The price is too much, but very interesting. I do wish my hitbox had a couple macro buttons in a more ergonomic position for SF6 like just above the light and medium punch buttons.
They will never be the company they want to be with those prices. How can you price an arcade stick higher than a PS5? Someone explain this. A case, a board, switches, sanwa buttons, some wiring.. Almost $700?
If you don't get any of the components, it's $300, but yeah that's still way too much for DIY, especially one made of plastic like this one is. Just go for something like an Eternal Rivals where the price is MUCH lower.
Companies adding a touchpad button forget that the touchpad button doesn't work on anything that's not a Playstation, so you need to be able to switch between the touchpad and Select
Love your videos! You have checked out almost every controller I'm looking at now and one I already got (Victrix pro bfg). I am looking to try out a leverless option and Sinoarcade has two viable looking sub 150$ options with mechanical switches. They are the SallyBox LED and RTU Mini hitbox, both use a Raspberry Pi Pico and I think are kind of a niche no one is talking about too much. If you made a video with your opinions and viewpoints on either or both my prayers would be answered lol. 🙏🏾
kitsune looks like an excellent unit, i still have the og panthera and razer build quality is so good, i do wish theyd make a noir layout for the kitsune
few days ago i actually have the chances to tried the prototype in my local and ill telly ou for me its just perfect no other way to said it the mechanical key is really good and you can do easy halfmoon motion or ewgf without even trying, and the arcade its just amazing. Personally it felt really lite button so be wise of pressing the button. For my experience this is the best mix box out there
That controller costs almost a month's rent, but it is freaking awesome. But it'll be A WHILE before I go anywhere NEAR buying this. Having said that, many thanks once again to @NihongoGamer for your amazing content.
I built my own 11 button fight pad (inspired by a couple of your videos) and have been using it since the start of SF6. $60 all in and it is set up perfectly for me. I understand people spend money for hype and bling, but I don't see how that $700 controller is in any way better than my $60 version.
@@leviuchiha3002 Sure! I used the Husky Build-Out 12" ($10); 3x sets of EG Starts 5x24mm buttons (3x11 = $33); a Raspberry Pi Pico ($4) plus some wires and the other miscellaneous bits to connect everything. I've also added a couple other buttons that I used for testing. Still, all in all, under $60. Of course, I'm not including tool costs. I already had everything I needed to build it like the drill, soldering iron, etc. I would like some pictures but youtube removes links.
I’m just going to wait untill 2030 when they have the controller that hooks up to your brain where I just think it and the move comes out Or find a eye track that has macro moves in screen
The retail version of the VB1 can do this. The jump button is in the middle so you can use your left thumb. The touchpad button is underneath the light kick button so you can activate it with your right thumb.
LOL funny enough... i was expecting a giant centipede-type trackball someone down the center of the chassis like in those janky/tacky all-in-one arcade cabinets i mean, you'd be covered for all arcade games now, right? haha
Hey man, you're my favourite controller reviewer. Please review the new 8bitdo Neogeo replica. (Sorry I have nothing to add about this video. I'm only interested in controllers, not fight sticks.) Your videos are great through so I'm sure those that appreciate fight sticks will appreciate this video.
This looks really nice, but I'd rather have one of those Snackbox micro's, but they are never in stock and I'm in europe... I've looked into Razor's version but that one is too expensive (Im on PS5)
I said "$300 is not bad at all", until you said it was the case only. Gorgeous design, but fñçk me sideways if I'm gonna spend $800 on an arcade controller. Especially since I already have like 7 fight sticks, including a hitbox and Victrix Pro FS, as well as Victrix Pro BFG.
This is pretty cool for collectors but I can't really see this being that useful competitively. No good player is going to switch their movement buttons mid set and IMO even SF6 doesn't need that many macro buttons. Maybe a couple extra would help, but seems a bit overkill. Probably good if you play many different types of games on the controller, but if you're just playing some of the standard popular fighting games I feel like you're better off just getting a standard leverless or a regular stick/crossup
Just depends on how competitive you’re willing to get. As a hit box user I see this as fanciful push in the right direction. At the very least (2) additional buttons (14 total ideally) should be standard on a hit box for THROW & DP/DI
This is such good video. But this ASi products feel overpriced and not a good look knowing that the golden levers are known for having QC issues. EDIT: Forgive me for everything ASIndo pro!!!!
Thanks for the content! I know it probably sounds weird but does anybody make this style fightstick with a detachable joystick instead so in theory you can switch between bat top and buttons?
I'm sorry but they're out of their mind if they think I'm paying 300 dollars for a case. 150 at best. It has a plastic top and bottom. The grips better come in with it at the 150 dollar price point. This is just rubber. Rubber is cents on the dollar. For 600+ dollars, I can get a custom controller that can blow this out of the water clean with all the same bells and whistles. I'm not going to pay 50 dollars for a WASD add on that I can get anywhere else for sub 20 dollars. It has their branding on it as well. I should be getting paid to advertise their products at 600 dollars. The buttons I can outsource myself, and it will be much cheaper. The only thing that stands out on this controller t ome is the button layout for extra buttons. The installation fee is expected and that's a decent price considering some customs will charge about 100 for labor. I will wait for the all fight sticks variant for 400 dollars cheaper, but this is a cool video to see things I will never support. I could see if the metals were exotic materials but it's just standard
I don't get all the fuss about SF6 macros tbh. 8 buttons are plenty enough. Just use your damn pinky to react to DIs. All thise companies doing these ridiculous controllers with 1000 buttons... I really think they're looking at the problem from the wrong point of view. When I designed my all button controller I put the most work in reshaping the button layout to be more ergonomic instead of placing more buttons aroud an outdated layout.
For some people. The extra keys on the keyboard can get confusing and in the way. Also you cannot connect a keyboard to a local easily if they use consoles.
I still can't believe people actually use macros for 2 and 3 buttons. Shameful. I'll never use macros. As long as whoever is designing the game does a good job I shouldn't ever need to. I consider using more than a single button in any fighting game without pressing them all manually is akin to cheating.
just add a mouse and you can play MMORPGs in that controller.
Ok I have to try this now!
Agreed. I like pressing buttons, that’s why I’m still in gold 4. 😂
You could play valorant on this thing too
The price is too much, but very interesting. I do wish my hitbox had a couple macro buttons in a more ergonomic position for SF6 like just above the light and medium punch buttons.
So, this is the Lamborghini of controllers.
so many new fancy fightsticks yet I see the same ones from 10+ years ago at every grand finals.
yes qanba razer and hitbox are too good
They will never be the company they want to be with those prices. How can you price an arcade stick higher than a PS5? Someone explain this. A case, a board, switches, sanwa buttons, some wiring.. Almost $700?
All this stuff is hand made without the benefit of economies of scale. Try and make something of this quality and see how many hours it takes you
@@KaitouKaiju what is hand made on this stick? I want to know!

The spring loaded ball bearings is such a good solution! Why didn't I think of that?!

I currently own the VM6 but pre-ordered the VB-1
Looking forward to getting mine 💪🏽
on the topic of too expansive controllers, also looking forward to a review of the new razer all button one. :D

At that price it's fine.. Id rather make one with a Pico an old shoe box and the switches from a 1987 IBM computer keyboard. Lolz.
I got the pxn x8(v1.12 firmware socd cleaning) for just 50$. I rather get new PC components than buying that over glorified keyboard box.

I can get whole fighting game setup with that price 😂
ASIndo branding is on-point. I knew instantly it was from them.
all preorders are sold out already
That is hilarious, it’s ugly. Why is the up on WASD a space bar.
It's much cheaper to buy a Hitbox CrossUP and just replace the lever with an ODIN or something.
Is there a leverless controller with a jump button for left thumb and drive impact for right thumb?
The retail version of the VB1 can do this. The jump button is in the middle so you can use your left thumb. The touchpad button is underneath the light kick button so you can activate it with your right thumb.
@@NihongoGamer Thanks. That's close to what I want, but it looks like your thumb would be tucked in. I don't like that placement.
Can you this controller for like hyper spin, launch box?
The price though? I mean you could almost buy both a Victrix Pro FS (which used to be the most expensive) AND one of the many all button fight sticks.
“Get ready to turn it up to 11”
I see what you did there.

I can ONLY do the Daigo Parry in my sleep. 😢
I'll buy this to keep it in an acrylic box for show.
Why does it look like a Deal or No Deal case?
They went too far with this one 😂
I shivered after hearing the price point lmao

The leverless controller consumer base is being exploited. They are becoming rip offs
bro, they should do a board full of buttons by now
yeah people should just admit skill issue at this point, peripherals cant be absolute perfection
I don't know how can it be "enjoyed " without a joystick, especially with fighting games.
This looks really nice, but I'd rather have one of those Snackbox micro's, but they are never in stock and I'm in europe... I've looked into Razor's version but that one is too expensive (Im on PS5)
Those things are close to impossible to buy. At the end I would probably buy the B1 mini but I really wanted the EVO one.
The case may be very nicely crafted but it sorta still looks like cheap acrylic. For $299 they could have thought *a little* about aesthetics.
No links to product page?
Price is insane, it's like asking to go bancrup.

I wonder how many people will actually use this legit outside the novelty of it?
probably not much

Usually, people buy from this company for the looks.
How long are me and my kids living for my great great grandkids to be born by the year 3000? 😂
Ok math is not my strong point lol
The price for the push buttons is insane when you can get mx switch buttons for a third that price. Also Cherry switches suck imo.
Did you get a discount code to hand out for this?

Everything everywhere all at once.
Hey, is this an ergonomic controller, cause I'm playing pc (keyboard) right now but am looking for a more ergonomic control device.
Average Silver player's controller
Well I guess I'll have to steal one hehe.
man, these controllers are really getting out of hand.
It's also about 1.5x the amount of rent I pay.
I am from Indonesia but their stuff still very expensive even though we are in the same country 😂
Same, they use the USD rates for their price so like us Indonesia who have lower buying power, It will be really hard to buy it.
Why have 1 if you can have 2 ''big brain meme explosions''.
Thanks for the content!
I know it probably sounds weird but does anybody make this style fightstick with a detachable joystick instead so in theory you can switch between bat top and buttons?
The Omni arcade button module screws into a normal fight stick hole so you could swap them out.
Real gamers play with their stick
That's a lot of money 😅 but it looks awesome
