My favourite Hazell Dean single, it kick started her career again. S/A/W may not have written it but they knew exactly it woud suit her voice. She's a lovely lady.

1988, ahhhh the year i became a teenager, Kylie, Jason, Sonia, Bananarama, Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, Yazz, i agree with sharpfitness, by 1988 people started to dress a bit more toned down than the rest of the decade.
Love hazel dean she looked like my ex partner Jacqueline RIP 😪😪😪😪 also saw her live at manchester piccadilly night club over 25 years ago wow I feel old she was good this song defo my favourite of hers
In those there was a black teenager with curly hair sing song, I believe it’s name was “promise and secrets. Can anyone remember this song or singer. I remember lyrics about girl find her boyfriend is same as her friend.
those SAW songs she sung were pure hits .....somehow she didn’t break threw.....if those songs were sung by Kylie Minogue they would reached the tops ....Hazell was the first female singer to score SAW’s first hit ...respect ❤️❤️❤️
My guess is that Kylie was the young and pretty one back then, so she would have been easier to promote. Hazell had been a recording artist for several years and was, by the standards of the time, middle-aged.

🎵Mmm ! Not Anne Murray But looks like Anne Murray ,A song written other than SAW / at the time Anne Murray 1986 not a well known song obviously by a Crossover Pop / Country Singer ,a song like a PWL Tune 👍 I love both versions 👍🎵
Miming should not be allowed there are a few artist who refuse to mime on top of the pops these are the real true professionals. however putting that to one side it is a great track, very catchy.
What a wonderful time, best music, the outfit of the people was cooler than yet, another live back in time.

Brilliant
I think Hazel Dean is a fantastic singer and I listen to her music all the time on RUclips

SAW tracks are so catchy, and you remember all the words. Love a bit of Haze!
Not written by SAW. Jack White (German footballer and Producer) Mark Spiro. Great song and Hazel's version is better than Anne Murray's in my opinion.
SAW didn't have exclusive rights to the style of music commonly associated with them, but it's easy to think that this is produced by SAW.
@@hananokuni2580 well, if SAW would have owned that rights, we wouldn't have Eurobeat, which is in parts a modern version of it :D
Fantastic track. I love it.
Proper music when life was genuinely worth living. Life was so much simpler and better then
Awesome performance by a legend. .this song was such a massive hit in the uk..it was a bigger hit in Ireland where it reached number 2..
So 80 the music 🎵 was great.
what a singer what a talent , sorry to hear no longer touring live,
Kudos to Nicola Sturgeon for getting her groove on behind our Hazell
Reminds me ov our leaving the big school song back in 88.great artist loved Hazel deans songs. She was great back in the good old days.
Heard again once more since 1989 , 34 years Later .......Really wonderful ......
Mike Stock, Matt Aitken, Pete Waterman !! 😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥👏👏👏#NuffSaid , they were "THE HIT-FACTORY" and created lots of wonderful Music ! 👍👍👍#StillListeningToItJanuary2022
They didn't write this one though. Anne Murray had a hit with it in the States a couple of years earlier.

Yes, and we all wish you stayed there. Why? Because you are decrepid!
The Queen of hinrg/eurobeat. Good times, great dance music

FANTASTIC :-)
❤ top notch.
Hazell had such a great figure, whoever thought "I know, we'll put her in a puffball skirt"? Those things flattered NOBODY.
great to find you at last!!!

Great
Hazell and S/A/W at their best!
You mean Jack White. SAW didn't wrote this song.
@@acmenipponair we all know it's a cover of the Anne Murray song, what I mean is Hazell's vocals and SAW's production
Is it you..,....so love this song..2024 anywone?

Love the semi puff ball skirt. Clearly inspired by Celine Dion 88 (a sneak preview) and Sandra Kim 87 ESC
Bueno
Después de 30 años la vuelvo a escuchar en el 2019
Is that Nicola Sturgeon clapping behind our Hazell?
A young Angela Merkou
No it's Alison Moyet
As IF
Seems like she stumbled onto TOTP after taking a wrong turn at the News at 6.

At first glance it looked like Alison moyet
@@kevsbangerracers2027 It was me.
the woman who looked like she could be a side in "Rita, Bob and sue"?
She was trying to swat a fly...awfully!
@@rachelbailey-no2ppDid Hazell ever tell you, who left who?
Wow. That eighties sound.
Found out about this one from the Anne Murray cover.
Hard to believe she is in her 70s now.

Are you thinking of Sinitta and her song Cross My Broken Heart?

Where is the time gone, we're now in 2020 and its pandemic time
We’re really here for the clapping lady.
Hazel Dean was real to the time.
Stock Aitken Waterman's best track!!!!
Also one of their earliest - I think Hazell was writing all her own stuff..
The Puff ball skirts !
Now THIS is entertainment. Not like the modern manufactured ‘artists’ of today! #hellobaldy #fuckthisgetfreddieon
Stock Aitken and Waterman man they produced some stuff still going strong today
Damn - I forgot that Gary Davies was presenting at the time.. and wasn't he on the Breakfast slot at around this time?
No. It was Simon Mayo. Simon Mayo had taken over from Mike Smith. Gary Davis had the lunchtime show.
Always thought Davies looked just like 10cc’s Graham Gouldman.
This rocks! No Serial Killer.
Still got the 45
Slap bang in the Michael Hurll period before Andi Peters bollocked up the programme..
Why is Pauline quirke dancing in the background???
Good song, undoubtedly. Don't think it eclipses "Whatever you do" though.
Who's leaving who? Me, myself!

Why is she wearing an old lamp shade? It's not very flattering.
It is so awesome. But the original song was written by a German Songwriter. This is a cover version
