I appreciate you reaching back into the past. This was my first smartphone that lasted until my Nexus 4. Phone was pretty durable even after several falls and one while left on top of car.
POV me: ahh yes my new S24 ultra.(I look in my broken phones draw and I see my old S) Me again: Watching youtube on my new S24 ultra in 4k resolution. RUclips: recomends this video.
My God I remember how bad I wanted this. The charging port on the top is familiar to me since my Omnia II had it the same :) Man a 1GHz CPU was the shit back then, it is nice to see how far we come and just think about where we will be in about 8 years :O
I tried using my Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 the other day. It's a shame that hardly any apps are compatible anymore (it still has Android 2.2)! It was pretty cool because I still had all my games and some very old selfies on there 😂 The UI is quirky, probably a bit too much for the single-core processor. It wasn't my first tablet though - that was the Disco 7000 with a resistive touchscreen (you release how brilliant capacitive touchscreens are)!
That brings back memories! I had flashed mine at some point to get some cool features. They it would be in an endless boot loop, I had to make a USB cable with a resistor on the other end to force it into firmware download mode / recovery mode. I couldn't receive SMS on the third-party ROM. Also I didn't want to pay for data back then, thinking I could always connect to WiFi at home / school. Fun times! I remember that thing getting so HOT when you would charge it.
So cool to see you doing a meetup!! I can't go but I am pumped as I just bought my first car, I am going to fill it with tech 😁!! LIFE IS GOOD!! Have a great day everyone!!
Give it away! To me :P I owned the first Galaxy S when it launched, I still have it, but can't use it(as my emergency backup) because the screen is gone as I stored it in an air-conditioned compartment on a road trip. I want to change the screen, but I can't find an AMOLED replacement and LCD just wouldn't feel right. BTW if you open its camera and start recording a video clip, you can see the memory the recording is taking. 720p was a big thing back then. Nice and simplistic phone that I still adore. And also, great videos! Keep up the good work!
Man, time goes very fast. Smartphone technology these days has become more mature, innovative and efficient. I wonder how is the next generation of smartphone in the future will look like.
I still remember my first Galaxy S, since it was my first smartphone, and I know it definitely did not come like this one! It had a big plastic "screen protector" on the front, with all kinds of logos and print on it (so not really usable as a screen protector).
No the won't my dad uses a samsung note 5 and it never lags(has a lot of apps) and i used a note 3 neo (age old) it is still working fine.....Only the j series are like that the flagship devices are far better
I have a lot of nostalgia just by seeing this phone. I remember when i was in Secondary School, all my friends including me used to have this type of phones square, small, bulky and lag not like S3 or S4. Heck, no one own a post-S3 phone from what i remember.
My dad used to own a galaxy s2. He passed it to me when he got a new phone. I remembered it to be slow as HELL, full of bloatware, 5 out of ten times I can't even unlock and the 5 times it does unlock I get stuck on the home screen 3 times. I still cherished it tho. It was a much simpler time back then.
I still have one of these at my home but it doesn't work. At that time my father bought it for my Mom and an iPhone 4 for himself but he lost his iPhone soon. This phone was a beast at that time. Have a lot of good memories related to it.
Announcement - a HUGE collab is coming this month... 😉

Just install CyanogenMod. Faster and a newer Android version
Niall Asher I'm just keeping it as it was for now as it also has apps that aren't available now, plus the nostalgia factor :)

Illuminati: Don't fucking move
You shouldn't breathe that stuff, you might die. You're going to need to start breathing oxygen
LOL indeed
Still got my samsung captivate from ATT, I'm lowkey proud it still works.
Stop throwing ur phones during a review
Imtiaz Jemi who cares. It's his phone. He only throw his phones at the grass ground, not concrete or asphalt.
Hafidz Zakaria ok but still
Imtiaz Jemi I bring my s8 fishing...gets splashed by saltwater here and there...is that a problem?
Rey Fuentes well it is your device and you're free to do as you wish, but the IP certification is for fresh water only, just be careful.
Alan Gonzalez thanks bro, don't worry I give my phone a nice fresh water bath after a long day at sea...
My first smart phone was the Galaxy S and when you account my phone before it was a regular flip phone, it was a huge upgrade.
Boss please can i get a like for seeing first??
Timothy L why don't you shut your fucking ass up n
+Bhargav Sharma The day I take the advice from a smelly brownie would be the day the world ends. So no thanks :)

One single thing Samsung *proudly carrying* still in 2018 is - *LAG* . It's Samsung Patented Property.
Basudeb Chandra sad because you haven't used higher end models
Prabhu Parmar all phones are shit the flasgship starts lagging later thats just it
No the won't my dad uses a samsung note 5 and it never lags(has a lot of apps) and i used a note 3 neo (age old) it is still working fine.....Only the j series are like that the flagship devices are far better
Prabhu Parmar even s8 lags dude
it doesnt lag, it has a few stutters thats it
The video makes interesting cuz of ur voice. Ur voice is amazing,👍 I'm ur biggest fan really
Can't forget about the Epic Galaxy S with the keyboard that was with Sprint
In the US the first released Galaxy S was the Vibrant, didn't have a front facing camera
Henry Padilla the Sprint version did.
hipking23 also the Vibrant didn't have an actual home button
My elder brother used to have this phone i really really loved this phone, the camera was pretty good and i absolutely loved the small design.
Yay! I had this phone... And thus began my love for Samsung!
I have a lot of nostalgia just by seeing this phone. I remember when i was in Secondary School, all my friends including me used to have this type of phones square, small, bulky and lag not like S3 or S4. Heck, no one own a post-S3 phone from what i remember.

Can't wait for the collab! But where did you get the Galaxy S😂😂? See you've been digging! Love the video...
Back when samsung was just a "me too" company. Oh how they have grown.
We already know this is going to be awesome😂
I just love the way he signs in and out..
I’m so excited for you to get 1 mil subs
I bought this in 2010..had a very interesting music player application
You can enable more animations in settings -> display.
Still have that phone and those earphones were just too good
I had this one when first came lots of memories with this. My friend use to have sony but infront of this that time nothing stands...
