I get dizzy on short ladders but I'm fine on rollercoasters. I think it's because you can fall off a ladder but your safe on a rollercoaster. It's a mental thing.
I'm extremely afraid of heights, so I'm glad you filmed this so i don't ever have to go on it! Thank you!! Fun to go along for the ride in the safety of my own home.
Just completed this behind the scenes coaster tour today (8/17). So amazing. Learned so much about how Busch Gardens takes care of the coasters. Norman our guide was very knowledgeable and answered every question. I would suggest anyone who is a coaster fan do a tour like this.
Watching this makes me think about how a lot of work, time, energy, and effort goes into making roller coasters and amusement rides for people to enjoy. I've been on lots of roller coasters throughout my life, and have briefly wondered about the technical aspects of the coasters, but I now have a deeper appreciation for the people maintaining and inspecting them. The part with the lockout system was really interesting, thanks for including that. Norman explained things in a way that was easily understandable. Thanks for the video.
I had a pretty big fear of large rollercoasters but I got over that (at least a little) last year. The thing that helped me was to never look down when going up big hills (always looking out to the horizon), and screaming as loud as you possibly can. The screaming helps release tension.
"Lock out & Tag" is a typical measure when accessing maintenance or service areas of a mechanical/electrical engineered system that could cause harm to a person performing maintenance or to disable a machine that is not currently serviceable. Lock-out should ALWAYS be in place when a moving or high-voltage device is being worked on or should not be used. While that is said, it is actually refreshing to see that a company are using the "Lock-out" procedure, as believe it or not, many companies do not follow this legal requirement.
@@satoshiaaron yes but their fall protection was not up to Osha standards. Belts are only for positioning. need a harness, 6' fall and need a shock absorber.
I worked for Norman! I was a ride operator at Montu until about 6 months ago and Norman was my supervisor! Very cool that you got to interact with him, hope you had fun!

Tim doesn't just vlog about parks. Oh no. He flys above them, goes underground or underwater on tours. Climbs up on coasters where no one would dare to go, and rides all of them. This man is the KING of all theme parks! That's just it! I've never seen anyone so ambitious. Unbelievable, truly unbelievable!!
I love the sound of the motors pushing you on Cheetah Hunt. Remind me of BOV and wastegate noises. Cheetah Hunt is by far the best coaster at BG. Its a lot of fun.

Great video. I’m a ride operator at six flags Stl. From a ride operator perspective this video was beautiful. Here at our park and parks across the world. You must “lock out” your ride when entering a “danger zone” which is any area lower than 8 feet tall. (May differ in certain parks) or when climbing a lift or break run. Restricted areas (such as transfer track. Most times don’t require you to lock out the ride. Just some friendly insight. Great video.

You should really consider taking a trip to Cedar Point if you love roller coasters. They have SIX roller coasters over 200 ft tall plus so many more amazing coasters. I visited for the first time last May and it's the best park I've ever been to. Steel Vengeance is my #1 coaster overall and it gets me hyped for RMC Gwazi next year!

It's so weird that last night I dreamed about a weird non-existent theme park and the highlight of that dream is this weird, Halloween, cowboy-saloon,ghost themed ride lol
I think my favorite thing when you include ride throughs on your videos of rollercoasters is when Jen is on them too and you hear her reactions, her on Cobra's Curse has me laughing so hard.

Gav The boss Banks is a person that runs attractions magazine. It's a youtube page devoted to amusement parks. They do live shows once a week at theme parks in Florida. Sometime tim and banks see each other at the parks.

Good video. I hate you because it make me miss Busch Gardens. I lived in TP in the 90's and watch BG grow. I seen the kids place(land of dragon) be built and the Egyptian section. Seeing Gwazi come up in 98". I'm happy you got to do this. I also still have my map of Busch Gardens for the 99. lol

AroundIndiana I am the same way. A little 6 foot ladder is terrifying but the 100 foot roller coaster is perfectly fine

While not the biggest coaster out there the Cobra's Curse was definitely the most unique in its construction and design.
