- Finally had a chance to do this run again with KH3 DLC. Old description below:
A fun run I did on Twitch where I fight the superbosses across the series at LV1 (well, base LV for 0.2). Not a to be taken seriously run, since it's full of arbitrary rules, like not doing BBS again with Ven/Aqua or doing all the boss re-fights in DDD. Read the Pastebin below if you're confused:

Imagine if they legit release a game called Verum Rex where Yozora goes through his "trials" and the final boss is the secret episode of the DLC, except we play as Yozora and fight Sora

@@thegamewin100 I can see them going in that direction entirely. It would make the perfect side game before the next main title game, which I believe is what they were planning to do anyway, one side game before Kingdom Hearts 4. Not sure if that's confirmed or not so don't quote me on that.

Mysterious figure without raging is near impossible.
I almost never can first try the fight w/Terra at LV1, so it's never a surprise. I only get really annoyed if I die for more than 20 mins on that fight
It’s not just a matter of keeping your head. It’s also a matter of keeping your expectations in their proper place. With almost everyone on every single super boss in any game, you’re guaranteed to die a few times trying to learn the mechanics and patterns. It’s what it’s there for. You are GOING to have a hard time with it because that’s what it’s designed for. Probe the boss and let him knock you around abit; and, eventually, once you’re familiar with the patterns, you’ll be in control of the fight. It’s merely a matter of practice and patience. Yozora on crit mode taught me that much. Lmao
Edit: And then, if you really REALLY want to dedicate yourself to the challenge, practice hard enough; and you could do what this guy did.
@@UltraObama I dunno if you tried again during these months, but the best advice I can give is to be overly aggressive with Thunder Surges, especially if you're using Royal Radiance, because the Thunderstorm finisher is surprisingly effective. You might even end up breaking his A.I. and he'll never go into his 2nd phase lol. However, I don't know if this'll work on lvl 1 or not, so if you ARE doing it on lvl 1, then my advice might not work at all
Man seeing Sora relentlessly beat Final Xemnas with 2 keys just set the bar high for me when it came to KH final boss scenes...

hell even iron imprisoners 2 and 3 were like this to me, and they're not even superbosses! and yet they feel like one to me!

For some reason he seems to jump less in the data fight than his normal fight

Very awesome video I've found on my feed! There, I'm subscribing.
It’s crazy to see the evolution of Kingdom Hearts III. The combat is snappy and lightning fast now. Sora’s keyblade strikes feel like they actually have weight behind them, and the Data Org is incredible - scripted or not.
KH3 just looks like a naruto Dragonball z fighting game. KH1 and 2 have better combat.
That's actually interesting! The reason for that being that I feel pretty much the exact opposite on how the Combat feels. Though there are definitely some steps up, with Air guard and all that and while I find the Data Org has different issues, at least they're different from the base game, unlike most of the Data Org in KH2 😂
Snappy and lighting fast? Only for the dlc abilities which half of them are kh2 abilities. But still the combo is floaty and trash.
Yeah I agree also really nice to see someone talk about the way they feel in a bit asshole way here unlike two other people here
Osaka's style is here to stay, unfortunately. They will likely never figure out how to properly implement jump physics with a strong sense of control.
I remember when beating unknown was terra, I discovered it’s actually possible to break out of doom when it’s at its 3 second mark, while it’s extemely difficult, it’s possible, I’m no speed runner but wouldn’t it be faster to equip renewal block so you can just block one of his attacks instead of having to use curaga?
This video reminds me of how many unique superbosses the series started off with, they may not have been perfect but it was cool to see what was basically super powerful heartless and disney villains as superbosses, now we basically always get "man/woman with weapon and teleport moves" and make no mistake KH2 really set that up but I'd love in a new KH game if they reintroduced the big heartless superbosses, it used to make it much more like Final Fantasy with their superbosses.
Personally I've always preferred fighting humanoid bosses, it feels much more visceral and intense. You can't really feel the impact when you're just bashing a large colourful polygon on a giant heartless. I agree that they should bring back Disney and Final Fantasy superbosses though, not just originals. Darth Maul and Thanos come to mind as cool ideas.
i agree, as long as they’re well designed, i love non-humanoid bosses. i do like the ones from KH1 but i will admit they’re not as well designed as either KHII or III’s Data Orgs. i’d much rather take Yozora over Kurt Zisa if you know what i mean. but regardless, yeah, they’re not as creative as they used to be. hopefully now that the Xehanort Saga is over they’ll come up with some more creative bosses not tied to 13 Darknesses.
I understand that, but humanoid superbosses are better for creating combos and techniques, giant bosses always end up falling into a situation of doing the same all the time, but I think they should put some through the game, like Dark Inferno

Would you consider doing speedrun tutorials where you describe your exact setup and strategy for some of the KH1 and 2 superbosses? (I personally don't learn well by just watching someone do something, so I think posting a tutorial like your old Data Org video would be cool)
Mysterious figure even worse on psp emualtors, u cant survive 3 second doom even by button smashing, maybe if u have different krybinds for the circle/cross

Was this all a single consecutive run? Maybe his skills are just improving
He had better julius luck as well as MF and no heart luck was better as well. Also countershield/AoE fire strat wasn't really found until after KH3 Data Org

Why isnt the RV reset used in the Yozora strat?
I never had time to learn it properly, otherwise it's probably worth it.
Just when I think there's no other ways he can prove his reign as The One True King (of Hearts) in this franchise, Biz finds another way to unintentionally make us feel like we suck.

Loved this vod. I'm surprised the Iron Imprisoner (at least II4) isn't included in this, it seems superboss-y to me. Maybe that's just because I was bad at BBS though
Idk about superboss, but definitely a harder optional boss than Monstro. I mostly don't include it because if it being locked behind a long LV1 cup, similar to why I wouldn't advocate for Hades Cups in KH1/KH2.

It's not double sliding dash. It's sliding dash into flash step

To fully answer this question, take off dodge slash(in general, don’t equip this ability cause it’s known to whiff hits) because it makes Sora do a series of spins when he’s close to an enemy which is why that move is normally the follow up right after doing a sliding dash. So with dodge slash off, the normal follow up after a sliding dash is now flash step which is usually followed up with either a slap shot or another flash step
quick question, what choices would you make at the beginning for a lvl 1 playthrough in kh1, 2 and 3

This is probably gonna sound like a dumb question but why not use Bambi for the first phase of the Xemnas in KH1 so that way can restore your MP in just the off chance accidentally whiff a punish or have to use an elixer (granted kind of pointless as far as elixers go since not like will ever run out of them)
I've never had that happen, so idk. You only need 1 MP Bar to keep loop going, it's so easy to get that even with whiffing.

Kind of a weird question, but is there a reason you don't pick up Curaga in KHFM and just stick with Cura? I'm assuming MP cost and also that you have so little HP it doesn't matter, but just wanted to make sure
It's the HP thing. MP cost doesn't go up with -ra and -ga spells in KH1 or KH2.

He actually states that there's no point in doing so because his HP is so low. In order to get Curaga you need to find a lot of the dalmatians iirc and he just didn't feel like doing it if he didn't need it I'm assuming

(In vanilla kh1) I choose the magic and left the shield and sephirot kills me in 4 hits at level 100 on proud, biz survive 2 hits at level 1 😔
Cause against super bosses at level 1 it takes at least two hits to die

How do you soft reset? I didn't even know that was possible. I don't play 2.8 very often either though so.
What other game has superbosses like this? I've played Dark Souls and loved every single game but I've been looking for a series with this much depth in optional, completely awesome bosses all the while having a kick ass story.

No matter how many times I see it, I still don't know how you can easily defeat Kurt Zisa with Mushu. What are the requirements?
In KH1 Final Mix, the Devs put in a mechanic called damage storage, which gives your next attack the same power as your latest finisher. However, there was a little oversight in that it doesn't disappear when using magic or summons' attacks, meaning in the case of Mushu every single Fireball is as powerful as the finisher and it just shreds his HP
I have a question, I'm playing my casual Critical Run on Kh2.5. I use trinity Limits and it's doing literally no damage until the end of it. Why is that?
It's not supposed to do damage until the finisher. The other parts of Trinity rack up hits and the finisher deals damage based on the amount of hits. The only exception is if you do something like throw out a magnet before doing a part of Trinity, then the Magnet multi damage hits them

I still can't freakin kill Ansem Data KHIII on Crit LVL 1. I get to his phase where he sucks you in and always get pwnt.
You could have substituted gravity for Gravity Break, and that would supposedly do the same thing. Though it seems ten times more risky.

KH Lvl 1 seems super brutal. At least with all the other KH Games on Lvl 1 you get health increases
It's not as bad as it seems, because in KH1 if you have EXP 0 equipped you can never be OHKO'd, and on superbosses you need to be hit 3 times to die. Just certain mobs are tough

What if they forgot terra was the game for that fight cuz they might have not planned that he'd be fight able as terra maybe because him getting possessed they weren't going to give him a mf post game fight and then changed their minds
I never played kh1 and I don't see life bars on these first fights. How do you know your progress?
All abilities in kingdom hearts 1 except magic are gotten through leveling up including scan and guard so since he is level one he does not have scan or guard
