Only two flame colors? A Yellow, orange and white flame would have been better. No improvement on the glass reflection either. Can’t believe I’m saying this but I think I like the Amantii Symmetry Bespoke Extra tall a little more. Love the Modern Flames Orion and still like European Homes Kiruna. Both are out of my price range now unfortunately. Winter is coming LOL ,will have to decide soon. Look forward to comparison videos!

My wife but bought me a dimplex ignite xl bold ,I’m having trouble w the front screen the touch screen does not work ,and there’s a small gap between the front and 2 sides screens,anyway u can can make a video on building one,can’t find a video anywhere ,thanks guys
It is already outclassed by the Modern Fireplace (Orion) Series with NEW HELIOVISION Flame.

Orion looks a lot like the Kalfire E-One series. Too bad Kalfire is not sold in North America, only Europe as far as I know. Wondering if Modern Flames outsourced it? Orion is very different from the rest of Modern Flame’s product line. If Orion’s cost was a little lower, say 4500 and not 5500 or 6000, I would hit the purchase button!

Great stuff, as always, Trevor! Since you've got the ear of the Dimplex guys, can you let them know it would be awesome if they came up with a minisplit version of their Revillusion electric insert? I'm trying to convince my wife to go with a minisplit to heat our great room, but it's a hard stop because she finds the indoor units hideous. It makes a lot of sense to be able to "hide" it in plain sight behind a gorgeous flame.

Hey brother, a bit unrelated to this vid but more to a vid you made on gas systems but I wanted to ask an expert opinion. We have a ventless gas fireplace and within 2 hours of it being on with the windows closed our apartment gets a funny smell, there is no gas leak when the system is off but it seems like its putting too much gas when its on. We literally have to open our windows when its on which defeats the purpose of it heating. A repair person came to look at it and said nothing wrong with the system. what is your opinion on this is that normal or should we be able to use it with the windows closed without getting a gassy smell to the apartment?
Yes that is normal with vent free, they produce odors because it’s 99% efficient so the other 1% of gas is going into the home. I never recommend running them without windows open
