I preordered the cage on its announcement and funnily enough I got a mail yesterday saying it had now been shipped to me here in Sweden. I also bought the ND and polariser Kase 112mm kit for my first ever Nikon lens purchase that being the Z12-24 f 2.8. I also have received my Fringer EF-NZ adapter, so I will see how well my Canon glass works on the Z9! By the time my Z9 arrives I will have the start of a lovely new system. The longer it takes to come the more I can add to it in the time being!😎😂👍🏾🙏🏾
Hi Matt. Fellow Melburnian here. I got one of those grips for my Z fc, and it was a game-changer. Going from the d3200 to the Z fc, it was perfect for helping adjust my hands to the new mirrorless. Your preview of the Z fc helped me take the plunge into mirrorless. I am continually amazed at how excellent that camera is, so thank you very much!

I pre-ordered on 30th Oct Georges Cameras in Sydney and just paid full price now for shipping on 24th (embargo until then) I was 15th in their queue and they are receiving 25. Needless to say I paid Express shipping from Syd to Sunshine Coast and hopeful to have before the New Year. Cheers.

Gave one Z fc away and a couple months later I received the Small Rig grips on my doorstep. Since I had bought one from another company that had it in stock I sent the items to Grays of Westminster for their demo cameras.
I checked with Smallrig about a Z9 half cage, which I prefer to a full cage as a hybrid shooter and someone who switches from tripod to gimbal. They confirmed it is with their design team. So hopefully not too far away.

Just ordered the small rig L bracket for my z6ii that is being delivered today. The d750 felt small in my hands so I'm hoping the L bracket with help with the grip, making it abit bigger.
Matt, I realize that you are a busy man, but would you have time to test out the Z9's high iso and low noise capability? My Z7II is not nearly as good at high iso as my z6II? Thanks!

I put my camera on one of those Joby gorilla pieces of crap and it fell over never used it again I don't recommend using that on anything it fits nicely however in the trash😅

I have the L-brackets for my Z50, Z6ii, and Z7ii (L-bracket w/ FTZ support). Gives my hand extra real estate to hold my cameras - especially when I put on my 200-500.
@@MattIrwinPhotography Hi for any fast action sports etc., the buffer will fill and slow down. Ricci recommends using Delkin Black or Prograde Cobalt which have sustained write speeds of over 1400 mb/s.

I have the mount for my Zfc as well. It makes a world of difference. (BTW, the mount on the bottom is called a cold shoe, not a hot shoe) :-)

Hi matt teh sustained write speed of the 512 CFexpress NKI card is only 400 MB/s. Way too slow for the Z9.
Too slow for what aspect? Do you mean full RAW for more than 40 or so frames? :) But it is probably fast enough for everything else.
