Just curious. Once you started driving it after finishing the install, you said it already feels like it's got 20 more HP. I'm still learning about diesel engines, and I know a vacuum problem in a car would cause a performance issue, but as a diesel doesn't create, use or depend on vacuum for engine functions as I understand, why would it feel like it has more power after replacing the vacuum Pump? Did u just say that to be funny, or am I missing something? I only ask because I'm about to replace the pump on mine because it sounds like it's about to explode, and I would honestly like to know if it does more than what I was under the impression it does.
It was just a joke.
Ok. Thankyou. That's what I thought, but had to be certain I wasn't missing something. Thankyou for responding so fast!!!
I'm subscribing to your channel right now
@@erikweisz299 thanks brother, good luck on your truck.
I replaced my vacuum 3times over the same thing with the brake issues and my brake booster .It was a crack in the vacuum lines
Thanks for the info
No AC in Texas? Dang. You’re brave! At least I don’t see a ac pump.
Mine kept having the “brake” light on the dash come on. I have fixed it tonight. Haven’t went to test drive it yet. Lol
I’ll put an AC system back in there eventually. The heater works great though. How did you did fix the brake light?
@@TexasBeardAdventures it’s a vacuum leak. I need to seal it up again. When the vacuum drops below like 10 psi the light will come on. I didn’t need to replace my pump. Apparently. But I did anyways
Is your Cardone still working? I've replaced mine a couple of times now (from different manufacturers not Cardone) and they seem to fail with a regularity. Great video by the way!
Mine is still working. I haven’t had to do anything to it. Thank you for watching my video.
All trucks should come with those built on work benches.
💯 agreed…..thanks for watching Jim!
Don’t forget to use the left handed pliers when tightening the big nut.
We are professionals!………how do you tell a left handed nut from a right handed nut?!?! Asking for a friend.
Help! how did you get the pulley back on? Ruined the vacuum pump trying to get the pulley back on. thanks
Is that portion not in the video?
I could have sworn we went over that part as well.
The aftermarket after 8 months the cardone pump still work ?
Yeppers
@@TexasBeardAdventures ok thanks
Is it the same as the 6.9?
Im not sure
What size bolt does the pulley take on the vacuum pump?
Length or diameter?
