I like your style ! Nice formatting of the MFD's and the pop up windows with actual footage are a masterclass of additional info. I haven't been flight simming for years and wanted to get back into it so I picked up the Warthog HOTAS and all the A-10 modules, time to start learning how to fly again. My last serious flight Sim experience was Falcon 4.0 way back in the 90's when I had a HOTAS that interfaced with the AT keyboard and RS232 port, and became obsolete when PS2 and USB arrived. Yeah it's been awhile. Been wanting to jump into DCS for awhile, this is going to be fun !

I really wanted to buy this module (coming from the hornet) but I went with f15E instead since I’ve had other people tell me that the a10 is a very difficult plane to fly now regretting my purchase

@modelotime2456, I heard this too, but after I had like ten hours of time in the A-10 and nearly quit. Plus, the A-10 was the first jet module I bought after the Apache. It was difficult, but one day, it's sorta clicked, and it's a lot of fun now. I just assumed they were all difficult to learn because the A-10 was. The F-15E looks like a beast to master with its radar. I might try it next. Hey and thanks for commenting!

@modelotime2456, I started with @raflidude's tutorials, which were exceedingly helpful when starting from zero. I watched each before even buying the mod, just to become comfortable.

On my Virpil Alpha stick, I have two hats, one slightly higher than the other. I made the upper hat TMS because TMS starts with the letter T which I associated with the Top hat.
DMS starts with D, so DMS because the lower or Down hat. This association worked for me and helped a lot. It's reversed on the real A-10 stick, but I don't care.
With TMS & DMS, I found ignoring the term "short" when it comes to long press and short press helped. I wish the guys making these tutorials had realized not saying short and only saying long when it applied would have reduced confusion and the learning curve. For example, TMS UP instead of TMS UP SHORT. Just like on your phone, you have a short, normal press and a long press for the extra stuff.
Active Pause in single player is your best friend. Get a target in front of you and activate Active Pause, then begin to use the different sensors as you follow the videos. Don't worry about becoming an expert on each sensor, weapon, or technique using any of them. Just focus on one and develop the muscle memory. Do that for a day, sleep on it, then try it again. It will begin to stick.
I'd be happy to do some training, but I'm going to be slammed with a move out of state, so time will be limited. I can definitely hit you up after the move. That will give you time to get deep with the mod! 😉 I’m still learning it to this day. But I’m happy to answer any question until then.
