However, if you believe your team will always blow it, as a Mets fan they've trained me to always feel this way despite the score or series lead, then your team just failed the opportunity to knock a team out when they should have been at their lowest and now there is a rematch of Game 2 which the Mets won and if the Dodgers lose Game 6, anything can happen in Game 7 and those players that seemed so loose in the first five games might be playing a little tight which can be a recipe for disaster. I wouldn't bet on the Mets to win this series, but I wouldn't be comfortable as a Dodger fan either.

Okay. This is long. Please read on a computer not on a phone. You're going to hate it, but if you keep an objective and open mind and be 100% honest with yourself, I believe it holds water. First thing, the Dodgers Moneyballed pitching. I didn't think it was possible amd after I gave the three closers, many others saw this. Media even picked up on the bullpenning the games, where you could run the same bullpen session and the all the batters will not see the same arms. Line up. We can agree that 1-9 any bat can hurt no matter what order, but 1-6 are key. The starting pitcher must keep their pitch counts low facing these guys without giving up hits or runs. Most of these bats are very diciplined and easily get full counts. If you go full count the pitcher has thrown 18-25 pitches(given a few fouls) which is 20-25% pitches for your starter. The starter will begin to crumble within the 3-4 inning. After that I hope you have 5 dominant relivers to close the game. "it's plenty wise. great guest host. as a dodger fan, I'm happy the mets won today though. the scary thing for dodger fans is losing yet another starting pitcher. if we do go to the WS that means were going with two pitchers if flaherty plays like this. anyway... i also think mets have a decent change next game with menea pitching. it might go to a game 7
Another great show - glad the Mets pulled it out - didn't want to see the Dodgers celebrating at Citifield. Glad Mendoza changed the lineup - keep it this way for the rest of the series. Winker is a ball of energy - love the guy. Jeff McNeill is a professional - drove in 2 runs with sacrifice flies - didn't strike out or hit into a double play. Starling Marte was a beast - hope he keeps this up the rest of the way. Alvarez is starting to break out - thanks to whomever got him to turn it around. Just take it one game at a time - we got our ace pitching in Game 6 - so play smart and loose, no free passes (walks) please!!!!!
I truly believe Reed Garrett's place is t get the Mets out of a jam when he creates his own it doesn't go well. It's because of that he is in my circle of trust to come in and strike out the side during a bases loaded jam. if he comes in to a clan inning he is NOT in my circle of trust to throw up a zero.
Bullpen game this time around will be different. There will be no rookie Knack in the early innings like in Game 2. I expect Roberts to open it up with Brasier, then could go with Hudson, Banda, Kopech, Phillips, Treinen, etc. Just depends if they’re up and matchups. Bullpen will be well rested so I expect some of them to go more than 1 inning.
By now u must know that I’m a Dodgers fan, however, Mets will lose on Sunday, I like both of you girls, n I can’t wait till Monday to see ur reaction. I really enjoy ur show, but the thing that I love the most is ur passion n love for the game
Commenting the next day. I am very happy they didn’t lose on their own field. Sean has been the most consistent pitcher. So that is good. I thought the Mets were beyond flat in the first game. They can’t come out flat after the cross country flight and need to play good defense. Alvarez got going and putting Winker back in is huge. If they don’t get to the WS i say it was a huge mistake to disrupt that lineup chemistry. The broadcasters are awful and biased for LA saying it is all set up for them pitching wise and they did everything right. We will see if they are right. The Mets seem to play their best with their backs against the wall so we will see.
Also, I would have to say I see way more Dodger fan support for you guys in the comments than Mets fans. It’s overwhelming in Dodger’s fans. K bye!!!!!!
I agree with not starting Senga being a wise move. I can understand sticking to a plan for better or worse, but a smart manager needs to be able to read the board too. Putting Senga in despite how awful he's been thus far would've been the most tone-deaf thing that Mendoza could've done. But putting Peterson in was the right call.
Another great podcast. Really hope Ashley enjoyed the wedding 😂 Please can game 6 be Samantha, Ashley and Dan the intern round the table, after midnight, maybe with alcohol??
Using bats instead of POGO STICKS or KENDO STICKS is great. ALVAREZ, MARTEand everybody else just clicked, even McNEIT had two clutch RBIS and the POLAR BEAR was finally great.
Dodgers fan here. Samantha: I have a feeling that game 6 will be tight; same should there be a game 7. The question, I think, is whether it’ll be tight offensively or defensively. Will it be a run fest or a pitcher’s duel? The reason the Mets won today is because they were loose. Should these teams both stay loose, we could be in for one hell of a finish.
After the wild pitch, I was expecting the ball to go through Alonso's legs, Bill Buckner style right after. Like an inverted 1986. Thankfully, that didn't happen, though ironically, it DID happen to the Yankees in their game later. They wound up winning anyway, but still, kinda freaky.
Dodgers fan here. Very concerned by Freddie’s injury, Teoscar’s lack of hitting, and inconsistent starting pitching. Dodgers had to put it away last night. This series is a toss-up now.
I don't even know what to say. Saw things I both loved and disliked. I can wax baseball details but at this point the only way the Mets win is magic. Smart move by Dodgers to let Honeywell pitch as much as he did, the Mets scored 12 runs and used only 2 relief pitchers. Smart. Mets bats came alive as did the team. Winker in! Squirrel is back! I still don't think they'll take 2 in L.A. but the future is bright and if the Metsies DO manage to take the last two...woof. That would be more incredible than the Giants beating the Pats when they were undefeated.
Like many, my mentality was that the Mets needed to pitch in the strike zone to the Dodgers. Throwing outside pitches to them would be like hitting Hulk Hogan while he's hulking up; it will NOT work, and you will regret it EVERY time. The reason why the Dodgers had been winning by such blowouts were not because they were turning the games into Home Run Derbies (in fact, they popped it up more than they homered out), it was because they were getting hits that, with no runners on base, would've done little more than just put them on base, little at a time. But when we'd walk them, we were practically gift wrapping them extra runs for every hit they get. Thankfully, Peterson understood that, and the relievers did too (most of the time). And that resulted in the Dodgers having to RELY on hitting home runs just to get on the board, which is what the Mets had been doing up until then. Whereas in this game, it was just the opposite; the Mets were getting the timely hits (AND hitting home runs) and the Dodgers found themselves having to swing for the fences just to catch up.
Mets refuse to die. Play there best when it’s do or die. Mets have there ace goin Sunday. Just have to make it to game 7. Anything can happen, This is a series again. Let’s go Mets
Marte Starling(2024 NLCS): Game 1 L: 0 for 4, 2 Ks Game 2 W: 3 for 5, 1 R, 1 RBI, 0 Ks Game 3 L: 1 for 3, 1 K Game 4 L: 1 for 5, 1 K Game 5 W: 4 for 5, 1 R, 3 RBI, 0 Ks = 9 for 22(.409, 1.026 OPS), 2 R, 4 RBI, 4 Ks, 0 BB Game 6: ?
Hey, you two beauties!! You must have jumped up and down like it was NEW YEAR'S EVE when the METS won. Above all, the METS hitters didn't leave their bats in their hotel rooms, nor did they use KENDO STICKS or POGO STICKS to hit. THEY ACTUALLY USED THEIR BATS, INCLUDING "NO HIT" ALVAREZ.
Jesse is the kind of player if he with your team you love him if he not you hate 😂😂😂 you get the ying yang with him he on the Mets right now and I love him
Even though its over they were able to salvage some of their dignity. Even in a win they gave up 6 runs. The Dodgers are happy they will take it at home. Alonso is still gone.
The specter of Dave Roberts utilizing a Bullpen Game in a potential series clincher is mind-boggling! I like our chances to force a Game 7. If Hollywood crumbles due to this bizarre tactic it may cost Roberts, his job. Dusty Baker anyone?
The biggest mistake was shorting the bullpen before a 7 game series. Having Ottavino & Lucchesi would be so much better than Acuna & Senga. Mendoza defended his decision in the pre-game 6 interview. He doesn't admit his mistakes; he just gets defensive.
Here’s the thing. You guys were so hopeless after game 4 last night, and many deemed the season over. Then you win game 5, and all of a sudden Mets are winning the series with two games left in LA. Isn’t that kinda funny?
The METS needed to win this game because it would have been just depressing to see the damm DODGERS eliminate the METS and celebrate their pass to the "WORLD SERIES" at CITIFIELD humiliating the METS' fan base; the METS' NATION.
We are not freaking out. Not at all. The Mets have to bring their pitching and offense. We’re confident with our offense and just have to bring the pitching.
When it was 8-1 in the 3rd inning, Roberts punted the game. The Dodger hitters were still trying, but Roberts just left his pitchers out there to wear it.
I can already hear , I 💙 L.A 🎵🎶🎼🎼 We 💙 it 😂 , if we lose to the Mets I'll wear a Mets hat for the rest of the year 🤫 , and no not concerned or worried .
How/Why did this show up on my feed, who knows but I'm LOVING this podcast! I shared it on my DODGERS WhatsApp chat 😂 L&S DONE ✅ Keep up the great work! 🤩 and GO DODGERS ⚾
You all should feel RELIEF for not losing the series at home, NOT HOPE that you’re going to win the series. Dodgers already saw the “New Manaea” so they’ll adjust. The Writing is on the wall, Dodgers in 6.
The fact that the dogers have a bullpin game 6 and 7 is good cause i think the mets will hit more and for the mets want to win these two games they meed to score at least 7 runs or more.the dogers are obviously a good team so all i can do is hope the metsies pull threw.
Mets fans still waking around with their World Series lottery ticket in their pockets? How many are ready to join hands and sing "One Game At A Time Sweet Grimace"? Congrats on 3K subs!

I’m a new follower but I’m already outraged that Ashley couldn’t be here for this. 😉 (No offense to your intern guest.) To answer your question, no, as a Dodgers fan I am in no way surprised. We won 98 games but I swear there’s not a Dodgers fan alive who felt like this team had a shot at 100 wins. They never seemed to get really hot, they never had a stretch when the rotation was solid for two weeks, and they never seemed like they had a killer instinct. Very weird season, so this isn’t surprising or even all that troubling.
Menbozo would have gotten crucified if he started Senga, Iglesias and JD and they lost. It was a no lose situation for him in starting Peterson, Winker & McNeil.

If interested look into Japanese whiskey, Grand Seiko, Hagorome chaulk, coffee culture, jeans, etc.
We've exported our culture and the rest of the world has caught up. We first saw it with Snowboarding, we saw it with the NBA with Luka, Joker, Dirk, Wemby, and now Yuki. The Japanese now rule skateboarding and now they're making a run at baseball.

This podcast is legit cool.
❤❤❤
high compliment thank you
I LOVE this show!
thank you so much!!
Win or lose im here great show. Go dodgers
❤❤❤
thank you LGM!
great guest host. as a dodger fan, I'm happy the mets won today though. the scary thing for dodger fans is losing yet another starting pitcher. if we do go to the WS that means were going with two pitchers if flaherty plays like this. anyway... i also think mets have a decent change next game with menea pitching. it might go to a game 7
We let them live another day trust me u guys r done in LA…. by the way good podcast 👍
I'm mets and dodgers and yankees fan. you ladies are the great podcast.
How come you're not a SF Giants fan too? Can't you embrace All of new York?
thank you!
McNeil is such a better choice than Iglesias right now. His defense is fine and at least he takes good swings and puts the bat on the ball.
The Dodgers bullpen is so good. I just want a game 7!!!! Win or go home but if my Mets can win one more who knows!!! Let's go Mets!
By now u must know that I’m a Dodgers fan, however, Mets will lose on Sunday, I like both of you girls, n I can’t wait till Monday to see ur reaction. I really enjoy ur show, but the thing that I love the most is ur passion n love for the game
❤
thank you so much!!
The Mets only focus should be to win game 6. If they do that, anything can happen in a game 7.
Great therapy session Samantha and Dan! ☺ Great job, see you Sunday! LGM!
They should really start paying me
Commenting the next day.
K bye!!!!!!
Not worried as a Dodgers fan. Dodgers fought back and showed some fight. Mets were due for a big comeback win.
Menbozo would have been crucified if he started Senga and it went bad.
@@jamesbuckley8917 Absolutely.
Starling marte is so underrated.
In the 2nd half he had .635 OPS. Not too good. He has been solid in the post-season though, with .785 OPS.
Another great podcast. Really hope Ashley enjoyed the wedding 😂 Please can game 6 be Samantha, Ashley and Dan the intern round the table, after midnight, maybe with alcohol??
The alcohol comes after the game 7 win😉
@@SamanthaCrostonTV Loving the optimism 😁
In the two Dodgers losses it’s been the earlier game time starts strange but true
Mets gotta win two in la.. certainly possible..and they have the pitching they want.. but they have to score runs..or it's over
LGM 🧡💙
Here’s hoping. If they win game 6, I truly believe anything can happen
Dodger fan, subbed
❤
Jeff for Jose was a good move
If the Dodgers are up 10 to 2 in the 4 inning the games over
If the Mets are up 10 to 2 it a close game
After the wild pitch, I was expecting the ball to go through Alonso's legs, Bill Buckner style right after. Like an inverted 1986. Thankfully, that didn't happen, though ironically, it DID happen to the Yankees in their game later. They wound up winning anyway, but still, kinda freaky.
Gotta keep winning so we get more of this podcast the “world series edition”. LGM
❤
we pray
Dodgers fan here,I can’t watch dodgers based podcasts. This is my 5 episode of WAIAMF. It’s fun, energetic, and honest.
BEST COMMENT EVER
love you for this
Dodgers fan here.
1 game at a time, it's not impossible. Had good vibes all day yesterday and they won. Have my tickets for game 6 and 7 watch party. I believe.
you simply have to believe
I can’t wait to hear from her again
If the METS win the first game of these last two games, I believe, GOD WILLING, that they'll have a 50/50,chance of going to the "WORLD SERIES".
SAME
Mets refuse to die. Play there best when it’s do or die. Mets have there ace goin Sunday. Just have to make it to game 7. Anything can happen, This is a series again. Let’s go Mets
To me this series is the real World Series. Don’t think the Yankees or Cleveland can beat either team.
Marte Starling(2024 NLCS):
Game 1 L: 0 for 4, 2 Ks
Game 2 W: 3 for 5, 1 R, 1 RBI, 0 Ks
Game 3 L: 1 for 3, 1 K
Game 4 L: 1 for 5, 1 K
Game 5 W: 4 for 5, 1 R, 3 RBI, 0 Ks
= 9 for 22(.409, 1.026 OPS), 2 R, 4 RBI, 4 Ks, 0 BB
Game 6: ?
I hope to see Mets win a World Series ;-; LGM
I’m glad the Mets didn’t allow the Dodgers to celebrate at Citi Field!
The biggest mistake was shorting the bullpen before a 7 game series. Having Ottavino & Lucchesi would be so much better than Acuna & Senga. Mendoza defended his decision in the pre-game 6 interview. He doesn't admit his mistakes; he just gets defensive.
Daiz and Stanic 🇵🇷🇵🇷🇺🇸🇺🇸 who we trust 🔥🔥🔥🔥
And Brent Honeywell play in game 6 and replacement for Jack combo flaherty and be with Daniel Hudson on 8 or 9 inining
Yes , yes I’m confused. I’ve never witnessed such a hot/cold performance in a series
Calm down. The Dodgers fans are freaking out for sure. The Mets this year no one can predict. 👻👏👏
THANKS!!
@@SamanthaCrostonTV my wife & I are STILL here in Queens for the weekend, dinner down in Rockaway tonight. LUVin' NYC 🥰
thank you so much we really appreciate you sharing it!!
You all should feel RELIEF for not losing the series at home, NOT HOPE that you’re going to win the series. Dodgers already saw the “New Manaea” so they’ll adjust. The Writing is on the wall, Dodgers in 6.
From a Dodgers fan congratulations Mets fans, if it’s not the Dodgers winning this series I hope y’all beat the Yanks in the world series.
Same. So same
Dodgers fan here. Happy the mets won one at Citi Field and I'm slightly hoping for a game 7. Dodgers in 7, Yankees in 6
Love the podcast btw :)
thank you!!
Congrats on 3K subs!
thanks so much!!
We wasn’t going to sweep…it’s funny to me how passive teams get . See you in LA !
❤️ DTM. Dan The Man is the best. Hope to see him join the two primary stars more often; or, you know, perhaps something like a comparatively smaller, yet nonetheless gravitationally and tidally important moon of a larger, two-faced, girl-powered planet.
(Yep, should have just stuck with: “Dan’s the best - and you two fine ladies ain’t half bad either.” 😜)
OMG DODGERS 😂
Here it is!!!!
One day and one game at a time Lgm 🙌🙌
I’m a new follower but I’m already outraged that Ashley couldn’t be here for this. 😉 (No offense to your intern guest.)
To answer your question, no, as a Dodgers fan I am in no way surprised. We won 98 games but I swear there’s not a Dodgers fan alive who felt like this team had a shot at 100 wins. They never seemed to get really hot, they never had a stretch when the rotation was solid for two weeks, and they never seemed like they had a killer instinct. Very weird season, so this isn’t surprising or even all that troubling.
fall weddings are the worst. i'm back tonight for whatever happens!!
The walks ARE A STRATEGY. Watch Severino's post-game interview.
Dodger fan here. I think its going 7
It just has that feel, doesn’t it?
Menbozo would have gotten crucified if he started Senga, Iglesias and JD and they lost. It was a no lose situation for him in starting Peterson, Winker & McNeil.
Congratulations to Samantha on her wedding..
I'm feeling good with Manaea in game 6.
