiple times, almost like it took multiple times in person for it carry over into her fake world
The pen clicking must have wrote by someone who does daydreaming. It so perfectly shows how you can be stuck on one thing for multiple minutes, repeating it over and over, until it feels just right and you can move on with the story in your head.
When we saw her “car” in her living room in episode 1 I kinda felt bad for Agatha 😅, but after seeing episode 6 I didn’t realise the extent of everything not being real 😂. I don’t think she ever left her house those 3 years 😂
She was the nosey neighbour for the past 3 years so she was functioning in the real world in this delusion. She's just been acting weird the last few days with her detective delusion. In episode 1 when the spell is broken Herb says to Agatha: "You haven't been yourself the past few days. Almost like you got bit by the true crime bug.".
I really like that Agatha sounds much cooler to herself in her head than she does to Billy from his perspective. Plus the back and forth with the pen and Billy's "That works now. Now it doesn't..." bit.
Honestly seeing both versions kinda makes Wanda’s hex even more terrifying cuz it’s shows clearly how it looks for people when Wanda rewrites reality. In the wine episode, Sharon hallucinates Wanda and is saying Wanda please stop you’re hurting him, but in the hex all she did was say stop it. So I’m wondering if that was also showing a subtle example of how much Wanda actually changes reality. She is def one scary witch. ❤

Shooting these scenes twice with two different perspectives was a really good idea from Marvel. It really adds to the illusion of Wanda's spell and the clarity that Agatha now has that she's free.

Shooting these scenes twice with two different perspectives was a really good idea from Marvel. It really adds to the illusion of Wanda's spell and the clarity that Agatha now has that she's free.

Headcanon: Agnes “met” Rio when Sharon’s husband died, and since Agatha hated her so much she began to see Rio as a rival or something during each hallucination
The two different perspectives shows how scary the mind works as “Teen” seeing is real while Agatha believing to true under the spell. Remember the scary thing is we can’t tell reality or fantasy if our mind is missed up.
