A THROUPLE from Baltimore are proving that no judgement can come between love, despite being told their relationship is a sin. Katie, 33, and Luis Simbala, 36, have been married for 13 years after meeting at the church where they both performed as musicians. Then Katie met Raquel Martinez, 26, in 2012 - and their connection was instant. They enjoyed a platonic relationship for two years before sharing a kiss at Raquel’s 21st birthday party. The three now live together as a polyamorous ‘throuple’ despite criticism from their church and members of their families.

Polyamory is a sin in the Orthodox Church, the Catholic Church, and almost all Protestant denominations. The stories in the Bible of the men who had more than one wife were examples of what NOT to do because they were disobeying God's will. Be polyamorous if you want, but you can't claim that it isn't a sin in the Christian faith.
Amen. God specifically said so. It's not like I can't accept you for you. But claiming it's not Sin is like trying to re-write the Bible. It's in the Bible where that it's not accepted and it is what it is.
But it is recorded in the Bible that God, speaking through the prophet Nathan, said that he had given WOMEN to David. That does not equal disapproval at all. However, David was confronted over having a secret affair with another man's wife. Those two facts together should really tell us something.
Where is polyamory condemned in scripture? The reality is that Jewish culture was polygamous throughout the old testament. Yes, there are examples in scripture of polygamous marriages not working out well...but in few cases does scripture make explicit the polygamy itself is the issue.
To be clear, the part of this that worries me the most is when they say they are joining an "lgbt affirming" church. I would see this very differently if it was two men and a woman.
Incidentally, scripture has far less to say about same sex relationship between women than it does men. Paul states this is sin when women "give up normal relations with men" - however, these women are not doing that.
There is a potential issue in the fact that he is only legally married to one of these women, and therefore having sex outside marriage with the other. That's not ideal - but if the law allowed bigamy I'm not sure where in scripture they would be specifically in sin. My problem would be that they will be in a 'lgbt affirming church" which I will bet has liberal theology on all sorts of other more fundamental points.
Those men had foreign wives . God didn't care about the multiple wives thing just that they were from other cultures outside of the 12 tribes. Reading comprehension is key.

Also very nearby in that same book, the context of this "fornication" was sleeping with harlots (who tended to be, in that time and place, associated with idolatry and/or trafficked). To help them avoid participating in things involving prostitution, it was helpful to have a spouse.

They're not confused. They're in love. Love is not a sin. God made love for everyone! As long as their respectful, honest, compassionate, and faithful there is no wrong. There are also ways to protect themselves in intimacy to prevent diseases. That's why lgbt isn't a sin either. Intimacy within a loving relationship isn't wrong!!

I am a bit witchy and am bi as well. I tried for years for a hetro ltr it was hell and I was always treated bad. I went to church and wanted to get a father for my kids. My oldest could tell I had such chemistry with her friends mom, but I was trying to hide it. It's hard being of Faith not be cookie cutter. I am me and faith is so personal, the relationship with God is personal.
Christianity a journey , faith alone is vain , unless your work proves your faith. Christians need to crucify flesh , which means to crucify any desire which is ungodly, no matter what. You can't live with a sin and expect to be called christians. The basis of born again means , we get a new identity in christ , if we still have to live that old lifestyle, then it's vain to be called christian.
A committed love relationship can consist of two or more people. If they stand up for each other in all situations and trust God, God will bless this form of partnership too. God has a bigger heart than many believe.

Ppl in the Bible did have more than one wife and husband but that was not what God wanted it wasn’t what God ordered them to do. They were being disobedient. And God even said that he overlooked a lot that the ppl did in the Old Testament out of ignorance but when he sent his son to die for us so that when we believed on him we would receive the Holy Spirit than we wouldn’t have an excuse for ignorance cause the Holy Spirit teaches us and guides us into all truth. So that’s why ppl back than did what they did cause out of disobedience to God.

This is actually a very good point. By the standards of most modern Christians, David was a "fornicator" because he had sex outside of a one man, one woman marriage. That evidently must be a wrong definition, because God gave David more than one wife. God even said so. God DID confront David over his secret affair with someone else's wife. So it's not as though God just overlooked things in David's life.
I agree completely. That was kind of my point. God did not confront David over having many sexual partners; rather, it was the dishonesty. My main point was that the biblical content regarding David shows that modern Christians must be misunderstanding the Bible and apparently they unfortunately don't have the insight you've shared (which SHOULD be self-evident).

Did they say that they were all married? If so, I missed that part; I only heard that two of them were married. Regardless, they could have had a religious wedding that wasn't a legally binding marriage.

There are cases of that. But, most poly relationships aren't triads or quads and they each have different partners. So, a more typical setup would be Alice is in a relationship with Bob and a separate relationship with Charlie. Bob is in a relationship with Alice and a separate relationship with Diane. Etc.

By definition it is. Holy matrimony is between 1 man and 1 woman, and unless you were married by the church it's not a marriage in the eyes of God.
I doubt that's true. Otherwise, before churches were legally allowed to marry same-sex couples they wouldn't have been valid. Unless you count the blessings that churches were doing as the same as a marriage (just not legally binding).

Only one vaguely worded verse in Romans could be taken to imply that woman with woman is sinful. And whatever that was talking about was in the context of things that were happening related to overt, blatant idolatry. That's not much to go off of to criticize the situation being portrayed in this video.
The Bible never said that the multiple wives of a man couldn't love each other. Actually, it seems to me that the most open-minded, plain reading of the Song of Songs/Song of Solomon would suggest that the wives did love each other in that manner.
