Hey man I am looking to replace that pump too the front line near the pulley cracked open and so like you I'm stuck till its done Thanks a lot for showing me the easy way to get it done
Only reason I came here was to see what it sounded like when you were all done. Mines making a major sound difference just don't know if that's a problem or not
Thanks you OleNasty79 for great video on 7.3 vacuum pump removal. May I ask if you had to remove the pulley on the new pump in order to be able to screw the 3 bolts back on? Or did you use regular wrenches? Seems the pulley may be in the way of getting to those bolts as seen when you removed the old pump. Blessings
You can also just bypass it in an emergency with a smaller belt , good luck if your broke down and reading this, you'll still have brakes so take it easy🤙🏼
You suck at writing. You just mashed a question into the end of your sentence. End the sentence with a period and write the question separately. Holy shit, people's intelligence has been thrown violently out the window.
Where does that vacuum pump hook up to the ac vents? Mine is stuck on vent after IPR replacement, and I bet some hose got knocked off and now my ac is stuck in defrost mode.
If you haven’t found this already go under your passenger side dash. There’s a little lever white plastic that attached to a rod down there. It comes off the rod a lot and your ac will be stuck in defrost. If that’s attached then it’s a vacuum line but most of the time it’s just that lever coming detached
Hey man i need to replace mine man. No ac. Abs and brake light on. Helicopter noise. But I see there two type. Some are literally like $100-150 and others are almost $500 bucks which one did you go with
Its been a while since I did this but if I remember right there was one with the pulley already pressed on and one that needed the pulley pressed on. I went with the already pressed on one. But again, its been a long while.
@@OleNasty79 I was told those dorman ones go out quickly. And I can’t seem to find the oem ones in stock. Currently having issues with two injectors. One I suspect has bad o rings. And the other isn’t spitting oil so I’m guessing it isn’t firing
Use a 2x4 block and a dead blow hammer and beat it as close to level as you can. Don't be afraid to do it twice to get it right. If that pulley is crooked it will shred that belt
Bro i just saw your video great video, im have the same issue but its the City those M/F fuck with me and they just come to me that i cant work on my stuff in my own warehouse well its not my warehouse im leaseing i think someone is snitching me out because same thing you look around and the dude next door is working outside with a big mess of oil in the floor ill find out whos snitching me out.
The mandatory cursing is understood and advocated for this type of repair.
Perhaps the most accurate description of making this repair.

All hail the 7.3 love them best diesel I've owned till date
Why don't you use any punctuation at all?
Had me dying at “hopefully, idk wtf I’m talking about really” haha
Helped me out my pump is bad wasn’t sure till I watched this one.🤙
Glad I could help.
No punctuation. Why?
Thanks! Loved your reaction when you dropped something! Ha ha!
You had me dying. Cussing right where I would....
I just replaced my vacuum pump only to realize the noise is coming from the power steering pump and it sounded just like yours! 😂
My pulley locked up. Can't tell if my pump went bad or the pulley. The pulley was jumping around. I'm stuck on the side of the road now
Only reason I came here was to see what it sounded like when you were all done. Mines making a major sound difference just don't know if that's a problem or not
Okay. You told me I "gotta do that shit"....subscribe that is. So, I did. I hope my subscribing helps you as much as you helped me!
Thanks buddy!
I'm about to replace that same part as soon as it comes in the mail. I am hoping it will fix my braking issue.
If you haven't already fixed the problem you can order just the drive mechanism mich cheaper just ordered one for my IDI turbo
I learned and laughed.
I understand the frustration. 2 nd time in 3 years. Fkn ridiculous

ChrisCityCarsBikes&Trucks Napa sells one with the pulley already installed so I didn’t have to mess it
Thanks for the help:)
Nope, just belt off unbolt three bolts and move hoses out da way, and she'll come out up top😜🏆🏁🔥🍾
You can also just bypass it in an emergency with a smaller belt , good luck if your broke down and reading this, you'll still have brakes so take it easy🤙🏼
Love the vid man thanks!
My new vacuum pump doesn’t make the squeaky noise should I be worried? I was hoping to hear it squeak!
I'm not sure if that's good or bad, lol

I got that fuck with me sign too
Happens to the best of us, lol

Mnfer…. Like button lmao
Mine is making that hissing noise to and my brakes go to the floor and don’t return
Might have a leak in the brake line
How did you put the pulley back on the pump?
The new one came with the pulley already installed
@@OleNasty79 Damn. Do you have any ideas how to put one on? Mine didn't come with it
@@garrettmorris3762 you'll have to press it on with a hydraulic press or rig up something you can press it on with

bastards
Bud is there anyway you can take the pulley off without the specialty tool?
I'm sure you can but it might not be easy
Yea
What was the part number please?
I'm not sure but it's pretty available at most auto parts stores
They don’t have one with the pulley already on. I found one with the part number 64-1029. Is that the one you got?
@@calebhickslsracing2226 I'm not sure, I got mine at NAPA
