Oil Pastel Studies | Impressionism (inspired by Monet)

- I wanted to continue with oil pastels after last week's attempt because I haven't used them in years. I think they are great for impressionistic artwork! I only have student grade (pretty cheap) oil pastels, so the hard thing was to find a paper that they would decently stick to.
I had fun working on these. :)
materials I used:
Honsell Jaxon oil pastels (set of 24)
Royal Talens Van Gogh oil pastels (set of 24)
Clairefontaine PaintOn Multi-Techniques Naturel paper (250 gsm)

Also wanna mention my inspiration for the poppy study from a youtube video. Now that I looked it up again: I didn't realize how close my tiny drawing came to that one. Maybe I ended up using the same reference photo. 😅

@@oilonpaper I've recently gotten back into art in this last month and I've been using oil pastels andblike that I can get that impressionist feel and look without having to worry about buying expensive paint.
